44+ Solo Leveling?

Hi,

I use to play in 2005, & now I'm back!
I'm just wondering, where's a few good places to level my 44 SH to B-Grade? (Solo, when I can't find a group.)

ive lvld most my characters from 40-52 or a lil higher on the bugbears and formors outside of ivory tower, fast easy kills, and lots of pots drop. get nooby buffs from oren port and go kill for an hour, rinse and repeat.

Depending on your gear and/or support. I did most of those levels in the beginning of DVC. Hunters gargoyle, Royal cave servants and Headless knights.

I've got +7 Homu & full Demon set.
No boxed buffer.
Just buffs from town.

Be a little careful at the place i told you about then. There are some agro mobs there, and you are depended on getting them down fast. There are also social mobs there, so it might be hard to handle them all.

I was leveling in Cruma Tower lastnight, & I believe they were all aggro mobs there.
However, I still survived! :eek:

Well.. I found out a deserted place (in most servers)... that's awesome and easy.

Just outside Hunters village(on the way to the cata).. I usually lvl there from 40 -> 48/49.

You can go deeper into those woods, after 45.. fast and easy XP. ;)

Are the mobs outside of hunter village aggro?

Only if you go a bit deeper.

Lakins, Drakes and spiders are aggro.

the spot around DVC is good yes, but for solong w/o a recharger not really, they dont drop pots. the spot of bugbears and formors outside IT i was talkin about is on the west side of the tower, south exit then follow it around. it looks like a big dip in the ground with a ramp going into the pit. fast respawn, fast kills, lots of pot drops, all in a decently small area.

bugbear warriors are agro, other than that they are just social to there own type. went from 40-52 in about 5 days on a sorc at around 3-4 hours a day before vitality.

The spot outside of IT has been PERFECT for my SH. She's leveling so quickly & will have no problem getting to 52.
Where to go after 52?...... Lol

Forsaken plains Plateau.

I was just outside of IT today as well.. and I might stay until 52.. I was unware that FOrmor Elders drop Cursed Bones!

it seems like a bad place to me since it takes more than 2 shots to drop them atm (I'm 44).

Might be a good place at 48 when I get to pump the skills again. At 44 Forest of evil seems much better since I can 1-2 shot everything out there.

it may seem that way, but also as Megatron said they drop cursed bones, the more you lvl there the less youll need to buy in the mean time. and for after 52, on my nukers i go to forsaken plains till around 58, can go to 60 but slows way down

after 58 off to VoS or FoTd can stay at both till in the 70's

Like I said.. at 44 try outside Hunter Village, when you're 47/48.. try at Formors / Tariks. I also have a ++++ Homu, a slave PP and a Slave SE(Same acc), which helps a lot. I use 1 Hurricane with BSSC.. and 1 Aura.. and it's done. ;)

True... but if they're hard to kill he probably will spend more money in BSSC. But I would try and see if it's profitable.

I'm moving to Forsaken Plains Plateau(right from port) as soon as I hit 50. ;)

I've been leveling outside of IT from 44 & now level 50.
At first when I was level 44, it did take more then 2 shots to kill, but once I hit about 46 it was 1-2 shots at most & I leveled very quickly.
Now I'm at 50 & the mobs are green & blue to me, so I'll probably move on to Forsaken Plains & then VOS.

Using 2 +4 int tats, a +9 staff, and BCsps, it is still 3 shots per kill (sometime 2 shots)

I'll try it again in a lvl or 2, it might help me get rid of that last tiny bit of lagging hp they seem to have.

get rid of one of the +4 int tats, you can only go +5 total to any stat but ----- to no ends, your losing all kinds of men or wit doin that.

o0 well ****, there went a buttload of adena for no reason :/

most common tat setup for nukers is +4wit -4men, +4int -4men, +4con -4str. or just the +4 -5 ones from grocery store if you cant get all the AA for the +4 -4 ones.

Since I've approaching B-Grade, what's the best Armor & weapon set up?!? (Currently have Avadon Robes ready)

3 shots for kill, where are you leveling?
I've been leveling outside of IT. I currently have +7 Homu & demon set. I'm basically killing everything 1 maybe 2 shots.

I'm going for BW.. because I have that set on my SE.

Avadon is a good set.. at least for buffers it is.

I've got BW also - it's on my Prophet.
The thing I don't like about the BW set for my SH, is the
-2 INT & -1 WIT.
Avadon provides 15% increase casting & the Zubei set provides M Attk +10%, -5% MP Reg.
All the sets in B-Grade seem to have a good & a bad, but which is the best for an SH & why?

The last time I used a B grade SH.. was in C3/C4.. let me get to 52.. and I'll let you know. ;)

BTW if the best tats for a nuker is,
+4 Wit -4 Men
+4 Int -4 Men
Doesn't BW Robes on a nuker, defeat the purpose of the tats?

Set with -int for nuker? BW is for buffers only, why nefring your m.atk? From B grade avadon is nice and cheap, or even demon till 61.
I did 40-52 in forest of evil (formors, bugbears, great respawn and 1 shot all but bugbear warriors in demon and homu).
52+ VoS is best spot, but you need emp3 and zerk2 to 2-shot with death spike.
If not VoS, cdling in Dragon Valley is also very fast.
Dye ofc. +4 wit/int -8 men, +4con/-4(5)str.

