My highest now is a lvl 64 Necromancer and I started her on CT2... I've rerolled way, way too much during the 3 years I've been playing, because I hadn't found (up until now) anything that I was really happy with. So I would generally get to a certain level and get bored, and start over again. Rinse and repeat.
The Necromancer really caught my attention though, and I'm happy with it. Although I haven't stopped alting at all (Can't, it's an addiction). I would have probably have a subclassed toon by now if I had tested the Necro earlier.
Other chars I have that are 6x: Shillien Elder, Gladiator, Warcryer and Berserker. Soon a Soul Breaker to follow :D
But the "main" remains the Necro. I really like the class.
55 is my highest currently. In my defense, I did take 2 years off from the game right around Chronicle 5. He is currently naked as I didn't think I was coming back.
My new highest is a 22 Human Wizard. She took about 2 or 3 days of playing, and wouldn't have taken that long if I hadn't been taking my time. Plus she sat in town for a bit and sold 3 wolf collars for about 600k each. Which is why she is now in a knowledge set plus top d grade common weapon. (I really don't see the point of enchanting a d grade weapon, so common was the obvious choice: 80k versus 1.7kk, no brainer)
Been around since C1, this being my Highest Char. My EE Subclass is almost 80, and my Archer main is 10% into 79. I have my buffers and such, but this being my highest character.
Imposible to quantify... my account was made in beta, but it has been inactive 95% of the time since, as I didn't really like it as much as lineage 1 (until lin1 took a turn for the worst a few months ago)... I got my SR up to 67 in maybe 4 months of actual playing. Restarted main as HE, and I've taken it to 61 in just under a month so far...

Rolled my first toon in prelude, April 2004 - and have stuck with it as my main, not really one for alts, although I have a bunch they all have their purpose in supporting main or clan :) As you can see in sig I'm LV78 with a sub that I havent really leveled yet. Both would be higher if I had time to grind alot but I'm kept busy with lots of other projects ingame (and real life pretty full on too). It also was alot slower to level the lower levels back in early days.
Mind you if idea of this thread is wondering how long it takes to level up high, you cant really compare to now because its faster, especially with newbie buffs to LV62 and vitality, so I'm sure it wouldnt take a new player anywhere near 4 years to get to S grade ;)

I started right after Gustin was born in Open Beta. Started my BH as main. It used to be my main until C4? when academys were introduced. I had started my Necro in OB too but did not level him until late C3 for preparation to academy (40 the day academy was lauched). Since C4 the necro has been more or less my main.
He's now 65. The BH stopped at 58 @ C4.
I also have 56 SE which has accompanied the Necro for ~2 years now, 52 WS, (deleted 51 BH), nearly 52 Gladdy, 47 Prophet, 45 PW, 40 Pally&SE and several toons under 40.

Started in open beta. Between me and my BF, we have 80(84%) SpS, 80 (10%ish) EE, 78 SE, 77 PP, 77 SpS, 76 Necro, 70 ES, 69 Tyrant, 62 SH... I think those are all the toons above 61. Not that great considering how long we have been playing, but not bad either. I am very proud to say that we have never used a 3rd party program or bought adena or anything like that. I think no matter what level, everyone should be proud of that, not too many of us left.
Started in beginning of October. lvl71 bishop (+ 2 other toons to kill time when bored of healing), fully lvled with vit2 or more :)

Getting to 70 in two months is very very very possible with the new leveling speeds if you play a lot. If I totally quit my main and played a new toon as much as I play my main now, I could hit 70 in 2 months easy.
To make a long story short I have quit several times but have come back to L2 because it's the only game that can really hold my attention. After 4 years of on and off again playing I have.

I imagine I could have a couple subs or more If I had stayed with one toon, but alts are a nice change from the grind on my main.
I started in August 2007 with my SWS named "Apock". Then there was the Kamael update and I wrote a big Preview with the stuff from the pts. Everebody said, that I will soon play a Kamael. A few weeks later I did a reroll and my new main till now is my level 71 Kamael Berserker named JameSirBensonMum :). He could be higher but I have a lot of twinks and I like the alternation ;).
I begun playing in late C4. After almost 2.5 years I made 79 on my DC main and 58 on tyrant sub. I have several (<50 alts), mostly (money making) dwrves.
I started on C3 and got my WL to 74 near the end of C4, then i left the game for a while after some discussions with my old ally and clan members when like 70% started botting, i end up quitting the game same with few friends.
I back to game on Franz 1st day and started as a Tyrant atm im 76 and my Sub Sorcerer just hit 72 2 days ago, so counting with my 4 months break was near two years to get 76/72 with alts too, specially my WS to craft my own shots just need few more levels to be able to craft S shots
been around since NA Closed Beta and have been playing almost non stop with only 1 quit time out of ~3 months when I was fed up with the bots/cheats in this game even thou I did came back again (not that anything has changed on that account au contrari)..

