I know some bots has been baned on Aria because there are 100s of bots in the newbie towns and in the low lvl catas/necros.
Mass ban them and ban few more high lvl bots (including the heroes)
btw I was extremely supriced to see Shrine of Loyalty completly empty last night...not a bot in sight. to bad I didn't fraps it because that is something I have never seen during my 3 years of playing.
keep up the good work and hit the same persons again and again and again.
I am fairly certain Spam has been on the server, if not him then one of hte other very effective GMs, I have noticed a huge drop in bot count, in the 60-70 as well as the 30-55 hunting areas (only levels I have toons at) I am not saying there are no bots, but the number has reduced dramatically, as an example outside goddard near but not in WoA I used to have to kill 3-5 bots before I could get a 5-10 mob spawn area. Now it's all mobs as far as the eye can see...
So to you HGMSpam or your Aria Server Representative I say a Big "Thank you" please keep up the amazing work.
side note... I understand the urge of the player base to think just because the local area they are in still has issues that it must be server/game wide... it's usually not so while you still should state the issue, you should not assume it's the whole server/game just because you and your 5 closest friends are having the issue. Not a dig, just an observation.

that last part is more of a vent regarding what I see onthe forums .. not really about this thread particularly. Vent moment over I hope ;)
Akahige should check his bot reports more and not cyber with botted up hero's.
Yesterday was as much a joke as when DrSabre visited Aria unless the GM's have a reason not to ban the obvious botted up tagged toons of certain clans.
you should know already that when a GM pops their noses into theserver, they are instantly bombarded with mass petitioning to ban "certain clans' " wartags. these kind of reports legit reports though they may be really cant be looked upon as clear unbiased report.
even on aria there are people that will report you just for BEING IN that clan, legit or not.
i applaud the effort to ban bots in Lineage2, but as you may well know not every bot CAN be banned. not every report is made with the spirit of fair play. whats the first thing to do when you get rolled in pvp? /report. never fails.
it's just funny how they don't ban any of the end game clans anymore these days even though those are the ones harbouring the most hardcore botters of them all.
simple fact but 70% of the current hero's are or have been botters so w/e
even if they ban them youll always face this kind of problem. and not only in L2, ALL mmo's have this problem. UT, AO, EQ all. its part of being human - trying to cheat your fellow man. it happens not just at high levels too, if youll notice, draeke. botting happens as early as level 1.
to condemn a bot for botting is like condemning a war veteran for participating in a war. you can do it, and you can be right. but it doenst change the fact that botting, just like wars, continually occur no matter how many bots you ban or veterans you condemn.

Yes, there will always be cheaters in every game you play, even free games (which is even more ******ed imo). But in this game specifically, it is against the rules. I don't care what conspiracy anyone tries to come up with to justify it, it's wrong. It's in the rules that you have to agree to every time you log in. So as much as some of us haven't believed that NCsoft wants to do anything about it, they are bound by those same rules...and as we are seeing, they are enforcing them. Power to them for actually pulling out the ban hammer again. I hope this will be an ongoing thing.
And yes, I know this will never fully take care of the problem, as there will always be new bots and new cheaters. But every cheater caught and every bot banned is good enough for a kudos imho.

Ever noticed that the high lvl clans with all the high lvl toons never get banned and I see them botting all the time. I wonder if the gm's let them know they are coming in game to ban so they can stop botting. It's like they have been around the game long enough to know gm's and they are protected from the ban hammer. I may be wrong but something don't seem right about it. I have toons on 2 servers and it seems the same on both.

You forgot the most important one.
As long as NC Soft is more interested in the allmighty dollar than their own EULA there will be bots.
Sorry NC guys but its obvious that the Flurry was a joke on the players.
