How many people are you talking about? 5-10, or 100+ selling that many?

not sure, i dont check market often, but its hunderts and hunderts ews' recently appeared on teon, but if ews' are the same on other servers, i donts ee how it could be because of event
it's indeed disturbing that in less then a week enchant scrolls (any type) dropped so much in price.the quantaties of scrolls you see currently on teon market is amazing...
what the exact cause of this is will remain unknown like always :) but i got last week alone 4 EWS cubics. perhaps they increased the rates of getting decend cubics?

There were only several days about 1.5 - 2 months ago when ppl were selling ews for 70m. Apart from that, price in sell shops is between 50-55m. During last 4-5 weeks price was not changing. And there are no sell shops selling cheap massive amounts of ews right now.
there seems to be some kind of a new way of getting scrolls, NOT cubics (as teon ewa market price is lower than what you pay to freightman), which some players on teon has discovered recently .. they already boasting on goha.ru forums about that they can crash enchant scrolls market if they want (they already did imo).. anyway they say it's legit method that not many people know about yet. but hey, any exploiter would say that .. imo there is a bug somewhere, probably dupe type in some quest. I hope GMs will investigate before this gets to Phoenix. btw there was a well known dupe bug on Russian PTS. what if this bug also works on NA servers and they used that? who knows...
btw if you look at the market prices on a well known site, you'll see that it seems like this thing has only occured on Teon yet.

And it probably is. Unlikely that ews would be so easy to obtain. This is L2 we're talking about for christ's sake.
Gabriel, thats were you wrong, they wont ban anyone, they said its because of that event we had. So i guess enchant scrolls will be for free soon on teon. Because it will take 1-2 chronicles before they realize there is some problem.
I see... well, we can only hope the overflow ofenchants will just waste on oe attempts.
In any case, on the 16th we'll have a new wave since they bring back the kitties...
On franz the price of ews is 4-5 times what it was this summer (an ews was selling for 33-40 mil at most), meaning 120-170 mil...
the sad part is that they don't share it with us, make a lot of ews, spread em on as many chars as you've got and lay low..sell them through time....sell them all at once can mean only one thing: "me need rice" :P
Haven't seen this on Franz, if it is it might still be hidden (no such insidious merchant has surfaced).
I do hope they'll solve this, selling 500 ewa for 500k each screams exploit no matter how you look at it, it is far fetched to think otherwise tbh.
So, what's the real stand on this issue NCSoft ? (dreaming again that NCSoft will give any answer on this.. except "working as intended" that saves their face and they get away easy.. pff).

Now that explains a few things. I was wondering why my enchant scrolls weren't selling as good as some months ago. I was telling myself: "oh EWC, it must be possible somehow, if you buy a lot of cubic pieces or I don't know what...".

The event was from 11/25/2008 to 12/02/2008 for drops.
Events always had enchant scrolls as a reward (pigs/mice giving a lot of them), it's the first time it goes that epic.
I wonder if maintenance today is to fix this if they found out what was going on (if indeed there was some bug or exploit)...
well they are removing all the items related to that squash event so it may finaly have sinked into the GM's head that there was an exploit with the event and that they now are fixing by removing the items.
I just hope that they perma ban all the accounts that used the exploit and all the accounts that traded huge amounts of scrolls for free/adena to from those accounts.
You can resurrect a corpse, doesn't matter what corpse we talk about. If you are able to do it, and you are not supposed to then it might as well be considered a bug. Devs should hava made the squash an invalid target for rez skills/scrolls.
Don't think it is possible. I.e. maybe it is possible to use res scolls/skill on mob, but MOB don't have revive from death skill...
Any NPC haven't such possibility, thay may only respawn, but that is (should be) controlled explicitelly by server.

i played almost every waking hour during the event and i only got like 300 nectar total...but then again, i'm completely legit.

Got ~30 nectars total from drops, sure I am playing 1-3h per day.
And all other nectars were bought from players using buy shop. Some sold afterwards, and when few hours left till Buz the cat dissapear, all left nectars were echanged to seeds.

For these ews was funny things:
1. I didn't noticed when I got to inventory
2. on time I got it ews prices droped down to 20-25mils .... but for me it doesn't matter - I reserve these ews for mine needs, no sell.
Between my Wife, and myself... we broke open roughly 100 ~ 120 pumpkins. I'd say we were pretty lucky, and got at least 60~70 High Grade/Emperor Pumpkins. The best we got was 3 EA-S (2 from the same Pumpkin) and 1 EW-S. We did buy shops for the nectar, based off the last time we did this event and the return on investment we received, and this time around the prizes were horrible and can pretty much say we were lucky if we even broke even on this event this year.
