hi there.i want to know your opinion about what gear is better for SR at A grade.Most ppl tell Maj and SB.Ive tried that and in pvp sux.i have very low at.speed even with Rapid fire on.Some sayin SB for PvE Carnage for PvP.dunno what decision to make.i was thinkin put some +dex dyes but i dont know if its good to put one in 63+ lvl,this would be bad for pvp.in same gear with HE i still have lower at.speed (i think passive skill of HE for at.speed superpasses that 5difference of DEX they have).help me find out the better set up. ty :)
Honestly, if you calculate DPS, DC light > Maj Light.
The +1 STR in DC Light and +4% damage = +8% Patk Bow w/ Maj Light. Do the math. They are the same.
BUT - DC Light also gives you +4% Atk Speed, so DPS in DC > DPS in Maj.
Soul Bow is better for PvE. You'll use less mp / shot. But Carnage is better for PvP or if you PvE areas with low HP mobs.
End of the day - SR's rely on speed/kiting/evasion/crit rate/atk speed. Period.
carnage bow +8 or more ;) or better - if you're only 6x, reroll a dagger :)

Yea, kiting is only one true thing out of it. Evasion is usless for archers, crit rate - every archer can reach the cap, and even self buffed HE has practically the same. And as for attack speed, if I correctly understand Gracia changes, rapidfire may become pretty much useless.

everything is changing in ct2.1. The best bow dmg will be from 700-900 range.
In ct2.2 the elemental dmg on bows is going down.
Your best bet would be to add Soul bow W/ quick recov, so your fire rate increases. Kiting isn't better then standing in one spot and sniping (not the skill).
Use a BD to increase your atk speed, crt dmg, and P atk, while your crt rate can increase with song of hunter from a sws.
The SA options on carnage isn't good enough to matter for PvE, or PvP, and the P atk is too low to matter. You don't seriously think that mana up is really going to help u in PvE.
Soul bow + QR, or cheep shot, only SA's that matter. Till drac + focus.
about rapid fire in gracia someone informed in other post that when u have rapid fire on u ll do the same dmg as before,so its not useless.ill first lvl him more to see 70+ stats without changing something in setup.ill continue with maj+ soul bow CS.
Agree with zhoffryn, MJ light & high oe Carn w/CB <- has slow effect in CT2 for pvp and for pve a Soulbow w/CS will do to save on mp (unless you're able to duo/box with a recharger)..
Well i'm a SR 72 atm, with this update my P.ATK got a huge drop, and for SR is the most noticiable, because he's a speed based char, with low str, but we got even lower... but i hope things would change.
My set atm is the MAJ SET + SB CS+5; and waiting to get to lvl 76 to get my hands on my drac bow :)
For pve this is the best set, ofc if you wanna go PVP, u need the SHYEED BOW (or how it spells :P) with FOCUS.
Now i wanna hear some opinions about DYES, i have a +4dex-4con; and was thinking on adding a +1con-1dex and a +1str-1con making my statistics +4dex,+1str,-6con i think... What you guys think??

Wouldnt it be more simple to add a +1STR -1DEX then? :o
