Gladiator A grade question

Sorry I know there must have been posts like this before but the search didn't show them =(.

Should I get Tallum heavy or Maj heavy for A grade? I think Tallum is better cause it increase atack speed. But then the stun resistance for Maj is nice in PvP and the increased P.DEF on it is nice too.
So then it seems Tallum is for grinding and Maj is for PvP? Am I correct?
All I know is that Tallum is fugly, and Majestic is wtfhawt. Not the most helpful response, but I guess I'm vain like that :]
You are right. however a true Glad Wears Tallum heavy (http://home.comcast.net/~ashleymivida/Glad.jpg) on both PVE and PVP for the simple fact that in most 1 on 1 fights the person the Glad is killing won't live long enough for Maj heavy to make a difference. ;)
I have tried both and I cant really say whats the best.
When I had Maj I got stuned less ofcourse and that might have turned the tide of the battle, but the extra speed from the tallum with Haste SA on the duals makes you go to very good speed. and the more you can use TSS the more likely you are to win.

Dont know if any of this helps but atleast I got a +1 post count ^^

So you think I should go with kesh*kesh for my duals?

That what I use is Kesh*Kesh and I love them Once you hit 64 that's all you want is speed so your skill refresh faster. :D
I LOL at glads in majestic heavy. I go dang at a glad in tallum heavy.
Tallum heavy for sure. Faster attack speed means the sooner you can reuse skills.
Tallum Heavy and Kesh's, 100%.

Look skill reuse doesn't matter one bit on a glad in a 1 vs 1 situation. We have 5 skills that benefit from charges, that with some practice can be cycled in an order to kill just about anyone. Granted this is all 1 vs 1. In that case Majestic is better, more pdef/less dmg from enemies and slightly more pattack.

However that in mind most pvp's aren't 1 vs 1. and most ppl dont' use their skills properly.

PVE (grinding) tallum wins out very slightly over maj in strictly DPS (use l2 calc).

Maj has specific PVE uses at places like hot springs or anywhere that stuns alot.

Strictly speaking an argument could be made for PVP and the tallum set when attack speed comes into terms of skills like warcry and duelist spirit, but the dmg skills don't really benefit. from it.

Ultimately what this boils down to is what do yo want
option 1: Less pdef, faster attack speed, can carry more
option 2: more pdef, slightly more pattack, stun resist
Only you know how you want to play your toon

PS read this, it old but you should find out somethings useful

well l2calc can only be counted for about 60-70% accuracy.

pvp can not be counted on

I'd rather go tallum as you have higher dps, carry more shots, and your skills refresh a whole lot faster which is where all your damage comes from as a burst damage class.

Majestic...I fought characters in majestic with my DA, i expect a hard time to stun them, nope. I stun almost every time, same duration. i only hate it when i fight archers or people who like to range damage in nightmare because i can't root them.

Anyway, as a burst damage class, tallum is the better option becuase you get your skills off faster and you can use them again sooner. This has been tested, equal level glads same jews, +3tallum vs +3 majestic, both +4keshvkesh

the glad in tallum won in every fight, switched the gear around, the other glad who then wore tallum won every fight

tallum=pwns

It's a nice set, but its about 10x more expensive.
stun resist on majestic is overrated x.x

got that right when I can stun a 78+ Glad In Majestic with my lvl 3 bow stun from my PW. ;)
ditto from my TH
Ya, I don't think a lot of people understand how the ++stun resist on Maj works.

I fought classes in Majestic heavy, light and robe, they all still stun easy all the same. boss jew +stun resist buff more
Ya, I know.

Most people seem to think that the +50% to stun resist means "Hey, you now have 50% chance to resist stuns!" when that's faaaar from the truth.

Yep, If yo have let's say... 10% chance to resist stun, and something gives an extra 50% that only means, 50% of 10% meaning 15% or something like that.
You can think of 10% chance to resist stun as a number if it's easier to understand, 220 "stat" for stun resist which translates into those 10%, so 50% extra means 330 new resist sunt... so 15%...
