u are going to use it as a box. i am posting this for new players who come an research what type of toon they want to play. If you are playing a buffer live! big difference than box i would pick the war cryer.
dont be like a few of us who played this class live for so long an wait wait wait for something fun to come our way.
What is wrong with PP ? I duo with my friend dagger and we do just fine. I went with dual sword/heavy armor and its pretty fun, I really do not care if WC or whatever have better buff... :cool:
What Am I missing ? I'm having a blast playing my PP :cool: I'm in B Grade, does it get worst as you get A, then S grade ? What is the issue with PP ?
But ppl that level higher (in Levi's case alot higher), get frustrated when everyone gets new flashy skills and they dont.
Let's face it, prophet is a good buffer for a small party of 4-5, and you can fool around and hit mobs with the rest of the guys in the early lvl's. But after a while you will probably get bored of the playstyle and either reroll or start using your old main as a boxed buffer.
A warcryer on the other hand can do just about everything the prophet can, but slightly better, and is more usefull to parties at higher lvl's.

to be honest i do have fun but if you are end game u will not be including in manythings from xpparties to raids ect that is a big problem for most of us at 76+i was a very active player for all 4 years from beta to now with the recent update an mergers i decided to go semi retired until something new comes in for are class i have been 80 for the last 3 updates are skills stopped at 79 an the skills we have at those lvls are worthless even the block ww an block sheild have no meaning in pvp with the combo buffs. it just seems to get worse an worse for our class this is y i am letting future players know this before they waste there time as i have lvling a class that is just being overlooked time an time again

At lower lvls, they are ok. But once you hit S grade (where WC and PP have the same offensive buffs + more for the WC), that's when it gets sucky for the PP.
Unless you only wanna stay and play in a big happy family style clan and pve with friends, and not look forward about the other fun stuff in L2 besides PvE; then.... keep playing the PP.
If you might wanna be ambitious and join the politics (which is what L2 is all about, as mentioned in their feature), try to reach the top, be powerful and rich etc... PP won't be the class. Because what a PP can do in end game, I don't even need to use all my 5 fingers to count them......
dont make it look like WC is so much more fun to play live...
Maybe the WC is not that much more fun considering the pure playstyle, but you are far more wanted as a high lvl doomcryer than as a high lvl hierophant. So if you are not in a "friendly family-style" clan where everybody gets invited to all parties but instead in a clan/alliance which regularly does the big raid bosses, lots of sieges and pvp, you will very often hear "nah, we'd rather have the doomcryer in this party" - and even IF you manage to get a party, you'll probably often hear "this would be so much easier if we had cov/magnus/protection/..."
It is simply not fun to lvl up to 80+, only to find out that you are considered "second rate" at the only thing your class can do.
I'm just getting tired of all these pp threads, with the same people saying the same stuff over and over again... this update your class may be gimp, next update it will be the new fotm...
I liked my class (WC) better when we were gimp buffers, but able to tank a bit and be a reasonable DD (back in prelude/C1/C2). its a shame I got changed into a pure buffer...
Dont tell me I can still DD, because its really pathetic at high levels.
imo both classes need improvement, my advice atm would be dont play a buffer PP nor WC

And I agree. I think the Prophets should have AT LEAST gotten the inquisitor stance as well. It wasn't fair to them. People can argue that "Oh, you know, you get heavy armor masteries and buff so you can solo...". But I bet they never tried to do that on a prophet to see how painfully slow AND dangerous it is, even with heavy masteries.
PS: And Orc Mystics are hot! I have my male Warcryer and he's yummy :p
well maybe for next update they can give PP and WC something like "battle stance"
should look something like this:
*PP-->battle prophet: adds 100% divine damage to attack
*WC-->Paagrio Soldier: adds 100% fire damage to attack
*heavy armor use required
*blunt weapon adds 150-250 crit rate
skills in this stance
PP: divine crush-->stuns target
Hammer Swing-->aoe attack
surrender to holy-->debuff
WC: Hammer Stomp-->stuns target
Fire Cracker-->target takes heavy fire damage over time when moving, while skill is in effect.
both classes cant use other skills while in this stance
somekinda holy effect around pp's weapon or hands and fire effect around wc's weapon or hands would also be a nice addition when in stance :P.

