Yes, I'm full of the Halloween spirit already, and it's only October 1st! Oh well, it's good to get a head-start on fun holidays. Be sure to pull out your decorations today!

Here's today's 'View', the Blazing Swamps Tree (http://l2vault.ign.com/View.php?view=Features.Detail&id=219), in honor of this month's festivities. Enjoy!

"Blazing Swamps is an eternally dark land lit by rivers of flowing lava. It's an exciting place to hunt, and it's overrun with some creepy inhabitants...like groups of bats and undead Cursed Guardians. The ultimate sight to see, however, is the giant tree which stands as a landmark in the center of the Swamps. Its petrified bark is twisted into a spooky face that spews boiling magma, smoke, and burning embers, fit for any haunted forest or Halloween-themed adventure park.

Regardless of level, xp, or drops, this place is worth a visit for a good look around. It's definately a thrilling environment to take in."

...be sure to check out the full feature (http://l2vault.ign.com/View.php?view=Features.Detail&id=219) to view the screenshot, and take a moment to browse the L2 in the View archives (http://l2vault.ign.com/View.php?view=Features.list&category_select_id=14) if you haven't already. Enjoy!
blazing swamps is still an awesome solo dd / duo box area. the trees wont really help you when youre 70, as theyll be blue but everything else will still be good.

huzzahs for quickly dying aggro trees which are weak to fire and pdef. huzzahs indeed. youve made my tyrant one happy DD.
Why are there mobs in BS which are weak to fire? How do they survive without burning up?

The entirety of blazing swamp is one huge dissapointment piled upon another. The mobs are super generic and have nothing to do with a place that is a pit of lava. I'd like to see nothing but firey mobs that are weak to water to give the place the correct feeling rather than the out of place orcs, bats and trees which currently inhabit it.

And while I am harping on horridly designed areas there is IoP. All I see is a full island of mobs that are resistant to it and drop a single fire stone on average once every two weeks. Why is the entire island full of water resistant mobs when the number of soloable mobs weak to water can be counted on one hand? And it's not like there is a choice of soloable hunting grounds at that level.
i saw the vault story and i got no idea what is that dude talking........

POP QUIZ: Name three mobs that were originally, well, indigenous, to the Blazing Swamps area. EXTRA CREDIT: Where are those mobs located now?

Let the test begin!!!

In the old days blazing was a low fifties zone ... bunch of the mobs that are now in ceme/forsaken plains were there ... tairim, marsh stalkers marsh drakes etc

and some of the mobs that were there and still are had their levels changed ... tulben for example was low fifties and used to drop compo shield/helms and people camped there for days :) Now it's mid sixties
