Fort Sieging: Party By Turn, or Random ?

How do you setup your parties most of the time for sieging forts ? by Turn, or Random.....& why ?

In my clan alot of people would say By Turn is the fair way to go.
I disagree, I say Random is more fair simply because of the following:

If by Turn, you can easily see when it is your turn to get the next drop, & then you can say:

Lets go kill the Archer Capt. or another capt......knowing there is a good chance for alot of drops.

& of course.....its your turn to get the drops.

Random is more fair in that no matter when you kill the captains....any party member can get the drop.

Just my 2cents.

What do you think ?
I think it's the party leader or command channel leader that desides who you kill and when you kill it.

Also in my clan we give all the epaulets to the clan leader so that the entire clan can benefit from the epaulets.

Also in my clan we give all the epaulets to the clan leader so that the entire clan can benefit from the epaulets.

I was in a clan like that once.....never again....
We did raids, etc....all drops went to clan leader "for the benefit of the whole clan" but it always seemed the only person who ever benefited from this type of setup was just the clan leader.

we members saw nothing. :(
/drop KE in CWH. Simple.

Besides that the amount of KEs that drop when taking the fort is pretty low anyway, given you only take 1 party there (which then consists of 78+ people with crappy drop rate. And if you take more than 1 party there with lol lvl toons then well, drop rate sucks equally bad because it's shared over so many people).

If you wanna farm KEs you're better of sieging your fort later with an alt clan and just kill off the guards with lol lvl toons.
Who pays attention to the way parties are setup for taking fortresses?

I don't think I've been in a party with anyone whos main thought is omg how are we going to share the epaulettes lol. It's all about taking the fortress and the pvp. I don't even pick those things up.

There are people selling 60000+ of them in Giran for 40k each or something. They aren't rare anymore or worth that much.
They still go for 130k-150k on Devianne, good way to make some Adena. We always turn everything in to the party leader and then split it evenly among all the players in the party. No biggy, really fortress farming has become more about fame than Knights apeluette's.
Just make sure you are in a clan which you enjoy the set up of. If I joined one and the first thing they said was the CL gets everything and gives it to only his best buddies then sod that. If I'm using MY time, MY CSS and MY toon, I wanna see some return.

The clan I'm in are good like that, so I'm happy.

By turn, random, keepers.. whatever - just as long as if and when I need help, the clan's there for me I'm good.
It's always been the way I played that if the clan doesn't do anything for me, they shouldn't expect anything in return other than just leveling together if I choose to, or pvp together if I have time.

I hate having to rely on others for stuff though, which is why i 3 box. So I can get the items I need and not wait for a long line of people to get theirs first.

I don't know if its greedy or not, but who cares, it's fair to me.

And I know most clans put their close friends first before other people, even if other people help a lot more than their friends. You just have to recognize and avoid those clans.
My parties are By Turn. Random tends to be uneven at times while By Turn ensures the fairest distribution of loot over the long run.

Whether we're taking or farming doesn't matter. If farming then it all depends on the spawn rate and we go in a circle anyway. If taking, then the party has no say - we'll kill the captains when it's time. In either case, we're moving too fast for someone to count loot.
I'd vote random. Last big one I did was by turn and I got the control card twice, few epaulettes and missed the a grade shirt by 1 - would have preferred to have the possible chance to get that shirt!!

then you was unlucky and had a bad clan leader.

before the merge we sieged lots of forts and took out shirts with the epaulets that we sold to gather adena for a clan hall that we managed to get.

as for the raid loot they get sold and the adena split or goes to the CH or we dice out the loot if there is more than one needing the drop.