Sorcerer is my latest focus, and I can't say I got bored of it in the least ! Nuking was my thing since I first started L2 and it will problably forever be my thing. Owning mobs (players too maybe but I'm not into pvp that much) from afar is the best sensation.
Hopefull I will stick to the Sorce+SE combo untill 78++ (right..).
Then subclass and... go nobless..
Somehow I have the sensation that L2 will die out before I manage to break the 6x barrier :).

Me, I'm still a long long ways away. Vitality has helped alot in getting the last 4 levels or so, but it has really slowed down from here, and I am told will only slow down even more.

My highest level toon is only 73 (HE). My original main is 70 (SH). All of the rest of the toons on my main account are 60+. My second and third account buffers are all 60+, and I have a crapload of toons that are 20 - 50+ on those accounts. I started at the beginning of C1 and have quit multiple times due to real life priorities.
Eventually I'll reach S grade. Then again, maybe not. When is Aion due out...January?

Started in Open Beta on Lionna, original main was 54 SpS, quit(as stated above), came back just after Interlude and rolled a Gladiator and got it upto 55, quit again and came back at Gracia Part 1, rolled a Soul Breaker on Phoenix and have gotten it upto 76 and subbed Arb at 65. Also have a 60 Gladdy, 58 Sorc and 50 SR.
69.5 DA is my highest. WS is 58. BD 49. etc. I also have toons up to C-grade on 5 servers.
My log date here on forums, Jan 06 was when I started L2 (same day). I'm coming up on 4 years with about 10-11 months having been taken off for one reason or another. Figure just over 3 years playing casually on Lionna/Aria.

Since by his account name I am guessing he is 18 or 19 meaning or all he does all day is sit home and play video games it might be possible but he had to have a helping hand because to get that level all at the same time you need adena to keep going because he is not sitting in town selling anything.

BTW I started in open Beta Highest account is 77 GS/62 BD but have 3 accounnts and 8 toons over 60.
I'm a casual player and have played for alot of years. Started last week of C2 with a toon, and have rerolled since then. All have been played legit and because i'm a father of 4 children now i have limited gametime.
My main is now 76/75/74(~60%). I have met alot of great people during this time, and some people who are not so great..
But as long as i have fun with my friends, and don't get to tired with the game i will continue to play it. :)
Well I started a Dark Wizard on Bartz to see what a new player faced with the new changes (new to me anyways) Started her on Feb. 13th, as of maintanance today she is lvl 30. Thanks to the event I have just over 4 mil adena.
As for main Padmai is 62 been playing her since CT1 with many an alt in between and 1 year break.

I think I'm the only player in NA/EU L2 who have legitimately reached level 80 solo (which means playing either self-buffed or with clan hall buffs). I have also leveled 3 subclasses, in the same way (i.e. soloed 99.99% of it).
Sometimes I play my alt characters (lvl 52-70+), all in turns, since I've got only one account.
It took 4 years of casual playing (few hours a day).
I have earned each and every adena, all my gear and other stuff on my own. I just wanted to prove it was possible to achieve without breaking the EULA even once.
I've been in the same clan since the start, participated in almost every siege etc., never detagged even for a day... unfortunately, legit clans can't get anywhere in this game, and now I don't find it really exciting to keep competing against robots.
Started one of the last days of october this year.
I have now 62 bishop, 50 warlord, 42 elemental summoner, 40 kamael archer, 35 crafter.
I started in the beginning of November with EE, well i stopped it on 48, thought SK will be better and i started SK, till 60. but always somebody have to buff the mates, and i go on WC now 68 (soon i hope 69). i had several low-lvl chars, only for the qubics .... i forgot my BH 61 :D

Yeah. I realy love using dark elementh for pve. Very effective. :) Don't have any boxed buffer and don't realy feel need for it, cos i can hunt mobs without any rest anyway, just herbs are enough. DS cheap mp cost, btm, dark wortex, vampiric claw, cld... all set of mp/hp management skills helps me go non-stop :D

Level 77/76, playing since open beta. Would have been much higher, much faster, if I had picked a solo class to start. Depending on groups slows one down A LOT.

