I was just wondering what the rules are as to using video footage taken from Lineage 2 in personal videos? Obviously people make PvP videos all the time and upload them on the internet... but what if, for example, I wanted to use footage from the game in a piece of work for university which could result in being used as part of my show reel of work when applying for jobs?
Basically what i'm asking is.. is video footage recorded from Lineage 2 copyright? And if so, who would I need to get in touch with to find out more about it/ask permission to use it?

If you are not using the Intellectual Property (IP) for your own profit you my use the information as long as you give the proper credit to the property owner. Make sure this information is added to IP used:
If you feel that the work you are producting with the Lineage II IP is questionable at all you may always send it to support for review. Of course NC retains the right to remove this permission but if you are using it like you say, it should not be a problem. :)

I'm not sure broadcasting to a potential future employer that you are addicted to an mmo will really help you get a job. Isn't a reel like you are saying usually used as an indication of what you have done? (coded, painted, whatever) You have not made the world of lineage 2 so I do not see how this could help you and would almost undoubtedly hurt you.
Unless he's applying to an MMO fan site or other gaming community. Also, if he's showing off editing and post-production skills, then I'm pretty sure any content would be deemed acceptable.

And yeah, purp is on the ball. Without going into too much detail, i'm making an advert as part of a Media Technology course, to demonstrate my editing, and post-production skills :)
