Kama levels....?

So I've done one so far. But I am still at a loss as to how the levels relate to me. Is is +/- like raid boss, or is it any level between 18-23, for example.
23,26,33,36....
Yea, I dont get it, lol. So levels 24-26, 27-33, etc. ?
there is a level restriction so that you can't enter if your level differs from kama level more than 5 (or maybe it's 4? I dont' know exactly)
From what I've heard is +/- 5 levels from the level shown on the NPC, even it stupidly says *at least* =.=
Alright Dudes and Dudettes

I have just completed a level 33-36 Kamaloka and here are some details.

Start: Captain Lucas, Dion
Party: 33 Knight, 33 Warrior
Buffs: Newbie Buffs
Boss: Kaneus - Crimson Hatu Otis
Duration: 20 minutes
Experience: 33 Knight (Vit 4) 1,071,366 Overhit. SP 69,057 - Don't know about Warrior as no SS was taken... DOH!
Drops: EWD, Reinforced Leather Gloves & Boots
Drops: EWD, Gloves of Knowledge
Strategy
None really.. two tanky toons so we just pummeled it. Rarely needed pots for the first 15 minutes, healing cubic and newbie VR kept me alive (I was using hate). Spammed a few Power Strikes, Shield Stuns and the odd Drain Health for effect, but only the Power Strike was effective (hence the overhit!).

After about 15m when he was down to his last few HP he said "I've had it up to here with you! I'll take care of you!" and cast what I believe to be Haste on himself as his attacks did indeed speed up. After that I had to use a few more potions to keep my HP above 75%.

Every so often he does a physical attack, 4 or 5 times in a row, similar to Whirlwind which has an AOE affect - just like normal bears. I'm guessing it was supposed to stun but I can't really say as it never once stunned either me or my gf.

In conclusion, this is a quick, 20m 100% XP giver for anyone who is bored with a friend. He was doing little damage to my +3 brig set but I can imagine he'd hurt a mage a little more. He also took my vit down by 1 from 4 to 3.
who gives the low 20s kamaloka quest?
i have another question! when i did 73 kamaloka the raid spawned some idiotic mobs that just used a stupid but pointelss debuff but when i did kamaloka lvl 53 with my other char the mobs that spawn suicide and did lots of AOE dmg!! any info about this?
* Gludio Castle Town: Bathis (levels 18-31)
* Dion Castle Town: Lucas (levels 28-41)
* Town of Heine: Gosta (levels 38-51)
* Town of Oren: Mouen (levels 48-61)
* Town of Schuttgart: Vishotsky (levels 58-71)
* Rune Township: Mathias (levels 68-78)
Probably minions... I wouldn't worry about them...
Oh you do have to worry about minions. I had a Boss summoning a healer once we started dealing damage and as soon as the healer died, another one spawned, if you didnt have enough people to outdamage the heals, you'd not progress AT ALL!
Another Boss summoned 3 or 4 panthers, like the ones the DA has, and they kept running around attacking anybody the Boss would tell them to, it was like taking turns on tanking, healers, DD, it didnt matter, those cats chased us all.
You gotta prepare your party well if you're trying a level of Kamaloka for the first time. Yes some Bosses are easy, but others are not, might as well be prepared if you're gonna do it.
Btw if you didnt know, you can scroll out of Kamaloka.
I think these bosses are designed to be more like players.

The one I fought today tried to stun me 5 times in a row with an AoE attack, kept switching targets despite me spamming hate (he got the point eventually) and when he was pretty low on HP, he buffed up and started kicking the sheet out of me... well, I say sheet, I mean he made me use UD and a GHP cos I wasn't paying attention.
hey purp for the Dion one, when he does the AOE skills, just run away for a bit, he does it 4/5 times and if you just move out of zone he won't hurt you and it is only like 10 seconds of time so he doesn't really get any hp back.
LVL66 kamaloka. Done it 3 times. Angel mob that uses stun and aoe fear, the fear can be avoided by running out of range when u see the animation. Spawns a minion a few times that most of the time attack the healer, but it dies fast.

I did it with the same group all 3 times. Gladi/BD/WC/bishop and my friend played a tyrant. My gladi is able to keep aggro on him for the most part, coz of the crits and higher dmg output than the rest of the party. Bishop has no problem keeping heals up and regens some odd 23 mp every few seconds (system message for it, not sure why he gets it tho).