Any tipps from you about the lvling ? i am still 67 xD Sometimes is really boring to grind grind and grind and only gain maybe for my lvl in one buff round 20min 4%...i know in higher lvls its even less...so even worst!!
HEhe Drak it's not the same for a Glad. My Glad is stopped at lvl 62 (account's inactive too by the way), so I have no clue for Gladiators. I'm a nuker though, with SE support, so I spent 62-71 in VoS thn 72-75 in FoTD.
After I get the subclass quests done, I will probably have to move. Things are probably blue at 75 in FoTD so...
VoS? Valley of Saint? until 71? hmm..i am trying to lvl with my gladi with fort buffs 20min rounds in BS in the lower part. I will try the upper part after 68+...
But is so slow and it gets very fast boring. So I try to get often a party or something which is better than soloing days around without lvling...I miss th palaika quests..they are awsome and they should make much more of them for us! That we can choose..grind or do quests to lvl. That is the thing i love in WoW...the only thing...doing tons of quests to lvl and farm at the same time. At least you have something to do you know? The most current quests in L2 isnt even worth trying. I mean, it much more fun and killing time doing quests to lvl and adena ect as just acting like a bot killing mobs...its so..how to say..transparent... =( And the best quests are only aviable for high lvl players like hellbound quests and the new gracia quests...
Drak-I would think fotd would be better than VoS. At least I found it so at 67.
Even with my panther summoned the Bone Maker's gave over 30k exp. I'd guess higher for you solo (unless you take a buff pet of course).
I spent a lot of time in VoS but for me the mobs in fotd were easier (and still are as I approach 70).
Also, at 67 you can still do Silent Valley Plateau (run up hill from port in and turn Left into ruins). The orc shaman tiger that transforms (the one with 3 attributes--not the one with 5) gives a ton of exp and the respawn on that is pretty quick. Back farther you get the orc captains (aggro) which should still be green if not white to you. That's a fairly quick place to level and pots drop there as well.
Just my 2 cents. As for your speed, that's about right I think when solo. I get around 4% per buff round (a bit less) and figure about 11-12% per hour. This is with vitality of 3 or 4 at level 69 with panther summoned.
I'm still new enough in my return to think this is GREAT! When I left (just before vitality) I tended to get about 1-1.5% per buff round or around 4-5% per hour (closer to 4) solo.
Well elly..i did all that quests you told me..and all they gave me with vit lvl4 0.20% each. This i get if i kill 2 mobs in BS..so that quests are really worthless to do. That is what i mean..the rewards of most quests are really to forget about it and just grind around.. :(

You didn't have to do them to see the exp wasn't amazing (that's what guides are for), I just said they were quick and easy to do. Seeing that there are a slew of quests that take hours and give you nothing or 2k, even .02 is ok with me.
im lvl 84 titan at 82% and 76 sts 75 tyrant been playing since the beging of c2 took about a year off but lvling has realy taken off for me since i hit 81 4 months ago it took me 33 days to go from 83 to 84 and if all goes well only 28 days for 84 to 85
in 4 days it will be 3 years of playing :) casual player, sometimes playing 2-3 times a week but lately getting so many party requests on the cardinal i log in almost every night during weekdays for an hour or two.

took me several months to get a 55 WS, that was years ago , before vit was introduced and another couple of months now to lvl 55-62 and 35-61 on my spoiler. Vit has made leveling easier even for a casual player like myself.

Just hit 79 on my bd. No sub at all atm, dont want to level a sub would rather level an alt...but I am missing my sub skills. I figure if I login I would rather just level my main on his main class as it seems to do me more good at least until I am 80s.
AOE Chimeras or Single target Tully's (assuming support is OOP)You have it reversed. Chimera spawn got so nerfed, that AOE there is pretty tame. AOE in Tully's tho, that can do the trick.
started 1 year ago, level 79 on my SH and a SE. I got many levels during vitality agathion event, I basically was about 65 when I got 2 30 day agathions (at the last day of valentine event), and then while those agathions lasted I used them each 12 hours to get to level 4 max vit which is possible in 20 minuted and mass nukes both SE and SH have .. Before 76 I only did level 4 + level 3 vit down to max 2, and after 76 I did full 2+3+4 vit spent 2 times a day .. it was terrible grind but as the result I was 78+ a few days before the agathions expired. Since then I am exping about 1-2 hours a day (first in IoP, now at ketra) I am now 79.3 and 79.4.
i dont have tully access for my all my buffers i aoe green (the arcane mobs) and i get like 1% every 2 br

