Archmage robe odd question

Okay, so I'm playing an archmage, currently lvl 78, and I've been wondering.... should i get arcana robe set? Now i would say no because then i would be down 15% casting speed, but i would be up 17% m.atk.. and archmages aren't really the hardest hitting nukers if you know what i mean, there's also a -50% casting cancel probability on it so the nukers with faster cast speed would have more trouble breaking my cast... was just wondering what your guys thoughts were, or if i should get it for mass PVP, sieges, etc (I'm VERY active in PVP)

That's up to you, more cast and speed with less defense, or more power, resist, and defense with less cast speed and speed

Get both if you can, if not then use DC robes

Arcana for PvE

DC for PvP

If you can constantly have full buffs (at least powater or dances), then arcana is good for pve and pvp. But if you don't, then DC will be better off (unless you want to get both sets :p).

Hmmmm... Okay then, I'll see if I can get both sets, if not I'll stick with the DC.

With just acumen zerk and PoW... borderline use DC. If you ever get dances on top of that, use the Arcana. Casting speed is great... but it gets to the point where you cast so fast, things like lag (especially spiritshot lag), and stacking come into play. Basically speaking, with full casting buffs, the difference between speeds of DC and Arcana... is realistically nothing... though DC does technically have more..

I use this rule for myself for most cases:
Acumen+zerk = DC always
Acumen+zerk+pow = Usually DC, sometimes Arcana
Acumen+zerk+dances = Usually Arcana, sometimes DC
Acumen+zerk+dances+pow = Arcana always
