Hope this will happen on a more frequent basis, and that i can witness such a happy day as well. Seing a GM come and kill bots when i'm close would be a joy for my eyes. :D

For what? do you know how many Hero's and Uber PVP's people admit to me they Botting or I find Botting and can prove it. every single day. even on the dam PTS.

Some have been doing it for years and even got they Buffer banned so they say. few months latter you see that same buffer that was told 2 me it got baned.

petition is a waste I don't even bother any more it's seams 2 be part of the game and 75% of players seams to do it and never gets banned.

Another 10% do it but they stay at the computer. I know because even thou they talking 2 me when I do the test for bot test... they fail and I just laugh and say botting much?

They then do 1 of 3

1. they keeping botting and ask am I going 2pettion and I say for what and they laugh and keep botting.

2. they log off right away (I like when they do that it's funny 2 me)

3. they keep trying deny they botting (which turn me into f you your busted mode) when they realize it's no good they busted, they then beg me not 2 report them. I never answer I just let them think what they want and walk away.

So best 2 play and enjoy the game and train the jerks if they have a room you want.

When they come back to the computer hours later and ask if you train them just say "dude I just got here" :p

c) the boting 24/7 guy is still boting in the exact same spot 2 months later
d) c) leads me to believe the hero toon that was bought for cash will be running around franz unimpeded for many many months

Sadly sometimes I feel this is true. I have watched a number of clans go from lvl5 to lvl7 or higher just from boating toons to lvl 40. I have reported a number of toons day after day as they lvl up, and they do there sub just to see them get hero and nothing happens. But somehow I do still find some hope from time to time, always reporting them. It just seams to take for ever for any action to be taken.

I am sure there are ppl within NC that do care about the problem, it just seams eather there are not near enough GM's to handle the few servers we have, or they just have too much red tape to go through for each ban.

Those "free" one-week accounts where you cannot drop or trade anything, but are still able to pm other people.

easy to use as a temp adena seller spammer.... just turn off that **** PM function on those accounts and we're done for about 90% of adena seller spam pm's...

yeah the conception of people emediately trying to kill gm's is well pretty obvious about the mental strength of the players.

It's one thing for a gm to show up in an arena or to instigate an assault.. it's completely another for one to simply be moving around other zones and suddenly alot of people have "kill the gm" on thier mind. Why at this point i can't comprehend, it's pure stupidity, player waists it's time and adena and what ever else, gm doesn't die to essentially god mode, waists gm's time.

Course if the GM's were on more regularly and more then just "spam" sightings every blue moon, the attraction would be significantly less.

I think it more stems from a friendly sense of competition and a way to connect with the people who are more intimately associated with the game.

Sort of like when you are young and tried to wrestle your father. In reality your father could pick you up and throw you several yards without breaking a sweat but you still do it. I think there is a certain level of testing of seeing if maybe the gm is in regular player mode, with the possibility that one could say they "killed a gm".

But it's all in good fun for the most part.

And I agree, it is a shame that we don't see more gm's. Of course I could see some of the problems that might bring up because if there is a greater gm presence eventually you will start having people saying that they are friends with the gm's and that the gm's give them perks.

I know there have been people who have claimed such things in the past. keeping the gm's more rare might help to cast doubt on such claims.

Ok, but this statment really shows how appearance is more important than "what one says".

If gm's appear on occassion then players assume they are finally taking action and removing bots. But if gm's work even harder behind the scenes to remove bots but there is no presence then players assume nothing is being done.

So lesson learned. Gm's need to remove bots by actually logging in and making a show of it.

It's something that doesn't ever happen, people started messing around, it was a very few players actually attacking the guy for a very short period of time. Players like that don't need to worry about a few wasted soulshots or arrows, one of the many perks of an end game clan.

If I ever am to see a GM I might feel like: I want to "kill" him/her on the spot in the game just for the idea of having a centerpoint on which I can release the frustration I have gotten over the years with this game. Mainly this is due to what I believe is rooted in the feeble attempts at how they manage the anti-baddie patrol.

Maybe like in a weird way I want try to knock some sense into those GM's for lacking the skills/knowledge etc etc to keep the baddies out.
Of course the debate whether or not they do their jobs is void here as this is how I feel about L2 more then once.

I know it's a waste of SS/Adena/time etc etc and I for one will count to some number and move on. I rather not interact with GM's at all these days. Hence why I declined to partake in the raids Omega tried to organize on this PPS.
Last PPS I saw Omega in Giran town... I basically made a detour just to avoid seeing a GM on my screen.
(I mention Omega here is I did see him devote his personal time to help this PPS. Commendable indeed. I am no way mad at Omega as a person but more at what he stands for.)

Utterly silly and yet this is how frustrated I can get from seeing baddies etc in game if I am to play the game at all.

The current dmg log is a piece of crap. It seems as though it was created with the determination to make it as useless as humanly possible. I am not surprised if people decide to mess with that.
Especially since other players don't suffer from it.

But anyway, it's good that bots are gettin banned, although it will hardly change a lot. Unless spam spends a few days only banning bots....

Gratned its a moot point since the EULA is never enforced, but any changing of the client side interface is technically grounds for a ban. Hmmm.... maybe if NCSoft and HGMSpam had been as attentive in the entire time the game has been out about things like this it wouldn't be such an event. If you look at it from an empirical view, you would see it's a pretty sad attempt at controlling players that they have allowed to do these things with very little repercussion throughout most of the game's life, imo.

And if you have seen the video, you can see that many of them were having a really great time.... though in just a bit the servers went down and many couldn't return.....

The way I see it it's just someone customizing their interface to suit their preference and nothing more. I mean take WoW for example, personally I don't like the game at all but it at least gives you the option to alter your maximum zoom settings along with completely restructuring your UI without it being seen as a breach of the EULA.

The fact that you can't do that in this game is ******ed on it's own, banning someone for making a change that is completely and utterly harmless would be ******ed to an even higher degree.

First of all, your sarcasm is horrible. Not that that is any surprise because basically everything you have ever posted is pathetic.

As for me being upset, far from it. There is absolutely no reason as to why someone pointing that out would upset me in any way shape or form. I did however find the fact that he/she decided to point out something so incredibly insignificant to be highly silly and comment on it in my own little way.
