Kamael Classes Started Last reply 3 posts
hello i am 3 days in official and i came from interlude server so i dont know much :P.I am 38 lvl and soon i will have to choose soulbraker or arbalester who do you think is the best for pvp and more interesting as player and skills?:mad::mad:
More interesting is the soulbreaker due to the fact that it is a strong critical dependant swordsman/woman with dark magic attacks, debuffs and utility skills to use in battle.
The Soul Breaker really doesn't hit PvP effectiveness till late 60's/early 70's, but really it's with the 76+ skills that it really takes off. For pve/leveling it's actually does pretty well, stick to the same areas where daggers level(Garden of Beasts will be your solo home from 64-76). They get some really neat skills that you'll disregard when you first get them but as you go on you'll find they mysteriously come in handy. Weapons become a pain especially down the road because you'll want a nuker weapon along with your rapier as you get higher and higher your nukes start getting used more often, especially in pvp. The Maximum Ability given by +4 or higher rapiers is awesome to have, parties will be grateful for this. PvP takes a lot more practice than most classes because you'll have to learn to use every skill(and there a lot!) to defeat an opponent. You have to keep a cool head while dueling and be ready to react to whatever your opponent does, such as waiting for a tyrant to use Bison so you can steal it and such, hitting Painkiller when your opponent goes for their major burst damage skills. You'll lose a lot early on, just keep practicing because the class is rather fun to play. Towards the end, a lot damage starts coming from nukes suck as Extinction, Soul of Pain, Annihilation Circle, Leopold, and if a target is fully buffed Curse of Divinity(boy does this hurt then!). But don't forget about your melee skills as well, learning to weapon dance(switching back and forth between rapier and mage weapon for certain skills) helps a lot.

I have yet to play the Arbalester but from viewing its skill set I can see it's a class that is designed to fluster and infuriate an opponent with all the different traps(anything with de-target really ticks people off!). From what I've been told it plays a lot differently than most archer classes, less kiting and such.
