I have never posted on forums before, but these recent events compell me to post. I have seen many reports of you and other GMs finally going around and banning botters on Teon, Franz, Bartz, Luna, etc etc. But for some reason you have not yet visited Sayha. So, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE COME AND DO THE BAN SPREEE ON SAYHA.
Sayha is completly botted to hell. Every decent high lvl spot is full of trains. Every catacomb is full of trains. The bots are literally in every decent area, like varka silenios, ketra orc, IoP, hellbound, etc.
Yes, Sayha is considered by people to be a dead server. But there is still people playing on it, and the bots are taking every decent high lvl area.
So please, GMSpam and other GMs, tomorow or w/e you go on a ban spree, just pick Sayha. Give us regular players a break, and ban all the botters and all the trains!
Hope soon all bots will be banned. Don't stop please. There is still a lot of bot trains on Phoenix! For example 5 bot trains of 5+ ppl on IoP (Chromatic Highlands) under the Dance of Shadows killing everything but dragons.
Even if botting is something that is destroying the game,i hope you can understand they can't do this rigt?
I could say this will be the end for NC and for the players too.If they ban all the bots as you said,NC will loose a huge amount of money(cause even if they are bots they still use game time cards etc).For players then imagine a server with dead market.
Even if what i say sounds bad to you,and you would think of replying me real players can do everything alone,imagine a day that you will wake up,all bots will be banned and you will feel happy.
The next day you will need to craft something and you will not be able to find even Animal Bones for example.
Don't take it bad,but imo bots in huge amounts destroy the game play of normal players.Bots in normal amounts help your gameplay.
Bots in any amount destroy the game and balance. Actually, there are still live BHs, and live WS. And many people have BH and WS as alts, so you are wrong, there will be no Animal Bones, etc.
Any single automated game play instance destroys game balance and gives its user some advantages: faster reaction, automated potions drinking, better chance to sell manor fruits, 24h non stop grind and etc.
Looking to such info, that after bot ban hammer new wave of bots comming from low level, it looks like that bans goes only to characters, not accounts. Or even if account is banned they create new account with referal program.
I suggest following:
1. make a list of bot referals accounts
2. on each bot ban check its referal or even make count how much refered accounts were detected as bot accounts
3. if count is more than 2 or 3, block for that account refere to friend functionality.
don't have your hopes up to much thou as even though they did come to Aria 2x now none of the well known 82+ botters have been banned, even when handed to them on a silver plate
the server is as much a joke as Sayha is so just ban them all for real finally and do a server merger

I would be happy if spam just banned the bot in high reward areas, or the quest areas which are right now completly botted to the max.

I'm beginning to see Sayha getting more and more botted.
CoW is full in all of the high level rooms, Antharas lair has a group on the Cave Beasts and such, farming for the Whispers part I quest. Actually.. I'm tempted to train them next time I go through there. I'd love to see people try to bot on the Kariks for the 2nd part!. :p

Ackermans right, its evil i know, but bots have well established themselves as a part of the economy, any mass ban would totally screw it! Would have to be a slow change.

An example about what happened at Gustin.....
When there were the 2 huge ban hammers,some of the very known farmers got banned.Also a lot of bot trains got banned too.a lot...
After this Gustin was a dead server at market...You couldn't find anything,prices were way too high even for basic materials.
You think cheaters (aka botters) really pay up? Why would they be legit in payment when not legit in game.

I am willing to bet that a majority of bots are free accounts or are paid with hacked credit cards or hacked time cards (like the ones they sell on eBay that are already used).

Also add in the manor system, people can get their necessary mats. No bots=better chances of actually being able to turn in seeds :)
Every night at 9pm EST i see bots at every manor manager and within 5 seconds of seeds being able to be turned in, all manors are sold out.

i dont think ackerman in particular is justifying botting as much as condemning lazyness.
nobody wants to farm all the bones, steels, cokes, etc, keymats, and recipes necessary to craft S gear. let alone questing. and then to FAIL...
well i see botting as a quick way out. the way you can farm everything you want and earn high levels... just not do any of the work to get there.

GMSpam doesn't need to respond to you and tell you who he's banning or when he's coming to Sayha. For all we know you're also a botter just trying to free up some space for yourself to bot. In addition, GMs job is to be in the background watching/monitoring player actions and decide on the proper disciplinary response for that action. So please stop ur gripping and just sit back and relax and ENJOY the show ~ AMC theather or was it sony. IDK
sometimes the case in the server phoenix, when I want to go to level it happens that hat and boots using the zone is one that I do not look for another. and the final finish boring I think I should get tough on this in the boots, they play quiet T_T
He said when he goes out to hunt and finds botters there he quits looking for alternative spots and he needs to be tougher on himself or the bots in order to get his xp in.

