you get quest, then you talk with NPC, it will create instant zone, just for you, where you do the quest. after finishing the quest, you can't do it again (enter again), it's one time
well, mobs in pailaka are not respawning. so visiting empty instance, might be fun, but IMO waste of time.
btw. you can exp faster in other places, than paliaka, if you don't count boss monster
After 90 minutes the instance resets and respawns.
Yes farming in paliaka is not exp effecient and they don't drop adena to pay for your shots so even if you could repeat with the quest finished I would not recommend it ^^.
Even though the bosses give good exp the minions don't give a lot.
my guess is there will be many more paliakas to come in the future its a draw point of other mmo's so lineage implementing them doesnt suprise me although other mmos allow you to keep going in ^^
is there actually someone that did repeat the Q by not completing it and if yes please some details. Was it worth it? Is there something to take care off? etc etc
Well, yes, you can repeat it if you don't finish the quest by talking to the last NPC. It's not worth it that much because you do not get the final reward, which is like 10.8 million exp for the 6x one. THe only way to repeat it and do it again is by not talking to the NPC that spawns when you kill the final boss.
But then again, as people said, it's not that worth. Minions don't give enough exp to justify it, and there are no adena or drops. You'd be better off leveling somewhere else, at least it'd be more cost-efficient.
You could stealth through it on a dagger and just kill the bosses. Would work for the first 2, not the silenos one though.. That one is boring anyway, a huge area completely devoid of any mobs at all
Stratic's walkthrough on this suggests the last part needs a better solution. Anyone got any ideas how to complete it and/or any alternative guides?
Further, if you fail to complete it in 90min, does it just reset, or do you lose your chance indefinately?
I haven't really asked for a "better" solution. What I meant on my guide was that if anyone had other ways to finish it, besides those I have used, that they were free to post for me. I posted the two ways I managed to finish the quest, one with my Necromancer, which has Anchor, and therefore can paralyse the boss and prevent him from going to the ship, the other with my Zerker, who doesn't really have any way of paralyzing the boss for that long.
What I meant was that if anyone else had found a third way of defeating the boss, by all means, they should PM me here on the forums or email Stratics so I would add it to the guide.
There's no "better" way to finish that, really. It all depends on what class you are and the strategy you use. But I'm always open for suggestions when I write my guides, so ;)
Oh, which would be better 'kai the cat' or the summons from the quest?
I did it without using the sword or the summon ......my skills were far better than the sword's! :P and my sword doesn't even have SA on it yet :D
So I say Kai the cat.
With a healer class u just use the kitty and heal it. It might take a while tou. With my bishop I made lots of preparation - pet shots, haste and acu 3 pots, both a and b grade shots (I had a valhala). The melee skill from the wpn is usefull too for the final boss.
First time I made the DevIsland one with an Archer and got the boss bugged, after kiting + shooting him to half HP he ported on the ship but no minions spawned and neither did the boss atack me.
2nd time on ES I used the tigress instead of my ponies (less patk but the special skill hits for over 2k with summonerbuffs). The summon alone was able to outdmg the heals of all 6 minions.
