Gecklar's Theory on Vitality

I believe viality disapears based on the rate at which you expel widgets from the mobs around Lineage 2 world. Not all mobs contain widgets, and some mobs contain more than 1 widget. You can not tell which mobs are infected with the widget, as widgets are invisible and misroscopic.

Your vitality is replenished when you go afk in town, or log out by gnomes that secretly alter your DNA, however the alterations disapear when exposed to high lvls of widgetation, which is why vitality decreases when you fight monsters infected with widgets. You cant see the gnomes working because they live underground and only do their expirements on the parts of your toon that are in contact with the ground. They are able to work on logged out toons, as while the toon appears to fade out, they are really slipping into a differnt dimention of the lineage 2 world, in which gnomes are even more powerful.

You may argue all you want, but you all know I am right.
Makes perfect sense. Totally...
You did it.. you figured it all.
Totally owned Spudnik in every possible way.
Though that's not surprising! :)

Well, I wasn't trying to own spudnik at all, I simply came up with a theory as well and posted it.

I'm not sure if you're right, but I certainly can't disprove your theory either. It's as good a theory as any other I've heard.

Although, honestly I couldn't care less about how it works. I don't need the specifics. If I log in and I have a Vitality bar, more XP for me. If I don't, then I'm not out anything. It's not like I'm going to tell my clannies "Sorry, no Sword Singer for you tonight, I have no Vitality".
You will get people like that soon enough.

Shillien forgive them.
pff vitality schmitality, I play as long as I wanna play, if i get bonus exp wooptie doo, if I dont who cares ... it's s game, I dont wanna run optimizations on what will maximize my xp/minute

Same, I play when I get home and feel like playing, and stop when I feel like stopping...sometimes my vitality will be high, sometimes a gnome will be caught sleeping on the job and my viatality wil be low...who cares, I enjoyed the game before vitality, its just a bonus.
well gecklar, it appears i have been bested. well done.

now, who can tell me the secret to the cubic shards?
Go talk to the grocery shop keeper in Giran. I have gotten (forgotr thr colors so) 2 EWD, 1 EWC, and 1 EWB shard so far. Going to sell the shards.
I'm scared... gnomes be altering my character's DNA.... thats not cool...

is that why my human/dark elf hybrid ended up with one wing??? is that it??
I think this is the most logical theory given so far in regards to the vitality system.

^_^
Dude you totally nailed it on the head, made perfect sense!
I'm pretty sure the higher postcount you have on these forums, the harder the gnomes work on your toons.
there's some tests which show that lvls 1(150%), 3(250%), 4(300%) of vitality takes about 35% of all boosted exping time. all other boosted time (around 65%) stands for lvl2(200%) of vitality, the longest and most sufficient vitality level. and time to restore corresponding vitality level reflects this proportion.

Dunno about that, I have been stuck at lvl 2 vitality since the night of release, been logged out for 12-20 hours while I sleep/work/do other things and it has never gone back up.

Going by the typical response they give... I am gonna say no they didn't! poss never helps or reads forums as far as their responses can dictate...

Anyway! Good theory! I need to go slap a Gnome!
Ha! Gnome slapping...that gives a mental image that is difficult to get rid of.

Love the theory. May have to start farming gnomes.

Some of those gnomes trying getting inside my Orcs. A few seconds later, they took off screaming and running for the hills.
As gnomes eat only turnips, your vitality would go back much faster if you logout by the fields north of Gludin then.
but what if its winter?

but what if its winter?

Does it ever change seasons?
Not Widgets, they're Nanites!!!!

Not Widgets, they're Nanites!!!!

They are widgets, build your own theory if you disagree.
you could disprove this theory. if you have a wyvern. nothing would be touching the ground.
I invite anyone with a wyvern to disprove my theory.
everyone should make a "my theory of vitality" thread...
My Theory on Vitality = Geckler's Theory on Vitality for one reason and one reason only.

Gnomes are funny.
