When I saw the pumpkins were back I was the happiest player on earth.
Then I started grinding for the nectar and turned out the drop rate of Nectar was nothing else than a JOKE.
Anyway I decided to play along and got some large squash seeds. I called few of my friends from the clan and we started smashing the hell out of those pumpkins, in the first stage I had like 12-15 large seeds and I've noticed that the prizes are a joke: the king and the emperor had most of the times the same drops as the low quality pumpkins.
I was very disappointed and decided to quit with this event. But then Sunday morning the unspeakable happened, coming home from a party (a little "tired") I loged in to do the cubics quest and in a moment of weakness I bought with my crafter nectar for around 30-35 large seeds (on 29k per Nectar) went to sleep and several hours after I got rid of the "tired" condition I loged in and called on my friends.
We started smashing pumpkin after pumpkin and one Emperor from the 3 ones i got gave me 2 EWS...I was like :D. The other two emperors were a joke one gave me 4ead 1ewb and a few pots and the other one somethinf similar.
On monday I left for work and let shop for buying around 3.300 nectar (that was all the adena i had left). My spider sense told me that if i got 2EWS with 30 large seeds with 60 I can't go wrong, or maybe wasn't the spider sense and was just the greedy human nature....hmmm who knows.
Came back home after 12 hours or so and called my friends, we smashed the pumpkins and.....NOTHING!!! From all the seeds there were only 2 Emperors and 4-5 King pmes...I was like WTF is this a joke how can this event be such a screw up???
So my point is: did anyone got anything good out of this event, and was it just me or somehow this event was kind of broken and implemented in a hurry just to keep players busy?

Good for you but you still didn't said anything,like how many pumpkins you smashed, what you've got from them. Is ^^ like an item, soul crystal lvl14 or what?
I thought that the drop rate on nectar was surprisingly low, though it seemed (and I admit, this is just my perception) that it increased over the weekend of the 29th and 30th.
As for rewards, I got a few dozen Greater Magic Haste Potions and Greater Swift Attack Potions, a few EAB's, saw someone get some EWB's, and I got a Red Level 10.
I was not expecting to make a lot of money on this event, as I tend to use whatever I get for myself, but I had been looking forward to smashing squash with my clan, just for fun.
I did like the removal of the chrono weapons for all but the largest squash, but felt that the drop rate was just too low to really matter.
I had 7 large cloned seeds... best I got from them was 2 EAB, so at the end of the event I was up to something like 240 nectar, and I did all of them as smalls... I got a ton more pots than I would of from 4 large, and I got 2 EAA from small squashes to, which is highly doubtfull I would of got that from 4 large squashes....
moral of the story: at least for this event, doing 10 small squash > 1 large squash.
So... overall, no didn't get anything very good. Alot better than garbage mouse event though, at least this one you got event items hunting, rather than having to waste 2hours every day slowly and boringly killing event mobs, getting no xp.
Did anyone ever get any soul crystals above lvl 10? I got 4 soul crystals and they were all lvl 10. A couple years ago lvl 10 would've been "zomg!!!" but nowadays...meh.
As for the event...was fun I guess. Out of around 70 large seeds, the highest enchant I got was a lone EAA. I think I actually lost money on this event lol...oh well
This was what I felt about the event, too: Meh. None of the rewards were of any interest to me, nothing that I couldn't already get fairly easily. It would have been nice to have a chance for some enchant stones, or even a block of lifestones, or the jewel augment stones, something like that. It was more aimed at the lower level player.
Although I always have fun smashing the pumpkins.... ^^
I got nothing interesting.
But I wouldn't have minded getting an ews or 2... those could net in a heap of adena... No such luck thou.

Like others, I was so excited to see this event back, and like others, I soon lost my enthusiasm for it.
In fact on my spoiler it was beyond terrible - didn't get a single nectar for first 50 minutes! And thererafter got like 6 in 4 hours. (and this was hunting areas where people never hunt on white mobs, on the basis that the more a mob is hunted, the less it drops).
So I tried a different tack, and started setting buy stores for between 15-20k. Got around 1000 nectar this way, and another 200 on my Gladi (faster kills, and yes they definitely increased the drop rate from the Sunday onwards; was getting up to 18 an hour on her).
I had 4 large cloned seeds and 25 regular, from which the best drops I had were an EWB/2 EAA from an emperor. These I popped as soon as servers came back after maintenance, and made me decide to not bother using the nectars I had, but to turn them into large seeds with enough nectar to pop them, and sell these. This I did within a couple of hours of restart, at 3.25m per large seed (of which I made 16), and 59k per nectar, giving me 60m (taking into account the nectar I had used popping all the cloned I had got). Therefore for an outlay of 13m, I made at least 47m profit, and that's not including the 600 A crystals I bought at 17k each as well. Good times, but perhaps not in the way the event was intended to reward diligent players (I should add I took the spoiler up 2 levels and the Gladi from 53-58 in my pursuit of nectar ;)
The first time they ran this event the drop rate was every 2-3 mobs; rewards were much better too (much more A crys/SA crystals and even pots were in greater numbers). Now we've all spent so long grinding what do they do? Gimp the rewards. Makes no sense at all, and we've seen a similar story with other such events. I'm sure if they ever brought back the mat mobs event we'd be getting 4-5 bone instead of the 100s we were getting before. Absolutely crazy. If they carry on like this they should just call them 'non-events' and be done with it.

