Fellow Soldiers of the AFS,

I am happy to finally be able to write the players and community of Tabula Rasa. We've been on quite a journey together. First in creating a game unlike any other on the MMO market, then growing a loyal community and finally launching the game and its players into space with Operation Immortality. It has been quite an unforgettable journey, one that I will treasure for the rest of my life.

I am very grateful to you loyal players for sticking around through what I think we can all honestly say was a rough launch. I thank the development team for pushing hard to get polish, updates and new content out every month since launch...a feat that I think is unusual in MMO development. They have a lot to be proud of.

Many of you probably wonder what my plans are, now that I have achieved the lifelong dream of going to space. Well, that unforgettable experience has sparked some new interests that I would like to devote my time and resources to. As such, I am leaving NCsoft to pursue those interests.

This news is difficult for me to deliver. I am honored to have worked with the team I've had and I'm grateful to the community who makes this game so unique and fun.

Will I miss him? DId he do anything for my favourite game?
(it may not be true - I do not know internal money flow - but why L2 players got bitter feeling that money from 'their' game were drained to project that was not that successful as it was supposed to be? ... at least marketing expenses could be higher for L2)

Well whoever he was and whatever he did it seems noone here want's him to ever come back so good luck with whatever ya do.

Basically, NCsoft paid him a HUGE amount of money and allocated huge amounts of resources (that could have been going to L2 or other already established games) so that he could put out the GAME TO END ALL WESTERN GAMES - because, you know, he's a god and all (according to NCsoft Korea). But of course, no one actually played this amazing game more than a week. The game, from what I've heard, wasn't too horrible but it fell WAY WAY WAAAY short of what NCsoft was expecting for it.

The bitterness comes in cuz NCsoft Korea seemed to think he was the savior for their western market, and gave everything to him, while we've pretty much been deserted, resources-wise (lack of GMs, lack of marketing, etc.). Now, how much of that is actually related to or caused by RG, I couldn't tell ya. But the bitterness is still there.

IMHO NCSoft should reinvest in L2!

i am confused, are they gonna close tabulla ?
MadJoe did some concept art fo them, that's all i know about tabulla.
