Hi im new u know, need some advices for dyes before buy something

im interested in PvE setup,
U think Majestic is good because Dyes of -con

Bye
Maj/Tallum +4 str +4 dex +4 wit -8 con -4 int
What would a DA need +WIT for?
What would a DA need +WIT for?

Faster panther? And drain?
And with -INT, is that drain still a viable option for mp usage?
yes, but its mainly for panther
Then I'd suggest using the cheap +4 wit -5 INT.
OOOOh i see thank u very much

Then Majestic was a good choice :D.
then its like this?

Maj/Tallum Heavy offcourse

+4 str - 4 con
+4 dex - 4 con
+4 wit - 5 int

all for faster kill, and faster phanter, im right?
there will be no problem with my HP right if im going to solo?

:)
You will still have decent HP base for exp with that setup, but I would go around tanking raids with it.
I tank with 25 con and its no problem.
Sword and Shield

Sword with focus, rsk focus or haste, Nightmare shield, Tallum Heavy, +4str -4con, (optional) +4dex -4con, +4wit -4int, panther

Vanguard

+4 Kesh*kesh, Tallum Heavy, same tats, panther

Tanking

Sword, Nightmare Heavy+shield, +4wit, -4int, panther

In CT2.Final, Panther owns. Overhit attack, stealth, dark weapon/surrender to darkness, cancel
Why kesh*kesh not tb*dama? And why nm?

Nightmare is the best A grade Heavy armor for tanking. And it's shield bonus rules for DA's
Yes because 5% will make any difference...

No, not really lol.

it boosts your reflect damage. Not much of a boost of 5%, but what do you expect to get out of a shield? +2 con?
NM set is terrible and its shield bonus is a joke. Btw -dex from nm set reduces block rate... There is no point in having extra armor for raids, just wear your xp set.

Well there is a quite large difference between wearing nightmare heavy and tallum w/shield when it comes to tanking as tallum offers very little defense for a trade off for great offensive power. Also -2dex doesn't affect humans that much as compared to the elven classes.

Dont use tallum, use maj heavy. Most high end areas stun anyway.

Hm.. I don't have much a problem with stun, especially since I kep my target stunned and almost kill them before it wears off.

lvl70 DA fully buffed avarenge p.def with shield: NM 2761, Tallum 2686. Less then 3% is large difference for you?

Hey do whats best for you and I'll do whats best for me :)

The difference isn't really in the p.def stat. What shields add and can do is NOT included in p.def calculations. Also a random set with a random shield doesn't work as good as a set with a matching shield, as tallum /dc shield (or nm shield for that matter) will always differ from a NM set /nm shield.
Also tallum is an offensive set and gives a negative impact on your HP while NM does the exact opposite, making it a more defencive choice. Maj and tallum are on the same tree, one being top the other being the lower grade and NM and DC are the defencive choices that too makes it somewhat wrong to do a strict 1v1 comparison between tallum and NM NM is top grade while tallum is low grade. This also has an impact for the new -PvP addition from famepoints aswell making differences even larger. NM being defencive can be argued with its +4% p.atk bonus but that's not where to look thats just a nice sidebonus, its the +2/-2 stats that. Offensive sets go +str -con and defensive go +con -whatever.
Now all this aside it ultimately comes down to your own personal preference of how you enjoy to play. Yes RB's *can* be tanked in tallum, yes You *can* PvE in NM. No everyone *cant* afford double armorsets to switch between as they please.

SO the ultimate choice is really how do You enjoy playing Your tank? If someone asks give him tips and tricks of how You like to play Your tank. Do NOT claim everyone else is wrong and attempt to enforce Your point of view on other people, just give your opinion on the matter once and leave it be. Almost everything is doable, thats the beauty of this game :)
At 7x alot of mobs start using stun on ya. Just wear majestic, its a good set :D
hi thank u all

then its ok to say Maj is for solo and nightm is for tanking?

and thanks DarthKamikitten.

:)
Up until Gracia Final tallums 8% atk speed bonus reduces reuse time on skills. Something else to consider ;)
May I postulate:

Tallum for PVE
Majestic for PVP

Looks may or may not also be a large consieration for you :p
Sorry for triple post lol I'm in a hurry

Whatever you go with or have gone with they are all fairly decent, majestic also can put on the pvp bonus as its a high A armour. Stun resist pve will depend where you hunt - hot springs come to mind.

As far as i've seen and been told this will only apply to certain prophecies and some of the totems that tyrants have. If anyone has some other info please post the link to it here so i can catch up ^^

If this change applies on ALL skills it would deal a fatal blow to every class using tallum heavy for PvP+PvE and turn it into a strict PvE set. Not cool >.< I dont wanna switch to maj heavy... it looks like crap with the excessive shoulderpads >.<
Thaaaank You

all this answers will make me a great DA

thank you everyone
This is the set up i am thinking for when my DA gets to A Grade

TallumBlade w/Haste OR DLE w/Health
Tallum Heavy
+4 CON -4 Dex AND/OR +4 STR -4 Dex

Anyone tried this set up or any variation on it? Thanks in advance.
I have a Hell Knight 77 and I have used every single heavy set, IC Heavy, NM Heavy, Majestic Heavy, Tallum Heavy and DC Heavy... and I still have all those with me. Each set has its prons and cons.

Since the topic is mentioning help with DA (not S grade yet) I am posting my own experience from them leaving the IC set aside.

** Tallum Heavy **
I loved the bonus of attacking speed. It does make difference in pve and pvp specially if you have a weapon with haste and crit. damage or even a weapon with health. If you add +4 DEX tats to it,,,, killing machine. The bad part of it ??? the P.def is not that great as compared with Maj and NM set. Highly recommended if you go to Wall of Argos to xp because the set will help A LOT avoiding bleeding and poison from mobs there. I wouldn't dare to tank a raid boss with Tallum unless the healer is a very trusted and skilled healer. You will work him/her out healing but that is why you have friends for,..... :D

** Majestic Heavy **
Definatelly the best set to combat stun mobs (like those hot springs). The p.def is the same as NM set and better than Tallum. Even now, if I ever venture to Hot Springs (green mobs) I rather use Majestic than IC set because the stun resistance. You can use Majestic to tank a raid.
Now, I do not recall one time where another DA/HK higher than me won in pvp (before the update and introduction of element to S weapons) while I was using Majestic (at 73-75) except the fiew times Shield Slam landed on me. The stun resistance makes difference.

** NM Heavy **
If you are officially the main tank for raids at A grade I would rather use NM set instead of the other two. 5% bonus reflection might not be much BUT it makes difference in RAIDS and also creates additional aggro from the Raid Boss.

** DC Heavy **
This set has low p.def compared to Maj and NM. The bonus of shield block rocks though and the joke of % heal increment is not worth it to mention. I was never paralyzed from mobs nor necros in pvp while using the set.

Long story short, each set has its cons and pros. There is no set that can give you all imo. I have used them in pvp and pve and each set is different that is why I keep having them with me. Plan what you want to do and use the set that best suits your play style and the zone you gonna xp.
