L2Vault Poll of The Week: Lineage II CGI

As some of you know, the Lineage 2 Vault hosts a weekly poll regarding topics of interest or relevance in the game and its community.

We try to cross-post the polls here, for exposure to users who may not regularly visit the L2Vault homepage.
Results have been great lately, with almost twice the number of votes as we've been seeing over the past couple of months - so thank you all for that! :)

This week's poll doesn't speak to the state of the game itself, but rather to the all-important promotion surrounding the game, as we inquire "Would You Like To See A New Lineage II CGI?"

As many are aware, pre-rendered promotional movies used to be par for the course with each new Lineage II update. However, the last CGI offering of any sort that we saw was a very brief (and some have said very anticlimactic) piece designed to launch CT1 - The Kamael.
Granted, these sorts of films can be very, VERY time consuming and costly for the entire team to develop...but I don't think anyone would argue that they aren't just totally frickin' sweet, right!?
There are several other potential arguments against the idea, some of them quite valid. However, advertisement really is all about selling the sizzle, and for such a visually stunning title as L2, I think that nothing sets the stage and draws interest better than a healthy minute-or-so of action-packed and gorgeous CGI,

So with that in mind, go ahead and cruise on over to our poll (located in the right-hand sidebar) (http://l2vault.ign.com) to weigh in on whether YOU think Lineage II would benefit from CGI celebration of the latest chapter, or whether NCSoft should hold off on that for now!

I like to remain optimistic, in hopes that when NCSoft West is up and running at full bore, there will be resources freed up to work on things like this again - either in the West division directly or, more likely, at the NCSoft Korean base camp.

CGI movies may not necessarily have relevance to the gameplay itself, but if they plan on marketing L2 harder in NA (as Omega's Q&A seemed to indicate), I personally think it'd be great.
"Ooooh, neato!" stuff like that gets a lot of eyeballs.