I don't mind paying more for a period of time. After a bit, the prices would stabilise at lower prices, when the legit players would took the things in their own hands.

But farming the mats and crafting (and failing) is part of the game. If you don't want to craft and fail, buy the whole items ;)
But I want the bots to be banned, and I don't mind paying more for things etc. They are too much players to be bothered in the long run by this. And more would come back, I believe BHs also.
I agree...I want the bots banned too. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I know that banning bots will never be an 'end-all-be-all' solution as there will ALWAYS be cheaters. But I am willing to accept that (along with higher prices), if it means I will have places to hunt in...and if it means the adena-buying market is SCREWED. +1 to that.
Ketra, Blazing Swamps, WoA is almost impossible quest there, lots of botters now have a active one to pretende they are boxed toons, but if u ks the mobs they stand there trying to pick the herbs, ignore same target, etc.
Plz keep the cleans dont make just a few bans as a small candy, even petitions are taking a lot of time to be answered (almost a lack on info on those too, keep saying to go check L2 page and a lot of info is missing)

Well I was so amazed that GM's started to work, but recently visited distant spots, like IoP, Disciples, V/K outposts... Everything automated there is running. (Thats Teon).
Who NCsoft banned? 1 random party on Hellbound? I dunno.

bots introduce mats yes .....but bots also introduce adena much much more than is needed to buy mats so the price of the mats grows, and if the mats price grows the price of weapons/armors/jewels(those crafted with mats) grows, if that happenes new legit players can't get them and there is a chance they will leave and that ruins economy more ....and so on....
take out the bots, mats will be made by BH(playable again) and manor(being used by humans more) and the adena would slowly sink, because less adena means that people won't pay so much even if the mats are rare(they will go make their own).
The economy of lineage2 is like nature ....leave it alone and it will clean itself, mess with it(bot) and it will destroy all of us.

If you're no grade you should be able to get D grade drops and rewards so that you can at least look forward to continue to level and so on. Has anyone noticed how messed up the reward and drops system is? I say to hell with the bots but at least give Us a better insentive when it comes to drops and I dont mean just basic mats.

You are wrong here. Whole system is made that all needed ITEMS for your grade can be aquired with help of party/clan. Or bought from higher grade character. And otherwise most base materials should be gathered by lower grade characters - it is on question, but in most cases is true.
And last thing: if you are not spoiler don't expect to became rich because of drops, no no no, you are fighter, thats it, and yours drop is only luck (by removing full drop items from normal mobs it is even more clear).
The wealth from mobs is spoilers bussiness not anybody else in game.

3)after they both die the rest should all die
*if you have 0% res check to see if they are accepting the res if so keep ressing the leader who aggros mobs & watch him die over and over again :> (those are the funny ones to watch & report because there's hard evidence of em botting.)

Actually he is right YOU are wrong. This is why L2 is broken and has an abysmal population.
when I am fighting level 25 monsters I get no grade drops....When I an fighting level 45 monsters I get d grade drops etc etc etc... Same goes for raid bosses. you cannot really over acheive and fight tougher stuff, because you just miss and get pounded 4x as hard.
So you end up with a musical chairs scenario, IE if you are the first set of players leveling up great you got a playerbase lower than you to sell to. If you are the last set...your out...noone to sell to. Infact is even worse now since everyone buys c grade down from shops.
Is funny so many people left in L2 bot they are completely clueless how broken the economics are in this game. Do a search find a good bot webpage check the forums....not like 1 or 2 peopel botting.....not like a couple dozen botting.... HUNDREDS botting, and I am not talking about professional adena farmers. They are regular old players.

While this is great info, there is one problem.....the botters don't care. That marco is running 24/7 they rez up, run back from town what ever over and over and over again, you will get bored goto bed, get tired of wasting your time.
Hell, killing them in some cases is doing them a favor cause alot of them have to delevel.
Simply put you cannot win, only mitigate how badly you are gonna loose, meaning how much time you are gonna waste messing with them. I have resided to the fact you just are best moving on and try to ignore them, laughing the entire time I read hero chat knowing that almost everyone of them botted to their level and runs/ran bot trains to get their money. Knowing they are only fooling themselves.

I guess I'm the 00.1% then. I have never botted, I will never bot. In fact I don't even know how to bot. I suppose I could figure it out, but I'm totally not interested.
