lol luna again, it does not surprise me anymore ^^ youngest server, cheapest adena, every1 has tons of it. I hope this is not going to affect Teon again, because I'm already ****** of that I cant make extra money. Prices with every day go down, so to play buy/sell is quite dangerous.
refer to my post titled something has to be done wich was posted before gracia 2.0 for the person saying about economys booming and crashing cuz bots arent logging on
Some of us have been complaining about the extremely hard-grind (at high levels where you spend lots more bsps/ss) for pity drops of little adena and crappy loots/mats (common items - LOL). Yet some of you diehard foos have been flaming us for being whine babies? Well well well, we (the smart ones) knew this was coming and now we all are suffering.
When mobs at HB drop 3 animal bones or animal skin plus 20 arrows, you know it aint gonna work.
Well...I don't know about mass bans...
It's more like rats getting out of a ship when they feel it's gonna sink...
They sell out everything for real money in cheap prices to get a profit before the big bang imo...

So go to Monastary of Silence, mobs on upper floor drops 11 animal bones...
think the mobs on hellbound drop more like 50-100 mats at a time ;)
(and a few mpre arrows)
maybe u hunt on the wrong part of HB?
since im not a summoner, i have to settle for those low lvl 83 ones. I dare not to dream about the fancy chance of getting 50 stem at once from sand scorpions or scouts. on Aria.
Yep.
People complain about the bots taking all the XP spots, and selling all the gear/mats/etc, and the prices.
So NC does (I think) something about it, the economy crashes/explodes and people complain about the prices.
No matter what you do, and how much do you for people; there will always be someone unhappy with what it is that you do.
No. The problem is that NC has never actually done anything to solve the underlying problems, in fact they've pretty much just exacerbated the problem in several chronicles. First they nerfed the drop rate of all B grade and higher items. Then they got rid of all items dropping and replaced them with unwanted common items.
Never has NC once dealt with the underlying problem of the fact that everything costs too much and we make too little. The only people who have money are those who benefit either directly or indirectly (the resellers who do what they do "playing the market" to try fooling your eyes when all they really do is keep prices high and get fed from adena buyers and botters).
If NC wanted to actually fix the problem they would to some extent have to get rid of shots and simply double the numbers in all damage formulas to compensate. All recipes would have to be made into 100% recipes, and either the materials required would have to be reduced or the drop rate of the materials would have to be significantly increased. Since NC has never once done any of this, they have never addressed the failure of what they call a player driven economy when in fact it is not.
The only games that have actual player driven economies are those that allow you to get materials for manufacture directly from the environment through a process that does not require killing mobs. The best implementation of this is Eve online where you mine asteroids in different types of space to acquire different materials which are then used to make ships and modules. Most of the run of the mill items can be made with only a day or two of mining (all ships through non tech 2 battleships) which you then take to go get blown up in pvp encouters. Easy come easy go
I think that Aion is supposed to be like WoW. So long as its the good parts that are similar things should be fine. By this I mean the player economy has less bearing on equipment progression and more bearing on what you do with the equipment after you have it. From what I've read about Aion this aught to be the case. Though NC could screw up again and just make this another failure like L2 with armor customization options as I don't remember reading exactly how armor is acquired, hopefully more like WoW where you get armor from doing party/raid instances and not by grinding out 8 million mobs.
That's luna. Everybody boated to hurry up to highest levels, hoping "well somebody will do the dirty work of getting mats etc.". And that 'somebody' isn't around, somehow.
So you have bunch of boated 70+ chars with helluva adena and nothing to wear and use.
Lineage II's economic design is a colossal failure.
Hopefully they've learned their lesson for Aion, but I think I'd puke a lot if I even consider playing another NCSoft game.
I thought they did ok having the tax rate for the castle system. I always loved that about the game, having the ability to generate money as the lord of the land.
Isnt that also a big problem too? the benefits to owning a castle are horrible?
some castles lose money when trying to defend them (heine for example), so some arent even worth it, except for bragging rights, if anyone even cared about seiging, which was the basis for the game at one point.
yes... at one point the game was about taking a castle and killing the ****ed big dragon, which none of us can do with a group of friends, that is for those of us who even Want to.
thats where this game went wrong.
everyone rush rush rushed to get the best gear (which isnt even there) to be able to participate in the things the game was about, and as soon as we did, most of us left the concept of what the game was about behind.
Now L2 is broken and dying.
I hated WoW when it came out and still do.
Warhammer is ok... im playing it now, and will for a feww months, but its not L2
**** you NcSoft
you could of fixed your stupid game 2 years ago
instead you pushed for that
stupid hello kitty adventure island near elmore.
and added crap content instead of just fixing the stuff you had.
hm, i think ssa prices rized up because common drop was reduced. but it's just mine guess. i did not get any a gr common items after part 2 was implemented.
