I don't know what you guys are doing over there but this is dumb. I'm trying to do the instance here. Two times now I get disconnected in the middle of it!
how would i know which ports are needed? if you want to be helpful than maybe you could tell me please? i've been dropped two more times since i've posted this.
Dropping a connection could be alot of different things....
The first thing to look at is a firewall issue, do you have to needed ports opened and or forwarded to the computer your using?
Actually, Splatty, lots and lots of people are experiencing lag and disconnections right now in game. I'm one of them and I was in Dion earlier, and everyone was complaining about the lag.
So might be a server thing, I think Euros are suffering more from this (on non-euro servers), but I know some American clannies are too.
I get DC a lot if there are thunderstorms in my area. There are lots of potential causes that are not NCSoft's fault. After all, NCSoft's wants to keep you connected, not DCed.
it happens after every patch/update/merger or wen eva nc decide to mess with the system... be patient, they are not gods or supermen/women... it will be fixed in due time just like it always is...
At my job we've been having disconnects like this too due to something in the area. We've been monitoring http://www.internetpulse.net/ about it so far.

Try getting a better connection to the internets. Ive had 2/3 clients for a week. Two is sell shops, 1 XP, instances and also in sell shop.
Yesterday our clan had multiple disconnections and many had to restart over and over again. It was one group of people playing from Greece (all were in their homes and not at netcafes) and the East Coast (Canada and USA). They happened in harmony each time. One by one they would disconnect in order and have to relog in.
I just tell you this so you know you're not alone. Yesterday was stupid how many times this happened to them.

Not entirely true... they just want to keep you SUBSCRIBED.
that's what they like on bots.. are subscribed and do not comply :))) btw.. for me like 5 times happen that one of my two clients (connected from same computer) got DCed.. other time it freezed for like minute and then become playable again.
Well, no problem here for the past two weeks, and friends on other servers as well. (range from East Coast, West Coast and I am smack in the middle of The States) But keep in mind that each ISP go through different routers and sometimes two ppl in the same area can be goign through two totally different route to get to the server.
I was having the same problem. Google Comcast disconnects, they are doing it on purpose if THEY think you are using to much bw. They put out a new company sop that states they reserve the right to do so.
If there is one company in the world that needs to burn in hell it is that one. I actually tried to sign up for the barney high speed connection, when the tech came to install it he said I shouldn't bother because the line outside won't give me more than the normal speed. Gratz to him for not supporting the ****'s he works for.
And never worry about it because it sucks. It's the most expensive cable company I've seen and offers nothing good.
RCN is 100x better, but 100x worse support lol aka none. For the same price as basic comcast service, I get free on demand, all free premium channels except hbo and 2x faster high speed internet that's always on. With comcast the stupid thing used to freeze in the winter a lot.
What is strange for me is how I can 3box and have only one client disconnect and the other two are fine. It happens quite often. I doubt it's an issue on my side. It doesn't make sense.
it's not your own personal internet when it happens to half your clan at the same time (as in within a 2-3 second window) and they live spread out all over UE/NA
