I recenty rolled a Orc Raider lvl 35 atm. I was wondering sence they get light armor abilities has anybody ever used plated leather? Does the +Str make up for the lost p.def in anyway? I will be duoing with a Bishop and WC buffs.
I have both Plated and Full Plate sets just wanted to hear some opinions from the Destroyer experts before I hit 40.
well up to 62 you get vr4 which in 1v1 will more than recharge the hp lost due to wearing light armor. since you have a healer as well, you shouldnt have a problem poling catas in light armor either, but id still wear heavy in that situation. the pl set stats are just a ton better than what full plate can offer in that level range.
light armor is also nice if you want to use frenzy more efficiently since you take a bit more damage from mobs, your hp will be reduced faster and you'll (with any luck) stay at or below the 30% hp mark. its hard to stay in frenzy with vr until you get crush of doom
