im very impressed with this patch and i dont care what others think but this is very very very good.

Thank you for igniting the love i had for lineage once again :)

:) :) :)
Ya this was amazing, one of the best things that has happened to Lineage 2, much needed.
I made 20% on level 73 and still have my vitality at 200%. Plus my party got 3 drops of A grade common weapons, "nice to have" stuff. Plus at the kamaloka we got A rings and scrolls for practically no effort.

Thanks NC soft. Really!
I'm actually very happy with this update overall. Vitality is a very welcome addition that I think will actually encourage people to play more since they can look forward to seeing more substantial results in leveling if it's been some hours or a couple of days since they last sat down to play, as opposed to thinking that they shouldn't even bother because they can't sit down to play all day.

I'm also absolutely thrilled with Inquisitor stance. I don't care that its skill set isn't as powerful and varied as that of a true nuker (which it shouldn't be); it adds a new way to play my main class, and I am already working out effective ways to transition in and out of the stance to enhance my role in different types of groups. At the very least I can safely say that Inquisitor rocks many demonic and undead monsters, which comprise a significant percentage of the mobs in the game. Also, while the casting time of Divine Punishment is very slightly on the slow side, the complete lack of a reuse delay somewhat compensates for this, as true nukers can't eliminate the reuse delay on their main nukes without external buffs. Tezza helps, but it takes something like Renewal or the Seraphim buff to eliminate the delay between standard nukes.

The new magic crit system is also benefiting this stance, as minimally buffed characters are enjoying a MUCH higher crit rate, which more than compensates for the reduction from 4x damage to 3x, IMO. The damage variance is very annoying for players who rely on monsters reliably dropping in X number of spells, and the mcrit change is a nerf to nukers with top mcrit setups, but otherwise it makes nukes deadlier than before, I think.
No reuse delay has a downside.
If you use automated shots then you need a small delay between casts for the new shot to fire.
If there is no reuse delay and you just press the hotkey for the spell, more often than not the SPS won't fire before cast, thus the cast will be very long although the effect will be with SPS.

My practice with SE Inquisitor confirms that. To cast fast, you need to delay yourself or you'll cast much slower.
Poling seems much, much harder for some reason(I am assuming that's mob SS). Other than that it's been a good patch.
Karik UD is huge lol.
Imo best update sinse C3-->C4 update.
Good job!
So far it's been good. even stop me from quiting but lest see what happens when the catts fill up with bots again. if I can't train them I'm done.

Awwww.....you could always move over to Phoenix and join me outside the catts (I gave up hunting in the catts a long time ago (Get to work Spam)). Oh, and we can still train the bots outside the catts. It seams the mobs will still chase you for a while, and some even seam to have a larger agro range.
Thank you :D

But Seal Stones play an important part in my Income and Leveling.

Bless Pet Rez (I have 11 pets that I level) (lost one last night Chating to much answering Questions about the update and not watching my buffer and seeing the pet begging for food)

Greater Heal pots

Greater swift Attack Pots.

I need all the supplies above and they are a lot cheaper if you farm the seal stones your self.

I will be replacing the lost pet today......that was so noob of me 2 forget the food. you think with 12 pets I would know better :(
lmao.....me and pets don't get along too good. I got a chicken once. Used it in new areas to find out what mobs are argo before I ran in. Poor chicken, I still have it but it's down to lvl 10 now. :p

LOL! Cruel!!!

mine is 47 and his name is ToxicChicken :D

I wanted one name Kamael but looks like it's taken

I do have a level 1 Wolf (BotBait) and Level 1 Hatchling (BabyLove007) that I use to trick bot's into turning purple but they fix that because it don't work anymore. :p

p.s. the names were the names on Lionna I think they diffrent now on Aria I would have dig them out and check.
I really like Vanguard. It is SO much fun on a Temple Knight. I feel really strong now, defensively and offensively. I went from a 416patk low (unbuffed) in normal mode to a 746patk high (buffed, gear change) in vanguard. I was killing monsters in Valley of the Saints in 4 swings while still maintaining 800~900pdef and 800mdef and cubics. I can kill fast and I can AOE (360) now.

(though now I have to invest in damage and tanking gear >_<)
The funniest thing that ppl said would happen was actually happening.Warsmiths buffing ppl,ppl asking for the buffs.
My WS doesn't have the sp for all that stuff, but now I got
a good fun reason to lvl her. Also somebody got pked by a
SE in the new stance and complained they too powerful,
now how funny is that,lol,lol,rofl!!!!
Yes the WS can deal some damage now and the buffs stack.

