how often can that palenka or what ever its called thingy be done!!!!

i got over 10mil total xp and an [censored] load of sp and a B bracelet after defeating the final boss! :)
ok..not to bump my own thread but i just read that its a one time ONLY thing...does this mean only one try or keep trying until ur out of lv range or defeat the boss?
No. It means it's an one time only. You finish the quest on that character, you can't take it again. Ever. On that character.

However...

If you NEVER speak to the guy at the end (or finish the quest to get the final rewards), you might be able to do it indefinitely just killing the bosses. they give neat XP and no vitality loss -shrugs-

I haven't finished the 6x yet so I'm not sure how that works, if the quest's over by just killing the final boss, or if the NPC spawns so you talk to him to finish the quest. If there's an NPC spawning, then I think you could pretty much avoid talking to him and just taking it over and over again to get the mobs and bosses' XP until you get to the limit of the range, so you finish it.
I finished the lvl 73 Pailaka yesterday, it's pretty awesome for Warlords/DN's, since they can use their own skills (besides the quest ones you get) with the quest polearm, at end it gave me 28mil xp (!), 2.85mil sp and an A grade shirt with 28pdef and 40mp bonus :)

WTB that buff and aoe skill for outside Pailaka's!! :P
I'll concentrate on that tonight :)
nuku - i finish it with clear silenos spear ^^ only stage 2 sroll.. cant enchant >< this instance need to be reapetable for dreads ^^
i agree, tho they need to add more deers ;)

Range and damage was pretty sick of that aoe skill, i think it's the same skill DN's get at lvl 83 in Gracia Final.

The dragon wasn't really of a problem, just spamming my skills + dragon weakness ;)

In the 7x I started at vit4 and before I killed the dragon I had vit2 so saying no vitality loss is false.

Also if you jump in the 3x or 6x one again and redo it you will see your vitality go down
the 7x pailaka thing is up to lvl 79 right?
it's up to 77
Is it a solo thing or a group thing?
So you have to do it on your sub, when you get there. Unless you already have all your possible subs above 77, in which case I won't feel sorry for you.
is it like other quests get it on your sub but complete it on your main?

Is it a solo thing or a group thing?

Solo
Krack,

I don't think it would work to switch classes before going in, but seriously I wouldn't want to. I went from 29% to 60% on my 74 destoyer sub last night. Coming time to call in that armor soon...

The question I have is, there are other palika's for each 10 levels? The 7x one is in Goddard at the base of the NW exit stairs. Where are the rest?
Well I would not really caring about getting my 75 sub any more levels but neededin that sp for my 79 skill.

-shrug- I'm yet to lose vitality, so I was talking about my own experiences. Besides, they give back vitality points, how many of these though, I'm not sure, since I had full vitality when I started doing them.

What I wonder is whether the bosses inside the instance are considered Raid Bosses (thus not dropping your vitality) or if they're like the Kamaloka ones and actually DO drop vit.
It's not wothy playing like that..Because if you do a grind it's a lot faster then w8 while dungeon resets..
I doubt you can do it, Krack, but feel free to try. Worst case you need to drop and restart the quest, I suppose.

The quest completion (which ends by talking to an NPC), replenishes your vitality all the way to the top (like a vita-pop). Personally, I would go in with Vit 0. As it was, I went in with Vit 2.
whats the quest like? can you do it on support classes like pp/se?
Pailika items cannot be exchanged, dropped, or traded, but they can be kept in a private warehouse.

Any word on whether or not they can be freighted?
they cannot be freighted. tested

No they can't freighted.

nope, they're regular mobs.

vitality get restored by quest itself, when receiving reward, not killing mobs.

mobs xp depends on your vitality level - tested with VL 3 and VL 4

Once you complete the quest vitality is returned to full, no matter where you started. I was at vitality lvl 0 and was restored to full lvl 4 vitality after completing the 73 pailaka.

whats the quest like? can you do it on support classes like pp/se?

Yes, that was my next question! lol

Can my SE do the quest solo without dying so many times that the XP at the end is what she lost and a little extra?

Sounds like my 73 OL at 71% will be able to ding with this quest and a little more... Can it do it with no issues also?

Do the mobs inside repop?
Mobs do not respawn.
Only support class I have done it on was a warcryer. Was the lvl 61 pailaka. He did pretty well because I could buff cat you get. SE prolly will have troubles with the 73, those mobs quite beasty.
well, 3x and 6x can be done with any class, including short legs, for sure.

IDK about 7x, pole and mob groups doesn't sound nice, but i think at upper level limit, it should be possible even with pp or short legged one.
Well, how do you even think of killing the last 6x boss with an SE?

Even buffing the cat and playing summoner, with those healers pulling him back (and respawning that fast), I don't know how I'd manage.

I almost got him on my Zerker but since I had to go afk, I got pushed out because of the time limit. Will be trying it again tomorrow.

the level 61-67 was easy with my PP i had this set up:

Unsealed DC heavy no ++ w/Shield
+3 Spiritual Eye w/Acu ** Augmented with Level 5 shadowflare **
Various Jewels from BO to Phoenix
C bracelet with Low Mana Regen
Using Improved Kookaburra lvl 58 (120mp Recharger)
and A Grade Blessed shots / soul shots

No HP pots/elixirs just what i got inside.

every mob inside was easily rooted with blessed shots, and i 1 shot most of the regular mobs with shadowflare. With kookaburra never needed to rest for mp. A solid set of duals and a healer pet would probably work just as well.

