They moved the release of Harry Potter and the half blood prince from this November all the way to July 2009! As a fan I am furious. Daniell radcliff is gonna be like 30 before they are done shooting them. Most have been released in November, now what am I going to do :( Now all I have to look forward to in November is James Bond and Turkey dinner.

That's annoying. I was kind of looking forward to it too.

Well release is different from shooting. They can finish shooting a movie but release it years later if they wanted to.

Ya, they had to delay a few months to give Dumbledore time to finish up a few **** flicks he's working on.

lol no, shooting is wrapped. There waiting because they saw a weekend during the summer where there wouldn't be any competition, at least that's what some people are saying.

It's funny, that ties right into an article I read last week about how next summer there is going to be no "Dark Knight" esque blockbuster..... wonder how many other schedule shuffles we'll see.

shifting it b/c of competition is a non-issue. All of the Harry Potter releases has been monsters in the box office and the series has its fan base that will go see it no matter when it's released. Wether they release it in Nov when every blockbuster is out or in July when there is nothing the movie will make roughly the same amount.

I say its cuz the Harry Potter theme park opens in orlando around the same time :o
