Ok well, I was lookin through the Abyss Walker skills for the millionth time and I noticed that they have Crit Power level 7 and before the gracia update I thought they only had lvl 6, Like the Treasure Hunter.
Did this recently change or am I just going insane?
And the Abyss Walkers terrible HP pool means I smash them in 2-3 shots with Wind Vortex + Slug. Better hope you 1 shot me, because your 5k HP/CP total in the mid-late 70's just won't cut it against high damage nukers.
At 78 I have like 8k cp/hp on my GH. Being a dagger is not about survivability but to dish most dmg and die/run away. And TH with his skills missing all the time and with the lowest dmg from all daggers just sux as killer compared to AW/PW.
Moreover, any dagger charging u from range 900 on an open field is an idiot. Hiding behind the rock and waiting for nukers to shorten their range between u is what dagger should do. Otherwise he should reroll.
no they teleport to behind you to get in a quick backstab
also I've killed PW's I've killed AW's who seemed harder than PW's, but TH's are another story, they can take ahit and they can dish it out to, + at endgame, bluff, lethal strike, +backstab is basically GG

The stupid in this post is epic....
Tell all the wartags that I've run up on and smashed that they should have found a rock to hide behind...
Humans have 40 base CON DE has 32....that's more than 1000 HP difference at 78. They can go -8 Con from tats and have the same health as you have with -0.
Their skills don't miss all the time...Considering they have BOTH crit chance AND crit power, with only ONE LESS STR than you, they have an advantage on damage, too.
GL finding a rock to hide behind during a siege or open oly. Better yet, just shut up and continue being an easy 3 shot for me.
TH at x con != AW at x con. Get your facts straight ^^;
Base HP/CP at 78:
AW: 3240.34 1296.13*
TH: 2730.26 1092.10*
Basically HP/CP is calculated by multiplying this base value with the con modifier. The con modifier is universal for all classes, hence an AW with same con as a TH will have more HP/CP.
Then again I'm really happy with my adventurer, in the end it comes down to preferrence.
If I was to make a dagger today I'd either take TH or PW, AW doesn't appeal me that much but well, all are good.
*(The CP value IS WRONG as of the update that boosted dagger CP, but since both got boosted equally that doesn't matter in this direct comparison)
hence an AW with same con as a TH will have more HP/CP.
AW can never has as much CON as a TH with base con.
even with + con tats the most he can get is +5 which is still only 37 CON (Add Doom Heavy and still only 40 CON) TH base CON is 43.
and getting that +5 con means -5 on something and if you take from dex that = bad attack speed and TH already has more attack speed with just 30 Dex and AW DEX is 34. take it from STR and you still Gimp the AW.
TH flat out is > AW or PW
I would made a TH but I'm not fan of Humans look but I don't mind Subing one ;)

That's what I was referring to.
Besides that you can't say TH > PW/AW since focus death is hax compared to focus power/chance. True it nerfs crit rate some but that is marginal at the best. The +60% stab land rate and +90% crt dmg more than make up for that.
But THs got mirage at 79 which is very very good, so that shifts powers again. Since gracia the PW/AW 79 skills have been boosted though and PWs got a really good evasion counter skill from what I gathered.
Basically if you don't plan to get to 78 then TH hands down, if you plan to go end-game then I'd personally take a PW but in the end all daggers are pretty much [censored] nowadays.

Yes true, but the point was that you cannot just compare the CON stats. Same CON value on AW will give more HP than on a TH.
78 AW with +4 CON (36 CON) has more cp/hp than a 78 TH with -4 CON (39 CON), even though the TH has a higher CON value. Yes, the TH can then put those +4 into DEX, while the AW will have to reduce something, maybe STR. Then they will end up at same DEX value, with a bit more STR on the TH and a bit more hp/cp on the AW. The difference is not all that big in the end.
Abyss walker with Plated leather set (enchanted high) dagger with crit damage (enchanted as much as possible) with a lucky str increase or p attack increas augment and a few good crit n crit damage buffs, if u like throw in a +4str -2 con -2 dex, crit wound +hex and ur looking at about 12k damage to a mage with a backstab and about 6-8k damage on a tank, buff up for evasion, stun ressit and a few elemental resist buffs and bam u got urself a nasty peice of carnage.
and if i remmber correctly, backstab ignores CP completely

I can't possibly be the only one that sees all the fail in this, right?

All i see from this post is that. this games balance is still as screwed up as ever. Defense doesnt even out Having More HP, in the end its whoever has the most HP and CP who wins out, i don't like human chars, but in the end if the human has a crapload More HP and only a few hundred points of less damage, the human will win, regardless of the lesser STR. But i am a novice especially in regards to Daggers.
79lvl GHs with Counterattack have an advantage over THs.
10secs of reflect dmg from Melee Skills is hax.
Plus that they do more dmg and they don't miss on skills.

The only fail ive ever seen with this is the fail of people who try to run, then u backstab them and they are on the ground crying hax.... dont knock it till u try it, sometimes the little bonuses are better than the better grade items.