Being a casual player, I got about 15 nectar's. I then found a spot where bots had been and picked up 20 to 30 more. All I ended up with where a couple of A crystals and a couple of Greater haste pots. :cool:
Fall Festival 2008

One year ago, tragedy befell a small Pumpkin Village. The village was preparing to celebrate their annual Fall Festival when they heard a huge explosion! Thick black smoke covered the small village and there were ominous black clouds in the sky. This event marked the beginning of the destruction of Pumpkin Village by an evil turkey lord and his minions. Now the turkey lord has Aden on his mind and he is headed to our lands to try and take it over!
You will need to help stop the turkey lord's evil plans by destroying him and his henchmen before they can take over Aden! You will be rewarded for your efforts and can collect pumpkin seeds from killing the henchmen which can be turned in for Bronze, Silver, or Gold pumpkins! Opening a pumpkin will give you one of many rewards.
Gold pumpkins can contain Pumpkin Armor or a Pumpkin Sword among other nice prizes. These two items are very special! They both can be safely enchanted to +6. These items will vanish forever once the turkey lord and his minions have been vanquished so in order to safely keep them, you must get them enchanted to at least +8. Silver pumpkins can contain a Pumpkin Hat which can morph you into a scarecrow! This hat will also not stick around like the other pumpkin items but it can create pumpkin pie that will last! Bronze pumpkins will have several consumable prizes inside. Be sure to collect as many pumpkin seeds as you can since the fancier pumpkins will cost more seeds! In addition to seeds, the minions will have foods from the harvest that they stole from Pumpkin Village. These foods will be quite delicious indeed!
In addition to harvest foods and pumpkins, polymorphs will be unlocked for the duration of the event. The Fall Festival event will last from November 19th until December 3rd.
oh i remember that event, the one where any level [55-62+] can kill any RB and they were all super easy? easy enough to solo or just duo? that was an awesome event
Drop rate was weak, and Rewards were old. Lets see crystals i can purchase in lux shop, and few and far between high level scrolls. Best thing i feel i got was the 28 GSAP, and 10 Quick HP Pots. I really hope this wasn't just some lazy person just pacifying us until the next event (*waiting to see) comes out for Christmas; as that would just be sad that they would redo an old event reward event heck the medals woulda been a better choice and more related to the edition of lineage we are in...
Id rather have an event with interesting ideas and relevant items then something that they just pulled outta there arses. :P

Why did L1 get a WAY cooler event than l2? :O
Gee and here i thought that these guys thought up the Turkey guy of the new event all on there own :P Althought that is an awesome event i still say stop taking event items like pumpkin transformation(and the armor/weapon in l1 away from us) whats the harm in leaving these items in game... still waiting for an answer on that one :P
While this event wasn't exactly on my top 10 list, I have the feeling that the vast majority of L2 players think that any event is better than no event.
Or have you so soon forgotten the 6 month span where we got, literally nothing.
I actually made out pretty well and i never bought one nectar.
tons of GSAP, a few QHP, lots of GHP, quite a few dif types of enchant scrolls. The best thing i got was stage 12 green ^^

No shadow hats, no transform braclets, nothing fancy at all. The Philosopher Stones Event was much better in this...
Still, I like the getting together and the excitement when you cross your fingers for your friend while you hit on those fruities. :D

Lets calc a little bit :)
1 big squash full cost in nectars is 55 = 50 to buy seed and another 5 to feed.
To get 1 ews you need = 10 * 5 * 55 = 2750 nectars.
Ok, nectars drops other stuff in addition so lets double ews reward :) to be more close to real rewards.
2 ews. 2 ews costs ~160kk (on teon)
And finally nectar self cost 160kk / 2750 = ~58k
From this event i got some QHP, GHP, few haste pots, some EAD and EAC...
I wasted more Adena on this event that it gave me.
Imo the Events are to CRY OUT LOUD for.
Seriously, the event with the mise was just a tiny bit of fun, i still have all the buff scrolls.
Tho, on 1 char i recieved 2 Wonderious Cube's. How useless is that?
U cant sell it, transfer it to another character nor drop it...
Better the do more "lose" events, like a few PvP events each weak.
For different kinds of levels, now all pvp is like 70+ minimum....
What about the 69 levels below? Underground Coliseum is empty, not used. Never seen anyone in there....
Same for all other arena's except the one at MDT..
The Coliseum at Aden is rarely used... So what is the use of them to have them there???
Yeah.. this event was a bit dissapointing. I opened up about 30 large and got a bunch of EAD,C,B A(2) EWD,C,B GSAP, GMHP, GHS, QHP red 10s blue 10s red 7 8. Not even a brez which would have really calmed down the market.. (2.4m for a brez atm wtf). All said and done it didnt give me anything that i couldnt already get for a little bit of spare change..
Happy April Fool's Day, or Thank you for playing Lineage II.. Seriously, this event was bad...drop rate was horrid consistantly on nectar, and even when you had enough for a large it was like getting a weeks worth of cubics at once if you were lucky (aka, d and c crap if even that). If im not mistaken the first time this and the letter event were out, the drop rates were consistant, and in a good way(at least that was my experience, especially during the c2 letter event). Upping the drops during peak hours was kinda crappy, but this time around is was just so bad all the time...having events are good imo, but at least make them a little more enjoyable, getting nectars was a worse grind then leveling this time around :P
