so afaik, bison totem still maintains its effect when switched to other weapons.
i havent tried it, cause i dont have the cash to spend on an SA'd item, but were i to inherit a few adenas i am thinking my next weapon purchase should be a weapon with Crit Damage. possibly a Soul Separator? i know many tyrants used bows, but given the range nerf i'd think that was now not so great an option.
what say you oh mighty and wise forums?

i could be wrong but with the tyrant's base DEX, wouldnt a dagger miss, a lot? better to get a 2H sword w/focus.

I can't say what it's like now. But I do know back in the good old days a few tyrants with pole's could xp like crazy.

Blood tornadoes (haste) or some fists with health for bison

yes i know, thanks knight. but i'd like to see how it plays with a haste sword or crit dmg dagger. i THINK it would be pretty good.
however the bow would be the better option, again but limited by the range nerf.

The range nerf isn't that bad, my HE still crits freaking hard even if they are standing in my face.

Pull with a bow, finish with fists. There's no point geting any other melee weapon if you have a passive att.speed boost on fists...

pull with a bow, on a Tyrant? ...
Correct me if I'm wrong here. But doesn't force blaster have the same range?
I would however do raids with a bow

I hunted with a +10 kris with focus, and i hunted with +6 fist blades with haste, i got more from the fist blades.
Remember tryants are burst damage classes which means, majority of damage comes from skills

i obtained a common Soul bow and plan on exping with it tonight. i have no idea how it will perform, i think it will take a bit of skill to get it working smoothly.

No not realy. Even with 60% bison bow you will own mobs.