Drops:

1st time: 21 BW boot designs
2nd time: 21 BW boot designs, 33 doom glove parts
3rd time: Nothing dropped >.<

Every time we get the same angel mob, so I guess different kamaloka has different type of mobs.

Anyone done the 63 or 73 kamaloka? That can tell me what to expect? I can farm this one easy every day with either just me or add my tyrant friend, but drops seem kinda crap, and i should be able to do the 73 kamaloka soon, but I dont wanna waste my once-a-day-kamaloka thing to fail a raid coz I was missing a key buff or something that I could have had if I was to invite a random player.

Oh, the AOE was never a problem until right at the end when I UD'd. I was actually reading the forums while doing that Ko. =)

Kamaloka regens everybody inside with an X amount of mana. In lv29 it was 6MP, in lv33 it was 11MP. Which is quite nice for any class, especially when you know skills* can land on the boss.

* Skills I tried:
- Stun (Dworf): Landed on Ol ---- (lv29) a couple of times. The minion always was affected, overhitting worked aswell.
- Shield Stun (Human Knight): Landed rarely on Otis (lv33)
- Power Strike (Human Knight): Effective and Overhit als stated by purp, I confirm.
- Frost Flame (Shaman): Landed at good rate on Otis, and it was effective for some duration, because I saw the boss 'bleeding'

QUESTION on Angel Kamaloka boss;
Does it has a Darkness Weakness?
It doesnt have darkness weakness in its info bar. But I'm pretty sure if I could find a Soulbreaker to come with for Dark weapon buff we would kill it faster than 11-12 mins.

So. Still no news on the 73?
i posted on 73
single boss that does slow and decrease attack speed
lower his hp the more minions he spawns
each minion spams para
Dang.. must have missed it. Was it in the CT1 sub forum. I think it got deleted.

What type of mob is it? My gladi has Detect weakness skills, is why im asking. I know at least one of the other kamalokas have a Beast type mob.
I'm doing the level 43 one today with two plainswalkers. I hear he is tricky. How many more party members will we need?
Can level 73 minions be slept/silenced/manaburned?
hey i got a question for kamaloka in gludio well what is the difference if i enter with lvl 23 or lvl 26 ? Raidboss, mobs, EXP,SP? please answer me thx
Each Kamaloka level has a different mob, but that mob is -always- the same every time you do that level of Kam.

The only difference is level/difficulty/mob type.

You can pretty much duo all of the Kamaloka's until 43 with two melee dd's. Was doing two tanks (paladin/sk) and a dwarf for the 46 Kam. Each of them will spawn a minion occasionally except for the bear, and as a previous poster mentioned just move when it starts to stomp.

Unless you have a sleeper, or a LOT of DPS for the 43 Kam don't bother, stupid thing starts spitting out a rediculous amount of healers towards the end. The heal isn't much, but when there are three of them moving around healing it can be a real pain.

The 46 Kamaloka is a cool Serpent looking mob that will occasionally use a Paralyze skill (Soul Containment) so not sure if it can be cleansed off etc. if you have decent unenchanted jewels appropriate to the level you'll be fine. It doesn't really do much in the way of melee damage that the newbie VR can't handle and even if it's AoE spell crits it won't be for more than 1k.

The 53 Kamaloka is simple, just a big devil looking mob that hits hard but was managable with a Prophet as a healer (lol?) but watch out for the buddies he spawns. All they do is pick a target/location, scoot over to it, and blow up. Most of the time the damage is pretty meh, but apparently it can crit, and hit me for 2k+ a couple times. If you see it in time, you can actually all move out of the explosion, just wait til it stops at it's target and then run.

The 56 Kamaloka is a bit tougher and probably requires a well balanced group. It's a dagger type mob that summons Panthers like a DA has that are basically invincible, and he will randomly pick a target for them all to attack. You basically just have to be paying attention and kite the things around as you fight the boss. Haven't tried any alternate strategy for this one but I found it to be not worth the effort for the groups I normally have.

Haven't done anything past that, but they are not classified as Raid Bosses, just mobs with a crapload of HP and some neat skills/AI. The drops are fairly negligible at best, some times you don't even get any drops at all. At 55 I made 11% xp for the 53 Kam with level 4 Vitality, so not bad, may consider doing a Kam then going out and grinding, but to each their own.
oh is there any way to check how much time does it need to re-enter the kamaloka? like this /invite

ah nevermind i found it /instancezone
the healer minions for the lvl 43 raid Crit heal as well, I did him with 3 toons 2 melle and a nuker (to keep the minions down) I was successful with 2 mins to spare he didnt give nothijng special though.