Good stuff.
Yup and now BH is the worst class of the game.

I still wait for our hug :(
Up to this point I couldn't care less about an update. I would log in as usual as if nothing changed.

But when you first login and kill that first mob and get 3x the exp and sp, it feels great :).

Log out for 6 hours, come back and vitality is back to almost level 2. And it lasts for hours which is also awesome.

I just hope for an event now to make some quick adena. Common items drop a lot but sell for crap.

The one thing that bothers me is that they weigh as much as regular items lol, and if you're not a dwarf and can;t carry 10,00 things, it kinda sucks. But oh well, I still love the new common items.
I was having fun with the fast noob leveling last night. I got a lvl 1 human mystic to 20 and class changed to Cleric in under 4 hours.

There's one thing about the update that seems imbalanced. The fact that healers can nuke anything, and tanks can now be DDs. Might as well give the rest of the DDs a tanking stance, and the nukers a healing stance. If I hadn't already invested so much time into my orc, I'd switch and play a tank class. Why play a class that is melee DD only, when you can play a tank class that can also be melee DD with the click of a button?
...says a Destroyer, lol.
lol well I can't afford super OE'd weapons yet, so as long as there's another DD in my party (they always seem to have OE'd weapons), I'm not the one tanking. Now if I had a tanking stance...
Under four hours? Man, put some effort in! 1-20 takes 30 minutes now ;)
The great thing about the normal drops are if you don't need / want them instead of selling it crush it for crystals.

Can always use crystals and there's a market for them

Under four hours? Man, put some effort in! 1-20 takes 30 minutes now ;)

Wow 30 minutes? I don't think I could break that record. Just running around for the spirit mirror quest took 30 min. The class change quest took about 30 min as well.

Yup and now BH is the worst class of the game.

I still wait for our hug :(

Not true at all (((hugs Mc_kzimir ))) PP is still worst Class then OL your 3rd dear :D

That's a given, but anyone who's practiced playing a mystic class with end-game buffs is familiar with that potential complication (though some players just don't care or realize and try to spam, anyway).

It just takes a little finesse to use effectively is all.
Getting back to the OP, I agree, so far Gracia has been the best patch in years.

*I went from level 52 to 53 on the Kamael almost in the blink of an eye, thanks to vitality. This system is great for those of us who have real life limitations on our play time.

* I activated my dwarf account and was thrilled with the new buffs and summons enhancements. Further, because most of the B grade armors are now available in the Luxury Shop, I was able to clean out 2 WH's worth of crap. It also helps to downsize my recipe book.

* Probably the best part for me, we can now exchange B grade weapons with Mammon, which means that one highly enchanted top B weapon is all I need for my stable of characters through S grade.

*Jewelry augments...I haven't tried yet, but anything that boosts my toons survivability is a positive. I heard that someone got a stun resist on a Black Ore jewelry piece.

These are the kind of improvements that make this game more enjoyable. Keep 'em coming.
I'm happy.

Why?

* Level 31 - 33 in less than an hour in Heine.
* More mats than at a carpet shop.
* Who needs a buffer? (... I still bring her along for the nostalgia)
* I can make any word underlined and L2 to 'ding' whenever someone types it in chat (I'm sure that's good.. isn't it?)
* Kinda related, but new castle owners = active Manor... yey!!!
* I can log off without worrying about 'not getting XP' - thanks to Vitality making up for it!
I am unhappy. Not for the patch, but for the fact that I am 74, got new skills to play with and was able to learn like 2 levels of it because I have no SP (and proper mage weapon)

Other than that it's very nice update.
Yeah its a great update. I love the vitality system, but it always makes me cry when my vit lvl4 goes down to three, could last for years imo :x
Yea the update its awesome. All those new changes with vitality, c grades in shops and other fun stuff. I just sad there were no new territories in this update.

So far it's been good. even stop me from quiting but lest see what happens when the catts fill up with bots again. if I can't train them I'm done.

lol good riddance, your not batman or spiderman, you cant save us, just spam can ^^
i m loving everything about it already :)

gracia2 is the landmass patch, keep upto date with [censored] - their coverage on the gracia patching is awesome information
Yes i heard that. Can you send me a link to this site?
I've just sold a LOT of gear in the past few days by setting up shop outside the main stores. Sold all of my FP sets which I used to buy/trade months ago but couldn't sell recently. I have to admit I'm not too happy about being undercut by the stores, and putting some BH's and WS's out of a job, but at least I've managed to get rid of them now.

