I tested it when we had the book exchange event and I wasn't very impresed when I tested it in the arena.
The chance buff lasts 4-5 seconds and doesn't trigger that often.
I had a duelist to hit on me (both unbuffed) and without shots...he could kill me 2-3 times without triggering the celestial shield.
ok so i got haste atm which is imo massively overpowered
anything else i should get?
wait, you think haste is really overpowered?? hmmm i was torn between getting either focus or haste from my 75 sub but now i'm confused again. even though the +30 focus looks VERY good. with my FB w/focus, and PP/SE boofs, i'll be sitting at 232 crit rate on a dorf (on my MS w/focus, i got a +26 crit augment, so with the focus sub-skill, i'll be around 186 critical). that i think is pretty good.
but now you are saying haste is also nice, i'm just not sure if chance haste is greater than having a constant 230+ critical?
thanks for the info LB. i wonder how it is when doing single-target, cuz thats what i end up doing 95% of the time. imo, if doing single target and solo most of the time. focus is the way to go, along with a HD or a FB w/focus.
If you want to pve I would go with haste and passive focus (not class specific, the master ability) that gives you a strait 30 crit ALL the time, dont have to wait for the buff to go off, then vanish before you reach the next mob. If you're really into critting (like +'d your skills for crit damage etc) you might want to do both focus's, but I do prefer the haste as well, it's pretty awesome. I suggest this for someone who goes +str, +dex tat setup.
If you want to set up more for pvp you want UD and celestial, it's hard to kill a dwarf, takes a lot of hits, so those are likely to go off and a bit overpowered. I suggest this for the +con build, since it's more for tanky dorfs.
