Hi, unfortunately I still don't have the level to proove it myself, but I'd like to know something: If anchor is really a debuff, would Soul Cleanse take it away?
I don't know as when your anchored you can't do anything. so i think it would just basically work on debuffs that still allows you to use skills which cuts out
silence, shield slam, anchor, stun, petrify, anything that doesn't allowyou to use skills
so overrall if your anchored by a necro, say goodnight.
Yes, but does Soul Cleanse allow you to cleanse SOMEONE ELSE in your party? I haven't had the opportunity to play around with it cause my Soul Breaker's been inactive for like 2 monhts now, but if it allows you to use it on another person, then you could in theory remove the anchor from that person.
That's what I was thinking of testing, because it's pretty obvious to me that if you yourself are anchored, you can't really do anything so... it's even useless to ask :)
it removes up to 3 debuffs from a kamael target can be yourself only if you can cast like knight says so yea that necro thats bugging you can just be taken out by 2 kamael or failing that he cant anchor you unless you flag so if he flags first stand next to him take his weapon and the anchor wont land then proceed to kick his [censored]
also painkiller should make you debuff immune anyway for long enough to seriously mess up a mage if its standard invincible thingy
Thanks for your opinions... Soul Cleanse works on other kamaels too as part of the Gracia update. That's right if you're anchored you can't do a thing but hope your CP and HP doesn't end too quick (which happens because of kamael low con). A party of 2 SB's will definetely mess up mages as Nathaniel said, and if the necro anchors 1 and silences the other (if silence lands AND if the other kamael didn't silence the necro first) there's still plenty of time for 1 kamael to melee kill the other.
My question was kinda dumby, because you can't use soul cleanse on yourself if you ar anchored, but if it's a random normal pvp the necro can't anchor you unless you are flag. But if that happens by the time you get your pink name the necro will probably be already dying. I mylsef had an encounter with one that anchored me, but had to give 9 or 10 shots to kill me.
So the best thing to do if you are suddenly attacked by a necromancer is to recover some CP, use painkiller/rush combo and spam Triple Thrust and Shining Edge and your oponent won't have time to anchor you, and if he does, probably your 15 secs of invincible state would make it fail. So that = Necro goes down.
BTW, can a SE heal paralizys with purify? (I've tested some times with purify 2 and nothing happened)
About the no one reading male kamael threads... it's sad but it's right, there are more comments on female kamael posts and on male kamael posts berserker seems to be more popular. I really like playing a SoulBreaker and think it could be a very dangerous char against any class if played correctly (even though it's more like an assitance class).
I've seen a lot more of SB's since the Gracia update, that was to be expected since they gave us a boost (we really needed).
If I compare the lethalness of kamael classes, ofc soulbreaker is the less damaging one, I'd put Berserker then arbalester and SB at last, but played correctly, taking into account a good set of debuffs, a SB can be far more deadly than any of his race partners.
And about the purify. It can heal mob paralysis, yes. It would depend on the para level AND the purify level. It's kinda like the Cure poison thing. I don't think it can heal anchor, though, but I have never really tried.

must be a poor necro, i remeber on PTS i was level 49 necro and i was being chased by a level 56 necro and a 62 soulbreaker.
I knew i couldn't outrun them so after letting the soulbreaker get ahead of the other necro, i gloomed and feared the soul breaker then i took a hit to get to the other necro and i quickly gloomed-silenced him, then i mass slowed him and took him out quickly, then the soulbreaker came back, and i anchored him, and took him out as well, and everyone watching was like dang, pwned by a c grader.
Necros are still hard opponents (the hardest between mage classes imo) but still reaction is the key. Seems you reacted well against those 2 opps, and they didnt. The 62 SB could have beaten you in a sec but he didn't and that's cool ^^.
yea normally they kicked my butt cause i just played a necro for the first time and didn't know how to work with it well, and after nearly delvling, i finally learned how to play smart with one and started doing 2v1 and 3v1 and 4v1,
but I hate it when a SPS pops near me unexpectingly because they auraflare you dead in 3 seconds with transfer pain one, God knows how fast it would had been without transfer pain
