Well Age of Conan got boring and I heard about the Gracia update from some forums, so myself and 2 others decided to give lineage 2 another try and reactivated our accounts.
The last time I played the game was in 2005 or the end of 2004 I believe so as you can imagine nothing is the same as I left it.
My first question is in regards to the pet wolf since i may be playing a buffer class and reading through the forums it seems they really need a pet to level. The description said that after a pet dies you have 3 minutes to resurrect the dead pet using a pet rez scroll I would assume. My question about that is in the event of your pet dying and then you dying right after it, does that mean the pet is dead forever, or when you rez do you have a dead pet next to you that you have 3 minutes to revive? I dont mind the whole money sink of a pet but for the chance that some higher level feels like killing my pet and then me just kinda makes it not worth the effort if hes gone for good in that situation.
My next question is in regards to a party setup. At the moment we have 3-4 people the 4th being kinda flaky as far as if hes going to play or not. Basically we have a Destroyer and a tyrant and we need 2 other classes that would compliment that.
The initial plan was SE + Destroyer + Tyrant + TH but the SE decided that she wanted to kill people instead of buffing. With the Gracia update I believe the noob buffs go to lvl 62 but after that a party without a buffer seems like it would be a tad gimped. So I was wondering what 2 classes would go well with a Destroyer in a party of 3 that may add a tyarnt for 4, I was thinking WC + Bow user + Destro wouldnt be bad but the WC lacks a direct heal, as well as im curious about the impact of the new holy nukes for bishop, SE, and EE(atleast i think ee gets it). Also since the tanks now get 2h/dual wield skills I may be able to convince the Destroyer to be a tank but he really loves the orc look. Hopefully we'll get a setup before gracia... and before we run out of character slots again.
So I think that sums up my questions for pets/party setup for now we already had to switch from bartz to pheonix server because we filled barts with chars that wont be deleted for another 5 days trying out different things... this game really needs to fix the deleting process.
For the pets thing, last time I had a pet I remember the pet dying so I quickly SOEd back to town to get a pet rez but the pet followed me to town dead so I could revive it there. Was that supposed to happen or was it a glitch? I don't know.
Time to rez a pet is 20 mins (but I think that is changing but not sure).
Four toon party that levels together with what you and your friends want to do (this is my thoughts.. I may be wrong):
Dest, Tyrant, BD and WC - or switch the BD with a WS - because you will need a ton of shots made and in the next update a WS gets some interesting buffs. The other option is doing Dest, Tyrant, WC and Bish or a summoner or a tank (with a tank you will be loved by a clan as well as an active Bish). I know that a bunch of people will hate me, but most will agree, a PP and SE is something that you 2 box (being a SE I can say this).
At higher levels you are going to want/need a BD. A WC or BD can be easly boxed and both are fun to play live.
My current group setup is EE/WC/BD/Tyrant/Destroyer. I play the Tyrant live and box the WC and BD, my wife boxes the EE. Now this only really works well in a cata since I don't have to move a lot.
Do you find yourself actually needing the recharges and party recall though?
I'm just hoping I don't hit 66 on the bishop before CT2, coz I'm at max buffs on the gladi atm and I dont wanna apply 22nd buff slot book just for prayer, when they are moving dances to a seperate bar soon. (Might just skip reflect dmg lvl 1, but I like the extra dps).
Ok so another friend went out a bought the game this morning now were WC, Bishop, Destroyer, and he wants to be a Beserker, then theres still the maybe tyrant.
On a side note I thought WC got a + M.Atk buff but I cant find anywhere on the skills list so I guess they dont'?
I know they get Atk spd, P.Atk, P.def, Crit power, Cast speed, and cov..
That group doesn't really need the +matk buff but to answer your question only SE's and Overlords get it. In the next update the ES the LE summor gets it too with one of there pets.
