I really dislike people like yourself. Not everyone can play the market. Not everyone can make a shop on their main account or secondary account and have it sit there 15 hours a day. Some people want to play the game, or dont want to leave the game for that long.
This is ridiculous. Which is it? They don't want to run the game while they aren't playing or are there people out there who have 15 hours a day to devote to playing Lineage 2? Either way, whether you approve of shops or not, it's how l2 works. If you had an auction house, the only difference is you wouldn't need your client running. Obviously, you can't play your main and trade in giran at the same time, so pick.
The only reason anyone can make money by playing the market is that it is a niche way to make money. If 1/10 of the people who claimed to play the market really played the market, they wouldn't have any money of they said they had because "playing the market" doesn't work when a whole bunch of people do it. When that happens, it becomes the -norm-, so stop advocating that economic fallacy.
No it doesn't become the norm. Playing the market can represent any way to use a need in the market to your advantage. For example, buying CBP,Varn and SOP and then crafing VoP for a 30k profit. There are 5 shops doing that right now but that doesn't mean they aren't making money because there is competition. I haven't used the same method to make money two weeks straight since Gracia came out. If you're not bright enough to adapt, don't throw it off as "I had a good idea but people copied it so now I'm stuck." That's where the one step ahead comment comes from. Always have your next economic plan ready.
We don't have a player driven economy. We have a cheater driven economy. Prices are purposefully artificially high on the more populous servers. This is a failure not on the players part but on both the game devs and those who maintain the game by not nipping the problem in the bud before it grew out of hand.
We have a cheater driven game, let alone economy.
Congratulations, you have 1.5b on a dead server. That doesn't do the op any good, nor should you be proud of it. I have 5b on my server and I don't even play anymore.
You're such an idiot. My example is a clear cut demonstration of starting with nothing and then being able to afford your S grade long before 76. Devianne is a lower pop server, but we're talking about the market and last I checked, giran has hundreds of shops. So calling it a "dead server" doesn't give validity to anything you say. If anything, it is harder for me to find what I need and I have less potential buyers. I don't understand the relevance of telling us you have 5b on your inactive account and then turning around to tell me the op doesn't care how much I have. I am demonstrating that you can make that much starting with nothing in little time. You are demonstrating that you're an idiot.
Like the op angrily said, you need money to "play the market". You need large amounts to make it worth your wild also. There are very few ways left for a legit player to make money at the lower level (ie 76 and lower). No, everyone shouldn't be forced t o make a dwarf to make money for their main character. Alt characters are NEVER an acceptable way to make money in an online game. That is POOR game design. It's a horrible time sink and shame on you for suggesting it.
That's worth your "while", not wild. No one is forced to do anything. It just so happens that all the trading is done in one city and that travelling to it is more expensive than having a character permanently stationed there. Alt characters are a great way to make money because they are always in the city, aren't related to your main, and easily replaced. You don't need to keep a bad rep or give friends discounts. Most of all, you don't limit your market by having players from enemy clans not buy your stuff.
Those advocating aa farming are giving good advice if we were playing 2 years ago but farmer enforcers really make that difficult for the average joe.
There really is only 1 way left to make good money while playing the game and that is attribute stone farming. If you aren't high enough level to do this yet, then I'm afraid you are very limited in what you can effectively do to get the money you need.
I didn't really get a good feel for your post until I started replying and then got to the paragraph above and realized what was going on. You are full of excuses. Between blaming "bad game design", "cheaters" and then "high level mat grinding" I can safely conclude that you just don't get it. What's worse is that people might read your post and naively believe that it's true. Queue begging for gear from clanmates and disappointment with the game.
You need money to make money, sure. If I'm investing 100m and getting 200m back, thats more interesting than investing 1m and getting 2m back. But you need to grow to that point. Anybody can find an easy way to make money once they have money. The hard part is getting there.
Take your self defeating attitude elsewhere. I meet players with your mindset all the time. I politely volunteer to give them some tips only to find them crying about this one thing or another. I've only met one player thus far that took my advice and is now making the kind of money I'm talking about. The rest all gave up after one day (if that), quit or turned to gold sellers.
You don't understand what playing the market means. You refuse to acknowledge the possibility that you can make money at low levels (Hello Manor and Kamaloka enchant scrolls!). You fail at money making 101.
you mean to say that you can raise 1.5b adena just by yourself?...... how stupid do you think some people are?
go tell this to the idiots that fight without SS becasue they think they save money.
when you get OE weapons from your clan to help you level and get a good weapon just for you from clan ....you are not called a good player ...you are called a clan's [censored].
yes it's very hard for new people who have only an account to make money for their equipment. It's not imposible but very hard .... so stop with the I raised 1.5 bilion adena just by playing the market. You raised 1.5b adena, if you have, with help from your high level clan mates that spared you some scraps they don't realy need.
