All I gotta say is thanks NCSoft LOL. This is one of my favorite events
I hope I'm going to get one, because I've started at the end of interlude :(
Trying to figure out whats the deal with the cloned seeds.
Says in the event description you can buy these. They did this with the other squash/pumpkin events too.
Cloned seeds: what the write up says is that they drop of mobs and can't be traded or dropped... and I have not seen cloned seeds in any of the other squash events....

just tryin to make sure it's not all about selling nectars I guess...

you never saw the clone seeds in the earlyer events because this is the thing they added now! :)
Two of mine will be on sale on Sayha for 100m ONO from tomorrow.

ok for this i risked logging in one more time!!

WooT WooT WooT WooT WooT I love this event!!! :D

Nice back story write up too :)
and a suggestion for rewards if it's not too late! lol :p with the cubics we have lots of enchant scrolls so unless they are A or S grade they are nothing to get excited over :(

what lots of us need, are ELEMENT STONES!!!! They are hard to get, expensive and they fail a lot and soooooooo many are needed to element weapons and armor :/ Even ppl that aren't close to S grade yet could sell them and help the market prices adjust a bit :O

high and top LS's are good too

I know this is far fetched but epic jewels would be nice too ;)

lol one of my favorite events mobs dropped huge stacks of basic mats :D

and please, make any pots and scrolls stack with existing ones ><
Well hey, if we're making suggestions for a dream event, might as well throw in Vitality Lollipops too.

Heck yeah, i was praying that vitality pops would be included in the rewards while I was reading the announcement haha.
I know!!! Me too!!! :(
Love this and glad to see it back. Now we need the mat drop one again, the philosophers stones awesomeness (brez hats ftw), the raid bosses spawning outside town gates (early c3, never repeated it), and the ultimate - Dafstin's Revenge. OMG, that was the best event ever, mobs running riot inside Giran, and the biggest baddest boss you ever saw outside of town, killing indiscriminately and dropping a motherload of sweet stuff. In those days toons dropped gear upon death, so a whole load of ppl made out like bandits picking up stuff. Complete madness and uber fun.
WEEEEEEEEE! Omg awsome, my favorite event! YAY! N so what if the rewards are a little outdated! Lots of people with gather together in celebration on the last day of the event, squishing eachothers squashes!
Large Squash Seeds can now turn into one of two types of special squash: Large Squash, or Emperor Squash! The latter squash can't be pried open with a regular weapon. Chronicle souvenir weapons must be used.

When I read this part, it seemed that only the Emperor Squash has be broken with the Chrono weapon. It doesn't say that only Chrono weapons must be used to open all squash. Anybody else interpret it differently?

And why the Chronicle IV souvenir instead of the Chronicle V souvenir? Hell, why only give one type of Chronicle souvenir? That cat should give a random Chronicle souvenir weapon. Give some of the late comers a chance to get a Chronicle I souvenir.
Selling C1 - c2 - c3 - c4 souvenirs on devianne bartz, phoenix, and sayha. pm for infos.

i might have C3 and C4 on teon too.

That's how I read it too, that you only need the chrono weapon for the top squashes. I think more then just emperor tho.
When I transferred, I lost all my Chrono weapons >.< it was a very sad day!
So far for this event u need to use the chronos on all squashes, i doubt they would change that. And with all squash you should have a group, the biger the squash the bigger the group.
Q: I'm a wizard. Can I still break open a squash?
A: Of course! It will still take more than yourself to open up the large squash. However, most any of your offensive magic spells will be powerful enough to open a smaller squash. Please note that your magic spells will be ineffective against a large squash.

Well, the description clearly says that you can nuke-open the smaller ones.

Q: Does my race, class or level make a difference when using a Chrono weapon to bust open a large squash?
A: Nope. All Chrono weapons have a P.Atk. of 1. And no matter your race, class, level, buffs - nothing will change your damage output.

Race, class, level or buffs dont affect atkspd/critrate? o.O

high atk.speed will help for sure but you will always hit for the same (low) damage no matter what kind of buffs u have ;)
well im sure that fully buffed grand khavatari (or calmari whatever) with event fist can easly open large squash by himself
anyone know if you'll get event items while manoring (like coins of magic), or are they tied to normal drops and you can't manor?

i wouldnt be so sure. remember that hitting NPC's or players with chronos yields a GREATER damage output than vs squashes. vs players/npc's youd do 3-7 damage per swing. sometimes more. and crit for 20/30.

for those of us that HAVE done this vs big squashes youll know your damage with chrono weapons (regardless of Patk) is 1. crit for 1.

and large squashes have 1000 or so HP.

you NEED groups. there simply is no soloing.
Nice, need a 8 people group just for an event, that would be so easy...

Just take your seeds to the race track or Giran. There will always be plenty of people (at least in my experience from these previous events) that will help you out. You really only need 3-4 people to take out the large ones if you have haste-type buffs (Haste, Zerk, Dance of Fury, etc), or 5 people max if you're not buffed. If you're opening them with random people, don't invite them to a party, else they'll be able to pick up the loot that drops.
Not sure if things will be the same this time around. But last time you could buy the Chrono weapon from the event npc. Also last time I had no problem pop'ing the things with my WC'er, just turn on Soul Cry and you can solo the big ones with no problem.

in previous squash events manoring did not affect the event drops, they apparently work on teh same table as the adena drop.
