I've come the conclusion that my xp methods are completely different from anyone else I talk to. I'm more concerned with time than I am with xp, so you can ask me at any point how much xp/hr I'm getting and I'll let you know. I go straight to the high yield areas such as VoS and FoD (3k life for 10k xp). I almost exclusively solo. From 1-61 I had a duo partner and that was great because duo xp is ridiculously good. With an identical class, you are killing twice the mobs but getting 70% xp per instead of 50.
I don't party much but that's mostly due to their availability. If a solid party is running Lair, I'll jump in and usually suffer an xp/hr penalty but playing with people is more interesting than soloing. But I do mainly solo now with outside buffs. I just jump right in and get to it whereas most parties take 8 days to get setup.
So my question is how do YOU xp? Do you party exclusively? Is it better than your solo xp? Do you hate playing alone and need friends? Do you need VIT to convince yourself to grind?
and how do you play 4 characters at the same time? boxed buffers ok, every 20min 1 macro, but BD, Healer and DD? Walker anyone?
Buffs = 1 macro every 20min
Dances/Songs = 1 macro every 10min or so
Heals = 1-9 macros with target macros for the person that needs heal + heal (with 3 quibars open you can have greater heal, major heal, greater battle heal for everyone of the party members) and having a 2nd computer so you just have to hit the shortcuts helps alot.
It takes some time to get the macros setup right and to get used to them...and yes I am talking about the in game macros and not some 3rd party garbage.
3 comps.
Main one has the DD.
2nd comp has the bd, macro to /assist /attack and also a dance macro with /assist /attack at the end
3rd comp, windowed mode with 2 clients, WC and Bishop/EE.
A strong DD rarely needs heals if u have bd, so its not like im constantly clicking on buttons all over the place. I click on a mob, press seed key, press BD's assist macro. Every 2 mins I click the dance macro. It's not that hard.
I've been dual boxing with 2 comps since c2 when I made my SH and SE, but 2 boxing became boring, so I had to step it up to keep it challenging.
Also, I own 6 accounts (too many alts >.<) and I also pay for our vent server. And I still have alot of money left after bills are payed.

Sad that some people pay 4 accounts just to xp, instead of playing with real players.
No need for walker if u can multitask. Your response is the most common from ppl that cant grasp how easy it is though. And I do party with real ppl, but mostly clan members.
The way I play though, I can start xp'ing when I log in, and I never have to look for a party, which takes time. And my clannies are still in party with me, so I see no real harm.
Sure, the untagged random guy might not get party from me, but maybe he can play with other untagged ppl?
i play solo 99% of the time cause i'm a dorf but i usually have 1-4 buffers following me around (1 PC)
i'd prolly go insane if i only played 1 toon and for anyone who questions my or anyone else's ability to box 5 support you really gotta step back and see how stupidly easy it is to play most support
I will have to agree with the boxed comments. She's not high enough yet (and I'm going to go level her after this post) but I just got another account for my own personal SE (For my PW and his sub ironically, as opposed to getting her for all the spellsingers I grinded to A grade....).
It's ridiculously easy. One click to buff and auto follow, end of discussion, every 20 minutes. I wouldn't want to have an assist toon though. Stretching my arm to another keyboard might get old quick. Unless the keyboards are "on top" of each other. (My other pc is a laptop atm, so no go).
I do the worst exp in the game--and it still works just fine.
I log in (1 account total), if no clan/ally folks are doing stuff I can do, I get self buffs, throw a couple pots to run faster and attack faster, summon my panther, and head to nearest site I can find light blue/green mobs solo.
Oh, and I'm a casual player (VERY casual these past 6-7 weeks). So I'm not on much.
I'd rather group. I'd rather be partied. But time has taught me that solo works better than most random pick-up groups so if there aren't allies/clan then I just go solo.
Exp is over-rated. It isn't levels that will help you compete anyway.
Do yourself a favor and level the support toons you need (bh and ws) and leave those afk shops open to buy/sell and use a -20 toon to manor as best you can.
Hitting 76 isn't really your goal. Hitting 700-1 billion adena is your goal.
Otherwise you'll hit 76 and be pisspoor and have crap stuff--at which point you'll figure out that nearly all of the lvl 80 folks you're facing cheat nearly every minute they are logged into the game.
You need ADENA (legit would be nice)--not levels.
Any idiot can level. Not 1 in 100 current players can manufacture 100 million dollars within the legit game mechanics.
i loose lost of time to find a spot at varka where there is no bots (if by chance there is GM reading those lines, Aria server, go to varka and massban those ***** bots).
Then i solo with my boxed WC. No need to be healed, just buffed every 20 minutes ^^
I sometimes be in party at IT, be the most of time i'm soloing (FS aka dorf ftw)
I'm the gimp of the gimps (BH) so parties aren't exactly thrown at me the second I log in. I'd rather party but I usually end up solo. I only have the one account so I don't box anything. We also lost our CH in the server merge so it's buffless soloing. I do pretty well for myself though. I get okay exp and with Vitality & pots dropping all over the place, I don't feel as useless as one might think. When parties are available I'll drop what I'm doing and join in but overall I'm okay soloing. It's a long slow road but I'm making a ton of cash.
after 78 = only solo and it's goint pretty fast with tons of money/drop included for only me. I make only solo parties unless smb. invites me for an uber xp in Pagan's AOE or Hellbound. The rest time = I rock by soloing :)
Well, sometimes I do, but it's when I have nothing to do IRL (usually it happens in hotels on business trips). Then I either solo for good XP, or party with someone for XP they consider good.
