i really dont want to sound like a *******, i probably will though, this is my second day playing, and i just want to know, how do i get that gay skirt thing off of my DE fighter
You have to be more specific. What gay skirt thing? Cause you can't change your armor look unless you get, well, another armor.
Be more specific. What are you talking about?
And about getting kicked off... crit errors? disconnecting? Again, be more specific. ALthough for that, you'd be better off posting on the Technical section.
lol, i apoligize, that skirt thing that the dark elves start out with, i change my pants but it leaves it on, its not really a big deal cause i knew it would eventually go away i just kind of wanted to know when, thank you though, and as for getting kicked off, i wouldnt be able to get more specific, it just kicks me off and says you have been disconnected and it happens completely randomly and it happens a few times before i can play steadily again
We were having some server problems yesterday but we found the mouse and killed it.....so were back 2 our normal problems now. Just log on and thanks for playing Lineage 2 - L2 Tech Intern

Every character has a basic piece of clothing, which appears if you put nothing into the top/bottom armor slots. If that's what you're asking about, the answer is you can't remove that (and plays no role whatsoever apart from visual decency).
Other than that, each and every armor item changes your appearance in some way. All male dark elf fighters wearing, for example, plate gaiters look the same on that part of their body.
You can wear any item at any time and your appearance will change accordingly. Note that if you put items of higher grades than your level (for example D grade items at level 12) you will get penalties that reduce your efficiency, like reduced speed.
There is an option to check how you will look with a specific item in the weapon/armor shops. If I remember correctly, you pay 50a and for a few seconds your appearance changes to the item you select.
Since you are a new player, have in mind that good looks shouldn't be high in your priority list. Plus, in later stages of the game, what armor you are going to have mostly boils down to very, very few choices (like 1 or 2).

It's not gay; it's girly. Get the two straight :P
In any case, deal with it or roll something with boobs if you don't like the faerie kilt. That, or take heart in the fact that you will not have to suffer many "skirts" as a DE fighter, especially if you go with a heavy armor setup. You will, however, have to contend with an odd lack of armor plating around the inner thighs, but I trust that you'll get over it.