On final boss I pulled as far away from the ship as i could Rooted/attacked. Once he started to run i rooted him and kept attacking as he was in flee mode he never hit back after that. Kept it up til he was dead. He never got to the healers. ^_^

As a side note it says they are resistant to hold but i never missed with it O_o

this is also a way to do it :P , it will start to flee at around 50% hp, so by pulling away as far as possible from the ship, maybe u could kill him :p

I have just done this on my sps.. die once and took me a 2nd tries to do it since the 1st time I ran out of MP and got lost - not enough time :(

so for SE it should be similar, since SE in inquisition stance is pretty similar to a SH (overpowered SH), so u need

DC robe set
SoM or +4 sov or something, or homu +8. don't bother to bring the mysterious sword please :p
bring pet SS, greater antidote, around 100 healing potions (the cheap 400 adena one), acumen pot, mp/hp elixir
buff the pet, use it to kill the healer (the boss doesn't arrgo tigress), then after the 5 or 6th healer i can switch to inquistion stance and nuke the boss, use tigress to hit the boss and kill the minions when it is respawned. Worked for me on sps and my tigress only has might 1/shield 1,lol

with SE, it's better to use inquisitor stance for last boss

first kill all healers, then kill boss, when healers respawn, kill them with kitty as soon, as they respawn (and they're respawning fast, but they didn't withstand much more than one skill + 2 hits from kitty. (using shots of course)
alright so the question is do you get more xp if you have vit? aka should i burn my lvl 4 vit before i go in since its gonna regen it at the end?

yeah, I burned all of my vit on the sps (vit = 0), after the quest i got back to level 4.

****

i answered this before
yes, from killing mobs in pailaka you get more exp, when you have max vit, then when you have zero.

for last bos in 63 i've got 950k exp at VL 4, and 820 at VL 3

reward from quest iself (when you talk with NPC after killing last boss) is unaffected by vitality, and you vitality get restored to VL 4, when you get reward.

I did both the 3x and 6x with a WS (level 41 WS in common FP set and a common top-C blunt for the 3x, level 64 WS with NM heavy set and a common Meteor Shower for the 6x).

In the 3x case, I could basically just run into however many mobs there were, and use Next Target/Attack/Summon Attack until everything stopped moving. Not much thought or tactics necessary. I had newbie buffs on me.

In the 6x case, I had level 40 SE buffs, alacrity pot and my self-buffs on me and my golem. And I could do basically the same once I learned the layout of the place (never been to the Devils Isle, really ...). Only problem was the loooooong run to the final boss (which meant I had to SoE and rebuff once from the fight while my golem had the aggro, since my buffs ran out), but he was almost perma-stunned from my Hammer Crush, so no big deal here. With all the backtracking and searching and whatnot, I finished this one in 85 minutes. Could be way faster if I knew the layout. Again, I could basically run into whatever mobs where there and kill them all off without breaking a sweat. Tip: Get some HP pots and antidotes with you, and have Bandage on quickbar - but you should do that anyway if you're off to unknown place. :)

Oh, and the powder kegs are cool. I'd like to order some 100 of them for the next time I have a castle to defend, please. ;)

Yes those powder kegs are awesome but I only figured out how they worked after I hit them:( there went 800hp out of the window... Didn't die though :) And yes the mobs are easy My lvl 62 B grade BD killed them really fast. Only irritating things where the constant bleed and poison but otherwise the quest is great fun :)

And yes the mobs are easy My lvl 62 B grade BD

lol never heard of a 62 B grade BD before lol :p

and I've don't eh 60's one twice now and both times gained a little over 11mil total XP and i don't even know how much Sp. and a B grad Brace that adds +20 mp when worn and gives two slots for talismans.
lol never heard of a 62 B grade BD before lol

Maybe he/she can't afford A-Grade yet?
i was comenting on the LVL of 62 and saying the toon was B grade haha not that they can or cant afford the gear.

i was comenting on the LVL of 62 and saying the toon was B grade haha not that they can or cant afford the gear.

We don't call character A-Grade just because he can wear A-Grade, but because he actually wears A-Grade. You're the only one finding it weird to say "lvl 62 B-Grade BD". Both infos are different and useful, while your point of view on the use of "B-Grade" would make it redundant info. Thus, you're the fool.
ok..your rite i DONT call a toon A grade because he ca wear A grade..i call a toon A grade because when they hit 61 they auto get A grade mastery in their Passive skills..thusly making them A grade....hence the entertainment at the statement a lvl 62 B grader because that character at lvl 62 had already recieved the A grade Passive mastery. nothing to do with the gear or any of that..just the wording...

at any rate...why attack me when it was obviously a lite hearted observation...man the people on this forum are brutal...

===back to og thread===
I did the D grade thing the other day and got alot of xp and sp on the 41 Pali i did it with and received a earring and a ring. Both equivalent to the omen beast eye pieces but they each added +20 mp when worn.

i guess Nc likes adding +2 mp to random items since they did it in both the D and Low A quests.
Just tried the 7x with my former lvl74SE .. now 73SE

I had dc-set and maj+3-set and used the spear as weapon 181 m.atk is better than his mysterious sword.

All the mobs u had to kill to get to the boss was easy kills, and so was the dragon .. at least the first 80%

After that i died 3-4 times in a row getting 1.shoted by nukes doing 4-5k damage .. not fun with 4k hp.

So i guess that boss will have to wait .. until hes 76 and can use Arcana-mace and tatt-jewels
lol o man wait..you got D lvled by the boss..im sorry man...that stinks!
On my SE 75 DC/Som+4 took me 10 minutes to get to the dragon and kill it. Not realy a big deal with the inquisitor thingy.

We don't call character A-Grade just because he can wear A-Grade, but because he actually wears A-Grade.

This was my point that my BD was 62 AND was wearing B grade armor and weapon.

lol never heard of a 62 B grade BD before lol

I indeed cannot afford A grade yet. But being lvl 63 in BW heavy and dual tsu*sls is like wearing a large banner over your head saying: This char is LEGIT

PS: and it's he BTW ;)