I have and hell my SE in light with out inquisitor can solo better then a PP in Heavy. Get me a Great Wolf and it's like heaven. yes the Wolf is more powerful with PP buffs then SE buffs but with GSAP the one with the SE will live long enough to tell about it. Without VR and Greater Heals just = a dead wolf with a PP at higher lvls.
Try to solo Witches with a 60+ PP and 60+ Great wolf then try it with 60+ SE and 60+ Great wolf and tell me what's best. I have done it and can tell you SE is better. ;)

I did made one and named it mrHunky. However, still couldn't stand the ugliness and used it to transfer rep points after graduating, then deleted it :p

It looks like NCsoft doesn't even remember the class exists.
I don't know how Koreans are doing with their PPs, but on NA servers PPs quit the game when they hit like B-Grade. So frankly it's more than time to have a PP priviledged update :/
Well... how I interpreted what DorkAvenger said is that ONLY the prophets get to party :p (not sure whether that's the case for the poster) So in that case, all others are not invited to the party including you smittie </3 :D

Used to be one thing we were good at... Olympiad. So they took that away from us too.
As for your battle stance. PP can't wear heavy or we can't buff a full party so we are unwanted again.
Well... We "can" wear heavy, but then we can only carry a total of ~3k shots (includes ss+bsps) and 2 weapons (1 mage and 1 melee); then basically nothing else as you'll be overweight :s
So... just simply not worthwhile wearing heavy lol
i remember back on c3/c4 that i had my BOP and over 500 pvp + 80+pk !! it was fun to play it back then, now it sucks :( no one wants to party you anymore on big/importan event like a raid, i think you can get party only in ramdon nukers party because of acumen+zerk
As much as i love to play my main..i can't help but wish they will add another main/sub transfer in the future. Seems it would be better getting a cardinal past 80 than hiero. PP may get CoP at 83 which kinda helps...but grinding through arguably skill-less levels 79,80,81,82 without getting anything seems masochistic. Could level up a WC alt for cop in the same time...
So far im 64, Just completed the Paliaka with ease, it take special people to play a PP up and use it for anything other than a box. You can kit them out to do pretty well anything with all 3 armor types, every buff but that could be wanted with the exception of vamp and emp, but the added mana steal to counter vamp by using heals ;) i love it !
If you get into a clan that wants to grow and be one of the big clans your place will be there ive never been told no you cant go your a dirty PP i feel bad for those in clans where they would get told this. We go on raids where we would have been happy with 2 partys but we take 3 or 4 because so many people want to go; inclusion is never a bad thing ^^

If it's not currently a big pvp clan, then yea... But if CoV is getting the nerf that it deserves; I'll start laughing and say to my x-clan, 'Haha suckers :p Happy boxing and hf with all ur wc :D'
Live buffers are a rare thing and always in demand, no matter if pp or se or wc or ol.

I'm sure a live pp would be welcome anywhere in the game (although as was said earlier, maybe with the exception of some of the large pure pvp style clans during certain events).
Those who play a pp and enjoy the buffer styles dont be put off by the wc. I'd say wc are better for boxing in a party as easier to buff whole party etc, but dont see the big issue there if the pp is live..! Especially if cov gets the reuse nerf as mentioned above.

Who knows what they will add to balance, but they are definately taking their time...and I can see why many pp have given up waiting for this as its well overdue. They are a good class though and live buffers really are needed alot more.

Not in end game =.= You already see ppl whining about the cov nerf coz they are not going to able to exp without it. Pof is not even half as good as cov.

Wrong. We are not envy about what wc got, but angry >:| that a hybrid is making us unemployed and unloved =.=
It's like NC is going to give Hate to destroyers (including same knight passives) plus touch of death at 78, but their touch of death is x100000 better than yours. They already have guts which is like UD (except the mdef and restrictions to use it).
My point is simply pof is still a dman awesome buff and I love it.
I guess thats my point - sure WC and other buffers have got stuff and are... well maybe overpowered isnt the word but they have been given much more attention than pp.
Doesnt make pp bad, just neglected.
My point is any live buffer is hawt and pp is still good, and end game buffs are still good.

Atm doesnt seem like cov is nerfed timer, and wc/ol get all the se/pp buffs too. So you have right to be ******, sure. Dont hate your pp toon though is all.

Exactly want I did with my Prophet once I hit B-Grade.
I re-rolled a SH - (yes another nuker) at least I can solo now!
I HIGHLY recommend not to start off with a Prophet for new comers.
