They don't seem to scale correctly. Yesterday, I was getting close to 4X XP on some mobs, but the amounts of adena drops seemed more like 2X. Also, I think SP was scaling at roughly 2X. If the adena amoounts and SP don't scale linearly with XP, I foresee problems with this. (Aside from that, my first impression is - way to go!)

I think Vitality system, only effects EXP/SP. Adena drops are the same as CT1 I think.
The Vit-system is not meant to help you get drops.
Far from it. The Vit-system is to assist casual players and starters to get to the PvP levels they so much seem to need.
This should have been pretty clear from all the threads by now.

Well, if you *think* about it much, you should realize that if you get to say level 70, and you've gotten 1/2 of the adena in drops that a player would have pre-CT2, that might just be a problem. Of course, if the increased drop rates on full items hold, that helps directionally, but we don't know yet if that will hold, and if it will balance out for spending on shots and other consumables.
Except in the Dimension Rift and the Seven Signs Quest dungeons, monsters that are level 75 or below have a chance of using soulshots and spiritshots, as well as skills that defend against long range attacks.
The rewards for the above mentioned monsters has been increased.
Maybe not only they increased XP/SP they give but also increase adena amount they drop. I too noticed a slight increase in adena drop. Ofc, nothing to do with vitality.
But you also used 1/2 in SS, arrows, ports, pots etc.
plus cheap standard items.
You still use the same amount of adena to kill a mob, and the same amount for killing it. so there is no change at all. vitality is seperate.
You're right, so there is that much to say. I think some classes might ultimately miss out on some money due to the Vitality system. On the other hand, if it works out that the high drop rates on common items makes it easier for players to gear up as they level up, then ultimately, this might all work out very well. It will take time to see how this all balances out economically.
I don't think anyone's going to miss out on money with free GK for all lowbies. Remember, no-one walks anymore... I think the first, and last time, I walked any distance was when we had 'real maps'.
I went from Gludin to Giran (I was told to by the quest.. and I had no money!) so I walked... got lost, killed, lost my map and ported back to Dion.. I got lost in EG on the way to giran..... oh man the memories.... Back then you worried where your next Soulshot came from nevermind your next polearm.. All you frikken newbies think you have it hard because you can't get 10000% XP in one buff run.
Yeah, Vit-system means broke level 63 toon crying about how the game is too hard. You know, if NCsoft actually had ppl that played the game work on the updates they might understand the long term problems they are creating with each modification to the system.
