ok here goes...im level 57 SK so far and im using a 56 SE and 52WC when i cant find a group. I have 2 Great wolf 1 with good gear thee other is pretty much low equip.
I think i prefer WC so far cause of the 10 click vs 40click buff that i will have to do at 62 when the neebie buff fade. But i sure like the heal, anyway back to topic.
Is there a spot with high HP monster that are not in Catacomb, having 2 wolf if i kill half hp monster im always moving instead of fighting so it reduce exp coming in. I have try Archaich tower with the 6x hp monster but they are still a bit hard when i have try at 55. So far best spot i had found was on Aligator island monster were giving nice exp and they are all over thee island. Workship seems to easy now and Patriot still a bit hard and the stun ...aoe attack of thee monster is a bit of a pain.
Archaich Tower (x6hp) was too hard too many at times when i have try at 55 and they were coming in group of 4 or so was taking too much damage
Im using avadon armor with +4str-5Con (this im thinking of removing cause i think it lower my stun resist)
Would there be some spot where i could hunt that would meet my wish?
There was also question about WC vs SE but i guess that is a personal preference and play style compare to what is better.
But if somebody have use one or thee other and would like to give strong point of them.
or if somebody would have the if only i would have XXXX instead of YYYY i could do that
Careful enough you can go into the first rooms of GC. With this kind of support you have you will be ok. For solo you can try forsaken planes or outlaws forest. Also with so much support (buffs+heals+wolves) you can hunt in the first floor of TOI but be extra careful. I soloed almost all those levels so I cannot give you much more info concerning hunting with this support. Good luck
Did u try devotion? I was xp there since 58 wit only pp 52 buffs + vr2, so u should be able to do 2 rooms with wc and 2 wolves (no stuners in first rooms, all mobs weak p.def;). There are not many places with mobs x3, x4 hp around 55-60 lvl, u can try giants cave and ToI. And dont remove +str dye, just avoid spots with stuners. At 61 u can wear majestic and stun is no longer a problem.
About wc and se: wc has almost everything meele needs (with zerk would be a perfect buffer). For catas se has holy weapon which is nice, and epower helps landing hex and lightning strike. If u can have both of them, use both (se just for those 2 buffs and occasionally greater heal), if not - wc.
I tried SE and WC and I love WC but you just can't Beat the Heals when you get to higher levels. WC just don't cut it. and if you group your SE like I do the Bless the Blood is very nice in sticky situations. Just get the GSAP and your good to go after 63.
And use the macros for Buffs and for healing makes the job less painful.
I moslty only heal when I get low so a good Heal macro is
/target "What ever your main name is"
/greater Heal
/heal
/greater Heal
/heal
/sit
Sometimes I over heal but it's better then not enough and with the sit in the macro you should be good on mp.
i was in the outlaw forest from lvl 50-55 then i moved to Valley of saints the only problem there is if you dont have a decent M def the mobs hurt like crap expecially if they land a freezing flame or a magic crit they can almost 2 shot you, Banish Sereph FTW im currently lvl 63 and soloing in MOS with banish seraph, since they are lvl 80+ mobs the xp is insane and i lethal them 2/3 Shots so the xp is amazing, on the downside MP gets used a little and if u dont got at least A grade armour they start to hurt a little.
alot of people say that this isnt a very good way to lvl but i havent found anything faster even if u stop to get MP (also good to have a SE or EE even for recharge) SK is a hybrid tank and should be played as such :P
There are some rumours around with Banish, the most common i know of is that using things like SOM and giving urself buffs like empower to increase m attack also increases land rate, i have no idea if it works or not but i am having no problems lethaling any angel i come across.
Either way Banish is by far a faster and more effective way to level a tank... better than losing all ur skills and going vangaurd IMO, i dont even use vangaurd anymore it has just become useless, if i was still able to use Hex i would consider using it more.
Catacombs all the way for me from 55. Tallum (or Doom depending on my mood for Shield Defense)+Tallum Haste +2 str/-2con (sometimes +3), 1 Great Wolf (Top gear, with Beast SS and haste potions). SE buffer.
I tend to clear 1-2 rooms although I ALWAYS kill in the corridor just in case. If things get Hairy, I toggle Guard Stance and just heal with the SE. While I like saving Para for PvP in case I get ganked, I might hit any annoying mages that I feel maybe a problem.
This is where the SE is awesome. Empower 3 + Concentration is so useful. Also Lightning Strike actually never fails on white mobs now, ever since I got 'increase paralysis type attacks' on my jewels.
Anyway, for me cata's are just the best if you have a G Wolf. FotD is awesome xp, but keeping both myself and the pet clean (bleeding+poison) and the pet having crappy mdef/pdef, is just annoying. That crap still lands a lot, even in Tallum. Also the vampires will eat your pet very, very quickly on aggro. Never mind having to run around after mobs while dragging along your baggage-train. :)
cata are nice but i mostly did it with my sk with a BD and pp never really need vr cuz mob hit me for [censored] and i did alot of damge and so did the bd we clear about 4 room in the cata and i was using -5 str + 5 con and nm amor so i could clear room very nice
i never used a wolf dont like se much vr nice but with a tanker u dont take much damge anyways will ur shouldnt
so i do pp or wc or both then get a bd friend ur good to go
