I'm pretty excited about the Nightshade getting some functional p.atk. It's always been my favorite thing about playing a PS, and now it should actually be able to help DD in a pinch, which is an unexpected boost considering its defensive utility.
I'm very curious to see what happens with the handful of PS players in the Olympiad. The Nightshade takes some skill in multi-tasking to use effectively, but giving it p.atk while giving the PS a nuke and a newly beefed-up Poison has to open up some options for Oly :P
It really depends on the nature of the boost granted to the Spectral Lord. If you're talking a very significant boost, then I can understand, but the Nightshade could very well shape up to be a much more viable option unless the Spectral Lord finally gets significant HP and pdef/mdef to back up its p.atk. It's hard to argue with the potential of a servitor that not only has a huge HP bar and decent defenses, but can heal its master significantly. The Nightshade is just an excellent support summon that has finally gained the ability to DD.
Giving the Nightshade enough p.atk to make it hurt physically in addition to its debuff/hate ability and sacrifice ability is pretty substantial, and I wouldn't count it out, especially in situations where the PS can't win by opening with a full-on attack.
i'd have to dig around for the post with the spectral lord boost but yeah, it's not nearly as good as the nightshade boost but still pretty hefty. the REAL key will be nightshade self buffed since it now has 2 super useful buffs (and one that isn't so much). But amongst a def boost, hp boost and crit rate boost i'd still say spectral lord. Plus dicing death can 1 hit squishies if you're lucky
The only testing that really matters now-days is testing in Sg. PvP is no longer really a big deal in the lower grades, Ag included. If you really want to test PvP in this game, you need to test it in Sg. The end-game skills largely determine the out-come of battle and until you have access to those skills, you cannot test them.

people PVP way before end game. and more people are not end game then are. so PVP before endgame is just as important ;)
do a level 40 quest at hardins academy and level at Ivory tower to get nebulite orbs which you can infact turn in to recieve cursed bones, at level 56? you get summon cursed bones which you use spirit ore to create your own cursed bones.
