Ok, anyone finished this one (kamaloka 56)? If so, how did you deal with the followers? Did u use two sleepers because they kept spawning. When we tried to attack them they lost no hit points? Any ideas?

56 is a straight up "Tank 'N' Spank" with a twist. Everyone needs to watch for their name. When the party member's name is called they need to run in a large circle to "kite" the minions while everyone else continues to work on the boss. How people screw this up is either:
- They suck at L2 and can't run so they get eaten. Seriously, I can kite these minions and continue to heal while playing my Bishop but I have seen dagger player completely incapable of running in a circle. It was an IQ test with a pass/fail grading scheme and they failed.
- When a vital member of the party(tank/healer) needs to run the other members don't account for that. If the tank is running: DPS off unless she/he has tons of aggro built up. If the healer is running: find those HP pots in your inventory.
Some of these Kamalokas are a lot more intricate than many solo L2 players are use to. It forces people to actually do something other than mash the same buttons in same sequence that they have been for 16-50 levels. Sure, these boss fights aren't even in the same Galaxy as WoW raiding when we're talking complexity...but you definitely find out who the mouth breathers are.
Thx. Will give that a try next time. Well stated. The kamas are all simple from 23 to 53. 43 is a pain but not hard. I wonder how hard the 63/66/73 ones are.

56 is super easy, like was said, just watch the white chat and when you see your name, run in circles. It helps to have windwalk buffed :)
Just remember to have some ghp on everybody (and maybe a life elixir or two for super emergencies) for when the healer has to run.
If you still have problems, try to avoid robe users except for the healer, nukers cannot run very fast and sometimes get caught by the minions. Or get a sws in there who keeps song of wind up. My AW was easily able to outrun the minions just with ww.
yea another thing with these kamalokas is they HATE anyone with a summon out and this one actually 1 shotted me on my necromancer through transfer pain level 2 or 3 with that sonic blaster move it has and this was while the tank had full agro on it.(was in demon set mind) Summoners seem to build passive agro up and every boss with a ranged attack seems to fire it off at you once in a while even while focusing melee on the tank

Lvl 63 one has minions that sacrifice themselves to heal the boss, if you dont kill em fast enough.
Lvl 66 one as smittie said, also the minions always seem to have some kind of weekness (like the questmob on BD 3rd CCQ) so if you use the right skill/spell they die faster/instantly.
Didnt try lvl 73 one yet but NaNa said its perma pz in there.
Yes, I was the Bishop named "Rushton". We had a Bishop(me), Shillien Elder, and a Elemental Summoner but we still could not keep up because the Gladiator and Dark Avenger insisted on just standing there being eaten by six panthers.

Sometimes you really wonder if people ARE that learning resistant or if they do it intentionally, just to get a kick out of annoying others...
Anyway, that indeed would be a situation where I'd politely point out the problem twice, maybe even three times - but then it's soe time. If they want to be stupid, let them die. Maybe they get annoyed enough and quit L2, then you'd have done the rest of the server a favour. There is no point in seeing such a kamaloka session through to the bitter end when you can see it coming after only one or two minutes into the raid.

I wish I had your party. Every party I get into figures why heal a tank that is running, he can use GHP"S all day in circle's. So inconclusion I would love to be in your party kitting a boss with my 176 run sp.
So today I did the kama 53 not too bad and I didnt have to soe this one. If this keeps going on i'm buyin BSOE no heal no Tank, cuase I know I can kite bosses and not stand there like a meat shield.
Oh one thing I wanted to know would taking a baby pet in there help. I was thinking about my cubes keeps me healed up pretty good and baby still heal,"at least I hope they still do". So would it be a good idea?
I have used baby pets a few times in lower kamas with no trouble.
Just put it in a corner and make it stay, if and when it decides to come help you it should just get close enuff to cast.
I think they adjusted the pets casting range so it doesnt have to be so close to you that its paw has to reach out and touch you. ;)

Pets always had a decent casting range it didn't get change they just follow you real close if you don't use the stay button.
73 Kamaloka One is Easy. Just need 1 Tank 1 Healer and some DD's and just kill the Boss and completely Ignore the Minions. :D
Heres a tidbit of information take a summoner on this kama, reason: Betray works on the minions so you betray them as they turn and your group will own it in way less time thanks to the extra dd ^^
:O thats nice to know that betray works on those **** minions, I hate that kama because of those things LOL, i perfer the suicide mions of the lvl 53 kama over the non killable Rabid posses panthers of the lvl 56 Kama.
PS if you go in next time see if you can get an ee :P PR FTW on some "learning resitant" members of your party :P
Even with summoner you still need to run in the end for the simple reason that after a while you will have 6 minions, so by the time you betray them all they will have changed of target already...
