First off, thanks for reading and hopefully responding. Currently my lvl 66 glad is wearing Tallum Heavy, +4 kesh's and has a +4str/-4con tat. I really don't want to drop my con by 8 points so, my question is, would +5dex/-5con be better for the speed setup or would it really make that much of a difference?
I solo a good bit and party with my clannies when I have the time.
personally i have +4 str -4 con and +2 dex -2 con and then tallum heavy set, really for pve, you dont need to worry about con, i mean, if your going to die, your going to die lol an extra 500 hp wont make the difference. :)
I have +4 dex +4 str / -8 con. Where the negative con comes into play is not in hp, but in being stunned. It gets to be quite annoying at 68+ when pretty much all hunting grounds have mobs that stun. Before that it's no problem.
What I think the OP is asking is whether +5dex/-5con would be better than +4str/-4con. With the DEX you'd get an increase to run speed and an increase to crits, however, skill crits are STR based, not DEX based, so with the STR, you'd get an increase to skill crits, which are better, IMO, especially if you pvp.
You can check what the tats would do for you on l2calc.
doing the +4+4-8 turns you into a glasscannon for PvE hurt like hell but die fairly much easier... yes the extra or less 4 in con makes a great deal of difference, not only for HP but for built in stun resist. I did do the glasscannon on my gladdie but i had close to full buffsupport (SE+PP) almost constantly and in PvE it was rather nice to be honest, didn't have to care about if i got stunned, the SE would keep me healed, i'd always have max p.atk buffs and atk.speed with haste 2 and zerk2 and g.might (fyi for all you 2box haters before you go ranting on my rear end, lol, i didn't box 'em as they weren't my toons :P ). Once i turned 72 and got duelist spirit i removed my dex tattoo in favor for stun resist and extra HP... and i had more benefits alltogether from having duelist spirit without dex tattoo than i've had from dex tattoo and no duelist spirit.
In pvp you dont want +4 dex ontop of the +4 str ever, lol
Listof you are correct, I was considering dropping the +4str in lieu of +5 to dex. I think I will just keep with the STR and forget the dex part as that extra HP is nice in PVE (which I do a lot more than PvP). As far as PvP goes, I will be an easy kill for nukers and archers until I get myself up to Duelist levels.