But yeah the healer miniosn usally only heal for alittle bit but they can crit heal, the first time I tried him on the pts I got him down to 1/4 heal left and he drew out 2 minions withint 2 mins he was back at full health and that was with me sending my summon after the minions knocking them out.
i did the lvl 63 kamaola, he spawns a minion every so often that u have to kill quickly or else it will regen his health back to full... gets pretty annoying but manageable. Drops so far are Key B-grade mats and enchant armor: a
So far from 66 kamaloka:

1st: 21 bw boot parts
2nd: 21 bw boot parts, 33 doom glove parts
3rd: nothing >.<
4th: 23 doom glove parts, 133 doom boot parts, enchant armor A
Well I have the levels and a few people willing to start giving the 63+ Kams a shot, any advice? I still haven't anything to be super hard, just a couple of really group balance dependent Kams.
With the lvl 43 Kamaloka boss with the healing minions I was able to kill him in a party of 4, just happened that we had a Necro in party who was able to keep them silenced.
Killing them seemed to be a bad option for our party because they just respawned so fast towards the end.
AOE silence from an overlord perhaps?
Did it with EE/BH/Warlock and it was pretty close but we beat it. On EE I kept divine curse/surrender to holy on the boss so heals wouldn't do much and our DDs hit harder with HW.

We just kept the minions slept with WL/EE sleep, worked pretty well but we ran low on MP towards the end, dropped some boot mats then^^
how much adena does it drop (refering to the 20-40ish ones)?

if it drops any at all that is.
The 4 times I've done kamaloka it has never ever dropped adena. Only items/parts.
well **** :/
133 doom boot parts is still adena at the npc tho.
how much adena? lol
46 kama was a joke. Didn't drop anything. 13% xp with 0 vit at level 47 in a 3 man group. Make better xp/drops grinding normal mobs.
Kamaloka Bosses never dropped adena as far as i know and i dont think they do.
Nope, no adena whatsoever, be prepared to potentially lose money by doing some of them, especially the smaller the party you have. They are strictly xp caches with an occasional half hearted drop to placate people :p
eewww, rich people toys then
Yeah this isn't someplace people who don't spam SS/BSpS are going. Unless they have a full party of six (max party size for Kam) it's not going to die in the thirty minute time limit.

My Kamael could easily go through 2.5k SS in a single Kamaloka, and my DE was dropping about 1500-2k all in the 20-40 ranges. Granted that these numbers were in a duo, the more dps you have the better, but you get the picture.
yeah, forget that then :P
Did 4 more kamalokas today, 66 twice and 56 and 63.

I'd say the 63 was the toughest (the one with the panthers IIRC), but doable with most dd's in heavy armor.

The 56, with the minion that heals was too easy, that minion went down in a few seconds every time.

From 4 kamalokas in total we got: bw boots full drop, doom boots full drop, avadon gaiters full drop, 45 bw tunic parts, doom boot parts, bw boot parts.

Was a very nice day for kamaloka :)
Think you may have the 56 and 63 confused there Smit, pretty sure it's the 56 Kama that has the panthers :p
Oh.. ya I might have those confused lol. We tried to do as many as possible. Lots of toons and switching armors around lol.
lvl 53 done with destro 55 and sws57 with newbie buffs, and WC 56 buffs in addition. done in less than 15 minutes.
drops:
1st time : 5 great pata blades / 1 EWB
2nd : 1 great pata blade / 1 greta pata / 1 EAA
3rd : 1 great pata blade
Is there a way I can defeat the lvl 36 eye with a 39/39 Rogue/EO? Seems kinda hard with the dd magic and him summoning pets..

Any tips?
lvl 23 rb is different from a lvl 26 raidboss right? i mean how they look but i remember i was lvl 23 and there were two others guys which i dont know what lvl they were but we went to lvl 26 raidboss i guess but i thought we went to lvl 23rb and i said to myself aha is the same monster, but today i saw a picture of a lvl 23 raidboss so how could i enter to kamaloka lvl 26 , maybe because of other two guys who were 26 perhaps?
Did the lvl 63 kama with two warsmiths and a Phantom Summoner. Everyone buffed eachother inside (nightshade and golem buffs). It was close at times, but the boss went down without too much trouble. Nightshade healed while the dorfs and golems did their thing. Was not too difficult I thought.

Good jewelry is all you need for 36 kama and kill the minions the moment they spawn

Can level 73 minions be slept/silenced/manaburned?