And especially with the nerf to chimeras, green aoe, even green single target is pretty good. The problem being, ofc, that it eliminates that hunting zone for anyone else, which tends to make people a little mad. But I guess it is that way for all aoe hunting spots.

Le'ts say that it would help you until 82, if u are pushing it. Well, this is good in the hero rift or pagan's until maybe 82, but after the the xp is not very good at all. In towers/tully's there are too many other undead mobs to make that a viable place to solo.
Fist toon was a gladiator on Teon made it to lvl 62 and the quit the game in August right after the independance day event when the clan I was in broke up. I started again in September 2005 on Devianne with an elf and made a spellsinger. Was awesome but has slowly turned into a gimp in pvp. But anyway he is 78 with a lvl50 sws sub. But I also have a 68 BH and a 62 WS. I also quit several other times and always came back. I quite to try a few of the latest and greatest games to come out but none of them kept me from coming back. I would say about a years worth of grinding was lost in all the time I quite.

First toon (BD) created since last week of C3 and he is still C grade, then create my main on March, 06. He is a 76 SM/59 Glad now...
Shortly after I created my main, I created a WS (now she is 62) cuz the game description say dorf can make a lot of $$$$ and as that time I was so broke...
wow...it took me almost a year to get my BD to 77 and I played 5-8 hours a day for half that time.
I did this playing solo/duo only. It took me 1 week for 1-52, 1 week for 52-61, no raids, no oop buffer, only newbie buffs. I'm playing 4-5 hours/day during week time, and 10+ in weekends, but there are days when I don't play at all, busy with something else. Also, my girlfriend has a Cardinal 77 78% created 1 month before mine, we always play together, and if it wasn't for her toon to leech, I would've been 78 long time ago :D. Since level 70 we're grinding only in SV, until 76 she summoned a Great Wolf with top gear to help me in killing but when I reached S grade we stopped using him. We're using ch buffs mostly, sometimes we benefit of a Doomcryer 78 when our friend doesn't need him.
I'm sure grinding on retail was harder before the Vitality system was implemented.
My main is SS just did ccq a few days ago, level 76, followed closely by StS same, did ccq a few days ago, level 76 also 5% below, many others, among them fenrir 73, GW 65, WC 67, etc...
Started c4, my main goal is not level, but clan life/helping others.

Pretty slow I guess, but you know, I have a full time job and a family. So I don't think it's too bad. Plus I had a year in there with an inactive account (I semi-quit and came back). :)
I used to be more hardcore. I got to 75 when it was still the level cap, which let me tell you, is much, much harder than it is to get to 75 today. No noob buffs, crappy gear, less XP from mobs, no Vitality etc. After I graduated from university though my game playing time went way down...

Not as difficult as it use to be to level with the vitality bonus, best gear for your level and a lot of friends with buffers :p And I've been playing Lineage for almost 4 years now, so it's nothing new for me.

I started back in C3, my highest was a 56 SE, (Opalecent) on Sieghardt /sniffles, and it took me entirely too long to reach said lvl. Sadly I deleted her about a year ago when I left for WoW, but alas, here I am again. So now my highest is a 44 arbalaster on one account, and a 30 scav on the other. Started again about 2 weeks ago :)
i'm able to obtain roughly 10-15% per day at lvl 77..
my Vit lvl 4 max length of time has been sharply cut in half for no reason at all killing the same things and gaining the same xp (marginally a few hundred xp per kill, meaning instead of 58,000 xp per kill, i'm getting 58,900xp)
Took 4 hours to get rid of the same vitality at 76, and only 2 hours at 77 xping in the same spot.. with the same party.... i'm the only one that is a different lvl.
i'm able to obtain roughly 10-15% per day at lvl 77..
my Vit lvl 4 max length of time has been sharply cut in half for no reason at all killing the same things and gaining the same xp (marginally a few hundred xp per kill, meaning instead of 58,000 xp per kill, i'm getting 58,900xp)
