Is there any real point continuing playing Lineage2 on a server which is dying (Bartz)?.
Bots are absolutely everywhere and its almost impossible to find a group. Being in a guild doesnt help, spamming in Giran, Aden and Oren doesnt help.
I mean the whole point of a MMO is interaction am i right?
Im probably going to cancel my account, this isnt an MMO, there is no social interaction really going on..
tetsuoo, come join Peacecore on Sayha - many Aus based players in the clan and we're regularly in groups - we siege, grind, rift, raid and have a ball.
And you know what's strange? Since level 40 or so, I have seen probably 3 or 4 bot groups. Seriously! Level 70+ I don't have a clue at how bad the Sayha bot issue is - I know WoA is a bit overrun, but it's pretty quiet on those terms.

Well.. on Devianne.. in regions between 70 - 76.. It's rare to see a bot. Below that.. and above that.. you see them quite often.
But most clans in Devianne are bot infested.. including mine, unfortunately.. but the only-legit clans.. don't do PVP.. or epics.. so.. I have to live with it.
Because you want to. Because something in you drives you to stick with the game. Because there are decent people out there, it's just a matter of finding them.

Listen, I'm sorry bit I made mention of this in another thread and I'll go into more detail here.
This is not like other mmo's. It just isn't. And quite frankly I was glad of that.
This is not a sit around and chat with whoever happens to be in general chat game.
You have to be in a clan. And if you are saying that being in a clan doesn't help then it is very apparent to me that you approached joining a clan like joining clans (guilds) in other games.
They are not glorified chat rooms here.
And if you find that you are in one but nothing is going on then you are just in the wrong one. There are plenty of clans/alliances out there who are very active. Some might be more active than you would like.
I would actually say that of all the mmo's I've tried this game has the best community and the best social concepts.
But you have to make a real effort. You have to start meeting people in game or on the forums, etc.
There are great people in this game. Also some scummy ones. Though quite frankly, in some ways they make the game more interesting.
I was used to live with the bots (hell, I even stole their drops using manor system and I PKd a lot of them to get my own grounds), but after the GM-skill **** I descided to leave.
BTH, I think it's a shame that one of the best MMORPG's ever made, falls into a bot-heaven in the US/Europe. From what I've heard, in Korea and the rest of Asia, the botting problem is almost non-existant...
Nice to see a player from Australia :) Definiately try to find a clan/ server that got peeps at around Australia timezone (unlike me playing odd hours but normal for US/EU lol)

I agree that lineage 2 is easily one of the best MMOs ever made; it also was a best kept secret from alot of the world.
I reported bots yesterday, 2 who were farming. I got an automated message back from a GM..
Wat would you know. No action taken despite them being in the one area for 19 hours straight?
Giving NCsoft more money for a job they arent doing seems ridiculous
Cause eventually the L2 community will take matters into their own hands and finally come together to fix the crux of the issues that are plagueing the servers. The biggest problem, as I see it, are the farming bots. These are fueling the economy of those that are willing to pay for it. If people would come together to keep the bots from gathering than it would bring down the market prices, make it more difficult for ebayer's to buy expensive equipment, make it more difficult for botter's to bot solo due to the expense of pots and other supplies that you need to do so.
The community as a whole can make this happen. The farming trade is extremely fragile. Even a few bans crumbles the whole operation for weeks leaving buyers penniless awaiting the companies to recover. If the L2 community really, really wanted to clean up their individual server's than they would do so and until THEY take control to create a fair environment for all to enjoy things will continue as they have always. I think, in a small way, the individual leaders of each clan should be the first to organize such an action as representatives of their clan members will surely follow suit to seek out and continuously kill as many as possible until the farming companies find it not worth their while to continue and ultimately pack up and leave.
The only reason why people feel that this is not possible is because they can't see how one person can make a difference and they're absolutely right. One person can't. But many can.
Just remember there are more of us than of them :)

I'll kick the dead horse for you. But find me one MMO that has 99% legit, and sorry ill call you a lair. As long as MMO's are around, and as long as they have been around, theres been cheaters and exploiters. Before I tell you how far I had to walk thru snow to get to school, I'll tell you back in 1997 when I first played Ultima online, there were already 3rd party (and some homemade!) unattending macroing progs (what everyone calls bots now). It won't change, because some people cheat, and theres always gonna be someone trying to cheat. If L2's bot community wasnt so in your face, you wouldnt even notice many of them, blame game design and the banning policy for what you got :(

Seriously, other mmo has their issues for example WOW has battlegrounds hacks or exploits, gold farmers, cybering or whatever that came up since i left lol.