Have not tried to sleep/silence them yet (we were in there with a SE as healer), but when I tried to attack one, the game told me "attack blocked" - so I guess you cannot affect the minions at all. Also, the longer you take killing the boss, the more minions he spawns. They use all kinds of weird debuffs (wind shackle, bleed, ...) in addition to the 2-3 second para effect. When we tried it with destro/bd/wc, we killed the boss in 5 minutes and it was a very clean try - no problems at all. When we tried it with se/bd/bd, it took us far longer and in the end the minions got a bit annoying because you CONSTANTLY had some kind of debuff on you and you got para'd practically every ten seconds. We never had any real problem though (healer was on full mp all the time), it just was ... annoying. Drops were phoenix jewelry parts, ewa.
I notice something about Kama but I won't post here don't want 2 see it nerfed but PM me for a tip on what I learned. ;)
The 73 Kama is pretty easy. We take a BD/SwS/Bishop/SE/Gladiator/AW and take a GSAP. With Earth/Hunter/Fury/Fire/VR Dance the boss went down pretty fast and we didn't need that many heals. The minions cast a form of para on you, but it only lasts a few seconds. Both times we've done him he's only dropped Phoenix Jewelry parts (like 100+ of them). At level 77 I go up 0.25% and he takes about 10 minutes.

with that killer group hell any kama would be easy ;) I done all of them except the 73 with just 2 people thou ;)
are kama minions like RB minions with having high attack and very high hp, or are they like normal mobs with normal hp?
A bit tougher than a normal mob, but not by much. The 66 kama minion sometimes dies with hp left even. Dunno why.
Some of the Kama minions you can't do damage to. The 73 Kama minions, for example. A new one spawns about every minute or so and casts debuffs on you, and there isn't much you can do about it. Fortunately they don't attack you. You can't hit them or control them in any way. By the time the boss is dead, there's a bunch of minions all floating around.

The level 56 Kama was a pain, because the minions attack you BUT you can't attack them back. All the minions attack a single person, and they randomly change targets about every 20-30 seconds. Towards the end of the boss, it's all chaos as the person that has minion agro just has to run around in circles while everyone else attacks the boss.
I tried today the level 43 kama with 45 BH and 45 SE and that was not so bad... but of course I didn't win.

What happened is I kept hitting/healing it just fine until it went half life then he started summoning one healer which I killed. Then he spawned another so I gave up on that and started sleeping the healer while still hitting it.

Then it went down to one third of his life and went crazy about spawning healers while I got a message saying I have 10 minutes left... So with one healer only I could have beaten him but that was too many healers to succeed....

Now next time I'll either go with dual swords on my SE or I'll go with my WS and the golem though I'll have to delevel for that I think.

I had fun though, except at the beginning was boring to get him down to half life.
am I just a crappy tank or does the 33 boss switch tank randomly right before he does his skill?
The Bear will randomly pick a target (most often the 'weakest' member) and charge them, and start doing his stomp.

Has absolutely nothing to do with aggro, just like most of the *$#% 20-40 Raid Bosses :p
Tried the one with the bear today with a orc raider and palus knight. I was playing my EO.

It did seem to run for me every time it wanted to do its 1-4 aoe attacks. But if i saw it running towards me I jsut moved away and it just stood there doing aoe attacks hitting noone.

Easily avoidable I'd say.
Oh yes, it's really easy to avoid. Unlike the stupid explodie things in the 53 Kama :p
Tried the level 43 last night, Gladi and Pally, **** healers kept spawning alot near the end. Does that mean all the 40+ kamaloka we cant duo anymore? :(
No, you must have healer! Yay! :)
I've done the 43 a number of times with a Destro SK and SH for the silence. The mini's spawn too quick to sleep and the recycle on sleep isn't fast enough to keep up. Tried with Destro PP and PS, fail...got him to 1/4 hp and couldn't hold the mini's. Was back at full hp in no time at all :(
Overlord with aoe silence is key :)
The 43 boss is easy all you need is a heavy armor dd a wc or ol and a pp or bish. Everyone equip melee weaps and beat boss down untill he pops the first healer. Then have the support classes beat the healer down while melee tanks it. After it starts spawning more than 1 just switch to ol/wc sleeping minons and pp rooting them. It pops 4 healers total so once theyre all spawned sleep/root them and drag the boss to other side of the room. Then just have the ol/wc and pp/bish keep the minions slept and rooted and it goes down smoothly.
