So I was on PTS and jumped on my Palus Knight for a little bit... Summoned my Kookabura bird and went around slaughtering stuff... Well I had forgotten my newbie buffs so it was a little more challenging than normal... I had my birdy sitting back watching just with in exp radius, then all of a sudden... I got healed... I turn around to see someone and there is Jessy (My bird) with the red circle around her... Healing me!
I just wanted to express my happiness in the bird! She may not be able to fly, but that doesn't mean she is worthless! Tanks Best Friend? Kookabura Baby Pet!
yeah... I find it aggravating actually. I'm half-trying to level a cougar on live. In the catas I sit him out in the hall along w/ my hatchling (on the other account.) But does he sit nice and still like the hatchling? Nooooo. He has to run out into the room to heal me if my hp even drops a bit! I have to constantly pop pots even when I don't really need them just so that dumb cat won't run into the room and catch aggro or a stray AOE stun. ><
I love the fact that these pets actually do something, I just wish there was a way to "turn them off" when you want cuz they're so fragile. (And yes, I've tried the stay and cancel action commands...)

yea i had a problem with that till i just put baby pets on nukers, they never die with nukers if your paying the slightest bit of attention.
Improved pets:
Kookaburra
empower 1 bless the soul 1 greater heal
Cougar
Might 1 empower 1 greater heal
Buffalo
Might 1 bless the body 2 greater heal
buffs are basically 1/3 of max power greater heals are basically se powered

It's really easy to make them stop healing.
Position it right behind the wall in the hallway (it has to be very close) or statues with fire in their hand where it has to take more than two or three steps to free itself and come heal you. It won't do it. It will be stuck there.
A couple of chronicles ago they changed it so you would get exp regardless of where the pet was. For a while now it's been back to normal 900 distance or whatever it is.
Take a room where the hallway is in the center and it should get exp no matter where you are in the room.
no the change several chronicles ago was that your share of xP was taken if the pet was there and you weren't. It was a nerf to bigboom powerleveling where you'd boom a bunch of mobs and have the summoner far away so as to not take xp.
Anyhow, since we're talking about baby pets, it sucks that they only take 5% exp now instead of 10%. I deleveled about 50-60 times to keep the pet higher level.
You must be joking saying a baby pet is a best friend for a tanker... try a great wolf and dare to say it again :)
At the moment being someone who is forced to solo... Anything that can heal is my best friend... If it can buff too? Oh heck yeah! But chances are I will work on a wolf and a Baby Pet with a seperate character.
Well i can say, with the wolf 4~6 hiting any mob in your path and with herbs theres no way a low lvl heal/buff can be better, the drawback, it costs a lot.
i havta say i think the buffs thay give are kinda gimp . i dono maybe like as thay lv up thay get better ones or something like that. hate to sound ungreatfull but after lving a pet to 55 i expected a lil more then just 2 low lv buffs :/