So, I did the right thing by getting my Avadon set. :)
I found the same thing, 1 shot the bugbears etc, but 2 shots for the bugbear warriors. (With same equip)

if your going to go to dragon valley bring along a recharger bc no pots drop. 52+ for VoS if you have both SE/PP oop yes, other than i didnt go till 58 bc i didnt have the buffers.

52-58 in forsaken plains on the orc shamans/archers and the gargoyles is where i went

Do not waste your time leveling in Forsaken Plains. There are better places.

Same for Dragon Valley.

A level 44 SH should be 2 shotting in Outlaw forest. At level 52 you can goto VoS if you have good gear, or the place near Blazing Swamp using Hurricane to 2 shot until 56 at wihch time just a +3 SoV/Acumen should be good enough for VoS. Stay at VoS until level 68 or 70 and you can move to the front of Forest of the Dead. Stay there workign you way back as you level (can leave front at 72 and move further back, using Hurricane + Seed of Wind that you get at 66). From 74-77/8 you just do the Vamp Camp by Tablet of Vision (sometimes people call it "Tablet Camp").

If you have good buffs you can leave FoTD at 74 and just CDL in Hot Springs. You can do that until 77 or so. There are other places you can go when either place is crowded (Shring, BS, etc.).

An SPS can almost 2 shot everything at 66 in the front of FoTD, so you may be able to 2 shot there on an SH at 66 with Hurricane and See do Wind Buff (I have Zerk, though).

A lot of people have other places that they say are better, but I'm not sure what those places are like. I just know I was getting ~35% a day in 72-74 on my Necro in FoTD at the front, having to 3 shot all the Dark Resist mobs with a rather degraded recharge.

They dont' drop enough to make that a suitable way to get them. You're better off buying them.

I've leveled 2 Necros though there, an SPS sub, and a Warlock in that spot.

You prolly get like 20 cursed bones in 4 levels (40-44), lol.

WOW!

80 Cursed bones in ~3.5 hours (Averaged)! That's great. When a Necro or SH using Death Spike can use about 200 a buffround. You do the math.

It's a waste of quest turn-ins, and any Necro or SH that level will not be leveling in IT Crater. On an SH I wouldn't go there to begin with. I'd be in Outlaw Forest using Hurricane until I get Death Spike at level 44 (at which time you have a choice if you want to spend more to be more MP Efficient). On a Necro you just go there to get 4 levels because Blaze fails too much on the level 45+ mobs in Outlaw Forest.

Buy something else with quest items, and leave Ivory Tower for Outlaw Forest on a Necro at 44 (when you get Death Spike). On any other nuker (SPS/SH/Sorc), you don't have to bother even going there. Go to outlaw forest.

There's a reason why they put Cursed Bones on a vendor. The drop rate is horrible and you can't even begin to maintain a stock of Cursed Bones while using them, farming them off those mobs.

Buy them, get Enchants from the quest, and sell the Enchants. By the time you get to level 44 and move to Outlaw Forest, drops should be paying for everything.

80 Cursed Bones isn't much - at all. It's a non-factor number of Cursed Bones. 28.8k adena... Lol.

What are you killing in the Forsaken Plains?

Drakes, Fallen Orcs and Stalkers.

Using the +3 SOV (if thats what you mean) compared to the +7 HOMU
(which I was using in C-Grade) Helps with consuming less SS & less weight...

VoS is fine. I went to VoS in C Grade (level 49) on Necro and I was fine. I got 1 shot only by m.crit and blades back then (in Demon Robe Set), but the XP speed makes up for the deaths you have, and much more.

I just tried VoS today.

Everything was tagging along just fine.. when a 3 consecutive misses (damage 0) on a Blade of Splendor got me dead.

Mobs are light red.. wasting 2(6 BSSC in my case) shots per mob isn't very profitable. :P

I prefer 1 shot(3 BSSC) and another nuke without a BSSC.

At 58 it will be better. ;)

Valley of Saints is like a lower level Forest of the Dead, with Angels/Holy MOBs instead of Vampires/Undeads :)

if you can reliably 2 nuke the mobs in the beginning of VoS (depends on the +++ of your SoV, come on you can make one from OE kris now) then it's the best possible place for level till 70+ (although you may reconsider after 61 as it's pretty boring) because of the high mobs density...

another argument is that VoS mobs are holy which means that they probably have a weakness to dark attacks, which are death spike and CDL and an overhit spell.

FoD mobs are dark so they might be resistant to dark attacks so the only option is hurri which consumes alot of mp..

it might be not accurate though I didn't try to level in FoD yet.

- kill mob max in 2 nukes
- have top jewelry
- +con tatoo

Buy as much as possible bspsb, cursed bones.
Kill mobs with "Death spike" skill. Pick only hp, mp and magic herbs (and vit of course). If mp amount drops below half, do following: death spike, death spike, body to mind. Till mp restores.

This strategy is more expensive in adena but conserves mana, and with mp/hp herbs you can do this non stop.

Even at 58.. a good bunch of my nukes fail... fortunately I've place the Life Elix on shortcut bar.. just in case. ;)

I went to VoS at level 49 necro as well

That place really teaches you to keep your eyes peeled which makes it an exciting PvE experience, you can't say that grind is boring.
