Summoner Duo

Heya all,

I'd like to have a few hints what's the best idea to duo for a PS/ES. Catas, nuker places, trying to duo RB's? ^^. Just created a fresh toon ;).

As for the game, I know it quite well, used to be Eva's Saint before.
Then you should know you cant duo raidbosses lol.

Good buffer for duo with PS/ES is WC.

As a matter of fact, we could easily duo kamaloka 23 without buffs. :P. But that was not my question, I meant "normal" exping, not raiding.

And apart from that, I forgot to mention, that my old toon (77 EE+), has a low-lvl subclass, that I wanna delete and make it a buffer.

But why do you suggest WC? Isn't PP a better buffer for Summoners - or is VR so uber important? What's more important, VR or resists?

EDIT: CoV is not an argument, coz' we get it ourselves on 78.

Ty for answering.
Yes, VR is good to have. Its the difference between using Shadow (30% xp steal) VS Soulless (10% xp steal).

Resists dont mean much when u get that much patk, and VR will work good for selfhealing the pet.

No VR=exp in spots that drop herbs only.

VR=exp anywhere.

PS. Kamalokas are not raidbosses.
PP ;)
lol, pp better, it can give berserker and in low lvl it have better buffs. you really dont need vr, coz u have a great heal for summon, and now there are vampiric herbs too (summon get your herbs that u pick up).. :)
Thats all good if u really like the spots that drop herbs. Not everyone likes field mobs tho.

I do catacombs mostly on my summoner, or multiple hp mobs.

But sure.. make a PP, then u can always reroll and make a WC later.
Now as for summons, please.

Could you guys tell me what are the summon's most common usages. As for classes, we're ES/PS duo and now with (thanks to you guys for suggestions :P) WC buffpet in the same lvl range.

I'm basically a noob at summoners, tbh, so please gimme some pointers which of the 8 summons to use on what ^^.
You should try to always use the 10% xp pet if you want to lvl fast, for maximum mp efficiency try to alternate which of your pets tank the mob.

If u find that you have to heal too much or go low on mp try using your 30% summons, the PS one has built in VR and the unicorn boxer has mp recharge for the ES.

Whichever of these you choose you should have no trouble to keep a cata/necro room down between the 4/5 of you.

The 90% xp stealer is a really cheap summon, it lasts as long as the other pets (1 hour continous fighting) but only costs 1 d cry in total to summon. Should you ever find yourself low on cash but at a lvl where you could easily duo a room using no shots, this is the perfect pet to summon. For less than 600 adena you can farm seal stones for an hour. For PS this is the Silhouette, and for ES the Unicorn Mirage.

At 56 you will both get your party summons. I would advice you to atleast not use the ES party summon, its use is mostly for mage parties, and your duo/(trio?) is not a mage party, and the patk of the other ES pets is far superior to the party summon. They have however beefed up the nightshade quite good and its a really good pet even for soloing now due to its semi high patk but very high pdef and skills. I would still probably go for the all out offence of the Soulless though.

If u wanna go cheap on cubics, have only the PS do the phantom cubic (solo one, not party cubic), this is by far the best cubic for any summoner as all of its debuff effects help you keep the pet alive easier.

Leveling spots: Given the very high combined patk of your summoners and their pets, try finding spot with multiple hp mobs, at least 3x but if u can 4x and 5x even. Hunting 1x mobs will get annoying real quick as you need to retarget and attack more times per minute than you would on tougher mobs.

Catacombs are great for this, but dont forget the good old spots for this, like GC and Antharas lair. Later on you guys will easily rock any spot in WoA as well and I think you can duo hotsprings from 70 or 72 skill set with ease.

Hmmm long enough post I think.. I'll monitor this thread to see if you guys have any other questions.
