My Soul Breaker is currently lvl 46, I'm really liking it so far. Right now I'm using a Theca set, with a +4 SLS w/ focus (I forget the name of the rapier). When I get to B grade I'm gonna use BW light mainly because I had a BW heavy set allready, just converted the gloves and shoes, and then bought a light armor. I have all the parts to make a dama, just need a recipe for that. As for A grade I had a NM heavy set, and did the same thing, so I now have a NM light set. I'm not sure which to get, a DLE, or a Sirra Blade. I do not have anything S grade yet, and not worried about it right now. What tatoo's would you suggest? Since Kameal's get less healing from pot's and spells should I go for a con tatoo? Also what tatoo is good to increase the nuking power? I haven't done a nuking class yet, so I have no idea. As far as the damacus goes,you might consider buying an AOBA and switching in at mammon on Monday,you can do that now.Or just get a common weapon dama,if you not care about SA.Tattoo's,would suggest dex-con for crits/movement speed,but not much -con,maybe just -3.Can't do anything about your nuking power as a hitter,other then get empower buff and buy some blessed shots.
I personally wouldn't get any tats for your SB. The class is pretty balanced in terms of Str/Dex/Con. The Int/Wit/Men attributes could do with tweaks here and there for changing your play-style though (if you wanted to nuker primarily, you could go +2 Int, +3Wit -5Men for example). However 'luck' would have it that this is impossible, as the class is considered a fighter and can 'not' use Int/Men or Men/Wit tatoos. You can use Wit/Int butI don't think it's a good idea to mess with that.
Incredibly annoying considering there are no similar restrictions on Str/Dex/Con for any class (I'm a caster. I don't need str. Think I'll dump it all in Con...).
Incidentally, if you use Doom Light, -Dex +Str can be nice, but in the end, I just don't think it's worth it. I did borrow a clannies Blue Wolf, but I really didn't like what it did to my Int. Especially since you can't really alter the balance that effectively. I don't give a crap about Men, as long as it's at least 24-25 on a class. Having 30 just seems a bit 'whatever'.
For B grade weapons, if you somehow happen on the Dama recipe for dirt cheap, yes, craft is the way to go. Otherwise, go with the Kesh from the Luxury Shop. A Dama has more p.atk, but Kesh offer better crit score. I can't speak for others, but if the p.atk is within 2 overenchants, I'd pick the weapon that offers more crits.
For armor I'm using Plate Leather set. The +4 STR can't be beat at this level. You can find all of the set pieces in the NPC shop in Giran. I tell you that so that you don't fall victim to the scammers in Giran who are still trying to sell the PL Boots for 10M adena. The NPC shop price is just a few hundred thousand adena.
At A grade I will change to something else, but so far the PL set works just fine at B grade.
Until I reach high A grade, I'm using a PVE dye set. That means +4 STR, +4 DEX and avoiding any mob that shocks/stuns. (Well, except those Hunter Gargoyles in Outlaws. You kill them quickly.)
I, too , am going to try to craft a Sirrah Blade. But only if I find a cheap enough recipe.
I was personally fond of the -dex+str setup on my female kam on the PTS at 55+
They have enough dex as it is, the extra melee damage will help balance out the Rapiers odd bottom-top damage range a little.
Again though, was just my personal preference. Same setup I used to have on my SR since they are so **** squishy as it is, didn't feel like knocking off more HP :P