I'm now around 50m better off than I was before the update!

[link removed due to inappropriate language] :D

a few more and I may just keep playing for the fans :p

* I can make any word underlined and L2 to 'ding' whenever someone types it in chat (I'm sure that's good.. isn't it?)

It's useful. I put my name in there so whenever anybody needs me, I can respond right away.
My point is that it's an extremely subtle underlining of the word and the 'ding' can not be heard in the heat of battle. I put my name in there and it was said a few times already but I completely missed it because I don't stare at the chat box on my nuker - too busy aiming at the next target.

IMO it would have been a little better if they incorporated it with the command channel system and actually 'popped' the highlighted message on screen just like the command text. Either that or make the 'ding' louder and/or make the highlighted text another colour rather then just underlined
I agree with everyone, this patch is very good.... GOOD JOB NCSOFT!!!!
I think we are ready for some new land mass next patch... :D

Cheers!!
I'm enjoying the exp boost actually, never had a toon in my 4 years of playing 76+ so I wil lfinally get there this year heh.

I haven't reied much of the other content yet, work kicks my playtime into oblivion most days.
not a bad patch, the only thing i would recommend stop with boosting up daggers and add new skills, they are alrdy way overpowered

you said it all basically. underlining is not standing out enough from normal chat, and the ding is inaudible if you're doing anything else than standing still with music and ambiance sound at 0

Thank you :D

Don't suppose you wanted to level me a pet :)

~Also Hello Again~ :)

Stupid patch.. Even managed to get me back.
VERY Good expansion, ty NCSoft for a job well done.

However, I do wish that Vitality could be turned off if we don't want it on. For example, my Bounty Hunter's usefulness is measured by getting as many spoils as possible for each level, so with 300% Vitality I get only 1/3 the spoils per level.

I know, If i delevelled I would fix it. *sigh* Hey, how about making spoils subject to Vitality...300% of the normal spoil rate, too?!?!?

This is a VERY good point. I guess what you could do is invite a high level buffer or something into your party and let them take some of the XP for you.
I already try to slow the exp by having a buffer in party and having my pet out. I'm really just playing tricks on myself tough, since killing myself on a guard is the obvious solution. Still, since I have played for 4 years I am conditioned to cherish my exp like in the old days when it was hard to level.
I'm pretty happy with the updates as well. A few things I'm not so happy about...

The vitality system is great, although the speed it levels up at 77/78 is ridiculously slow. I log off for 12+ hours at a time from lv 2 and it doesn't go up even to lv 3 in that time.

Also, the pole nerf totally sucks. It's a very noticable change and makes poleing far more difficult and nearly impossible for any non-outdoor/field area.

The changes in aggo patterns in dungeons/catas is a huge blow. I wish they hadn't changed the ability to train, makes it that much harder to find an open dungeon/cata room.

The common item drops are pretty nice though. They drop so frequently that crystalizing them gives a decent amount of crystals. Good for gearing out alt toons as well.

And the airship images in the loadup screen are such a tease! I want airships now :)
I LOVE the new vitality!! I also noticed a lot more A and B grade recipes dropping - hope I start to see more S ones too....

Still would like to see some combo buffs on Overlord (just makes perfect sense when everyone else getting them).

im very impressed with this patch and i dont care what others think but this is very very very good.

Thank you for igniting the love i had for lineage once again :)

This has to be the best thing they have done to the game so far, making it 100% more playable. I am not sure how the higher leveling is going but I think it is great as to what they did for the lower leveling. Goes smoother and is less frustrating. I have also had my first outside instance fight and it went well. 4 people involved. Am looking forward to some pvp later on.

Was thinking maybe the players should keep a low profile about this. If it gets around we may end up with too many players...so shhhhhh!

My hat is off to the Lineage 2 people. Good job! I am happy!

Now all they need to do is get a better system to make everyone happy when they have their mergers and they will be all set.

Someone needs to post a good article about CT2 over at mmorpg.com. This patch should get a really good review. Gameplay is 100% different and more importantly...better!

Gratz!
