WS and SP in CT2...

Dwarf Classes Started Last reply 15 posts
I was wondering if Warsmiths will get their SP recalculated in CT2 or that we need to hunt for SP to buy the new skills.

Reason for asking is that in both CT1 andCT2, the WS needs the same amount of SP for the skills, but we not have more. For myself it doesn't have to be a problem, since I hunted a rough 750K extra SP to compensate with the skills up to level 52 (which I will have reached when CT2 is released), but I can imagine that WS's of higher level might have a SP problem when buying new skills in CT2...

The amount of SP needed for the skills has been changed in CT2 (applies only to classes that has been given new skills and normaly only at the levels they got the new skills)...

I know that, and that's why I've asked the question... The rough amount of total SP to be paid per level to buy all skills before and after CT2 is about the same. Only problem is that there are a number of new skills to be bought, while old skill shave been lowered in SP purchace price.

If there is no recalculation of the SP spent up to CT2, the higher level warsmiths will have a huge shortage of SP, and thus a disadvantage over the lower level warsmiths, who will be able to buy some (or all) skills in SP2.
it happened alot of times before and there always was no refunding of SP so there shouldn't be any this time either.
I will take the new skills and skip a skill 76+ skill...the new skills are alot more usefull.
Why do ppl get all the skills?

My hierophant's BD sub just got her lvl 66 skills and ended up with 8m extra sp. She isnt taking any of the Dark Elf Fighter skills, except for hex. I think by the time she hits 3rd class SP will be no problem at all.
Not all classes has skills that aren't needed...a WS and BH needs all the skills they get (maybe not light armor, and the toggle skills).
My gladi alt on the other hand has lots of SP extra because they get alot of skills that you don't need (skills that can't be used with duals and sword/blunt masteries).

I haven't taken any of the light armor masteries or the toggles, but I know I will take the new buff/heal skills and fatal strike (I hope I have enough SP)
most of the skills are low lvl so you can almost ignore those if you are 60+ it's just fatal strike that will sting a bit
last i checked i was short 40 mil sp to get all my really cool skills but since i am still waiting on a decent 79 or 80 skill i have 20 mil sp in the bank
those buffs might be low lvl, but they are still very good even at 76+
basically half-***** might and shield
nothing too impressive (apart from embroid) it's just because they are dorf skills they start to look really good ><
Welcome to the world of a Pally, Gladdy, any type of healer, wc or an OL etc...

dont have enough SP to get all the skills so you get the important ones 1st...

You just have to live with it i guess...
LOL a gladi don't have enough SP?

You get alot of skills that aren't for your duals all the way to 74. If you don't take them (not that you are gonna need them) you will have more than enough SP for your other skills.

Back to the WS buffs...the buffs doesn't only increase patk and pdef, they also increase crit rate, stun landing rate, bow range, evasion and mp regen.
The buffs for the golem are usefull to since some buffs staks with them making the golem alot stronger.
i assume you read my post on the topic (http://boards.lineage2.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=1123917&an=0&page=1#Post 1123917)
but to sum up the summon buffs are fine as long as you don't buff combo might and shield since it overwrites them and screws you out of a bit of attack speed and hp and i'm sure convincing your WC or PP to throw away mp on old school buffs so you can be "all the dorf you can be" is gonna be well appreciated

spike showed no significant sun increase in my trials and lets be honest there are only 2 types of stun land rate in L2 and that is "you have boss jewels" or "you don't have boss jewels"

sharpen increased crit rate by a tiny amount but it can be buffed on golem where any crit increase is pretty good but it boggles my mind why NC didn't add the crit increase to spike instead where it is actually needed and once again forces us to use any weapon other than a blunt for more dps

embroid is a huge boost for mp regen and tbh it's the kinda buff we should have had in C1 except it should work for heavy armour and BH should also have it

restring increases range but my trials show the extra range nerfs damage so i'm still not sure how the archer range damage thing will play out or if anyone will actually want us to buff the thing

back onto the SP debate
it used to be that WS was one of the worst classes in game for SP since even though we had very few skills we needed every single one of them and yes considering some of the light armour bonii you can even argue we need LA masteries too

with the multitude of silent nerfs we have received though we are starting to be a pretty good SP class, currently a new WS can skip all siege golems, big boom, all pole skills and if you don't pvp (lol) you can skip all blunt skills except stun since a sword, a NG blunt and fatal strike is all you will need. a few weeks after gracia goes live the vitality system should have created enough crafter alts that we can even start skipping craft ><
Yes I did read it and I did also test it on the PTS.
Asking a PP to not buff the combo buff on a golem or a EC to don't buff the combo might/shield buff isn't a problem (as long as no one get overbuffed from the WC) and they shouldn't be complaining about it as they didn't have the combo buffs in the 1st place...
wts 540m SP....

anyway, at higher level i cant really see a WS beeing in any SP problems, i learned all skills there were, although pre 76 i had to skip some, but as far as i can remember i could learn all skills at level up after 76.
