you are planing on using it as an alt or to just waste your time in L2.
A BountyHunter is a much better choice if you want to make a dwarf to make adena.
reasons you shouldn't choose a WarSmith as main:
1. everyone has a WS as alt so you won't be crafting alot for others
2. craft shops in Giran are heavily underpriced compared to the cost of the recepies you are putting in your book so it will take you years to brake even
3. you can't get the recepies by your own since you can't hunt the mobs you need for quests or drops to get the recepies (you can, but it will cost you alot since you will need to use your golem and it will take you 10x the time to get it).
4. NCSoft has removed 50% of our crafts by adding them to the shops and in CT2.3 (final part of Gracia) even more stuff will become non-craftable.
5. everyone can make the same adena as you if not more.
and again WS alts comes and brags about how good WS is at making adena

Yay finally someone got it right! Sorry but WS alt does not equal cash. You are deluding yourself if you think you can offer something special to players to make money.
Anyone can craft soul shot using as noted the underpriced dorfs in towns and still make a ton of money.
Recipes...yeah, over priced to buy and too impossible to get for such things as a bw helmet. People cry if you want to charge them 100K to craft something but have no problem spending that teleporting around to purchase a **** stem >.<
#5 is so not true. I make more money now with my WS alt then I did when I didn't have one and it's only level 55.
a WS alt will always make more money then a live and played WS, know why?
cause they can [censored] sit 24/7 with craft shop once they got the level they wanted!

one more reason not to have a WS as main:
you have to be online to have a craft shop...in other words you won't regen nearly even half the vitality you would by being offline.

But the truth part is that lvling a dwarf from 75-79 was the EASIEST thing ever! I mean maybe archers lvl with the same speed, or some nukers, I'm not sure, but I lvled it VERy-VERY fast! (w\o epics). AND, if you want to LVL fast, not PVP and not WAR etc. etc. (like I do) - you start a dwarf!
Pveing is crazy.....

Being w/o Epics I killed mobs AS fast or even faster than Glady with "S" grade duals! Or an archer with Draconic. I was with "A" blunt. The only way an archer could outscore me is due to range, but again, I was killing "next target" mob, while archer was killing "bow weakness mobs" only. So, basicaly, when we did our calculations I outscored every class in HS. The same about IOP/KETRA (is the best example of all) and some other locations...
BTW, I have a question... should I or should NOT try to kill mobs in Pagans temple? I mean I have POF/SE/Golem with me. Is it easy to kill some mobs there (there's this place you can port straight in when you a noble, I don't how it's called) ?

Golem is usefull up to a point, once you have 150 attribute on your weapon the golem only serves to increase your kill rate, not XP rate.
i seriously doubt you can solo pagans on a dwarf. the golem have too low mdef to survive well as some mobs do AoE drains. but say a Duo with a BD, i think you could do it. i never tried myself though, once i was past 78 i started AoE and done that till 82.
Not wanted in a siege..? False - siege golem and hog cannon
Not wanted in a party..? False - extra stackable buffs
only thing we have that is sliglty usefull in siege is swoop cannon. doors and walls can be taken down faster by the siege force then it takes me to just summon the **** thing.
party? the little extra we give to party is easily ofset by the much larger DD power of most other meele classes.
pagans is under rune and i went there with BD, PP, EE and low lvl WC with an archer that was just slowing me down. xp per kill is garbage but the respawn rate is insane. xp would have been reasonable but it's too hard to keep buffers OOP so unless you have a decent group and want to share the xp around you are prolly better at ketra/varka or L room (for single target)
i hear ppl aoe pagans for good xp but i don't know where and not sure if it's worth it with the vr nerfs or if it's even possible anymore
I.T is the one near shrine of the loyal and L room which is waaaaay at the back or just up from the 4 sepulchers noble port is the best single target xp that i have managed to find
i can solo L room with only WCer buffs (no COV) and with a PP with pof or a BD i can keep it clear and wait for respawns
i know you didn't ask but you might also mean monastery of silence which is the one near vos or ketra and as far as i can tell it's crap xp considering the risk involved

IT? my suggestion for IT would be get a friendly BD with VR dance, 150 attribute spear and go AoE the rooms abit after entrance. not the first 4 that have similar mobs, but the later 3 that have either Bugs, all undead skeletons or a mix of them.
maj set for stun resist is recomended, mental shield is also recomended buff. i started there myself with AoE at 78, PP and BD without VR dance. was before the nerf to VR and polearm AoE but i still think its doable with just 3 ppl. although haveing a healer is a great security untill you learn how to AoE the best there.
45 holy pole PP, BD, WC and tallum and the place is pretty easy
slightly less xp than L room for my buffers but with the +15% xp without the golem it's better for me and alot cheaper

/pk Ashley (I can too) for saying WS MAINS make a lot of adena - my spoiler sub made more adena by 60 than my main ever has/will. I love ya, but no, my main doesn't actually make adena, infact overall I think I lose... but that's partially because it's a main and I play it as a main.
Take IC shield on our server, 60m+ for the rec, 3m a click, definately havn't had 20 clicks for full price yet, although I'll admit I'm getting close. Ofc by the time I've broken even on that I'll have to buy S80 recs...
That also takes into account that I spend most of my time logged off (vit) and most ppl that click on me are clannies and allies who craft for free. That's why I agree that if all you want a dwarf for is making adena, best not to go WS. Spoilers rake it in.
Perhaps if you stick with only mat recs and you find them all yourself (i.e. 0 cost) then sure, you'd obvioulsy make adena, plus the toon will sit in town constantly and doesnt bother you it's not gaining vit as fast, ofc this wouldn't be a main...
But - that aside, I still prefer WS. Golem/Boom are awesome, and those buffs are tons of fun, even if I can't remember to put them up half the time :o I do get more offers for partys on my spoiler still, but I can definately solo much better on my WS.

I gotta agree with you guys on this one, I don't know why anyone would play a warsmith as main... they have like no roll in a normal party... can't really DD , would be a decent tank if they had agression skills, but they don't. They have decent buffs, but they get those at like lv40... they're just kinda there (no offense to ne of u out there)... dunno why you'd play a spoiler even as main... as sub maybe, but as main?
