Hey all, Iv been playing l2 for awhile and in previous chronicles daggers were jokes for tyrants, I could easily take on 2 or 3 daggers my level or higher (78 + ) So.. since I recently started playing retail again and on a new server I had to remake my tyrant always its been a fun ride but i'm finding that now my old setup is really lacking in pvp from what it used to be chronicles ago.
Daggers are simply far to powerful now or my setup is seriously lacking something... Im currently 76 with DG's SA'd with health my tats are +5 con +4 str -9 dex and Im also wearing tallium heavy while in orge tonight I had a dagger bluff me then hit me for 7.9k followed by 2.1k leaving me with 800 hp after i was out of the stun... I do know that the dagger I was fighting is 79 and has almost full boss jewels but at the same time its a bit ridiculous.. So was wondering :) Should I drop my old tactics and go with the +5 str and Light armor?
Just fishing for some other experinces you've had or whatever since the past few new chronicles.. i dont bot or ebay so getting gear/the levels is a lot slower..
1: get Drac light. 2: get Health (or focus) Splints. 2: get 79+. youre missing an extremely valuable PVP skill called Raging Force (or force sp. rage or something). also you can get Force UD, very helpful esp in oly. 3: get some Fire defence, and some buffs. that dagger likely had 3k or more Patk and landed a lethal.
you just cant pvp an S grader using your A gear. it DOESNT fly these days what with elemental attributes especially.
apart from that it sounds like you need a review of your totems and some lessons in sorting out wat to use and when, but i'll leave that to the pvp pros. i just post here.
mhm I wouldn't say that im a PVP pro but im well above average when it comes to pvp. As far as totems go I fully understand them and rarely lose a 1 vs 1 regardless of the class or did up until this new patch (Within reason.. of course getting anchored or sometimes against DA if he or she played the class well would put up a very tough fight and ofcourse summoners in a 1 vs 1 are always near impossible if you dont out pot them/ out last there mana) .. I have never had S grade armor only splitters without health on them and I never really had a problem with killing other S graders in full S grade. Im well aware of raging force and our UD its just going to take forever :P But thanks for the attempt. I have had a 78 GK among a few other end game level characters. Hope I'm not sounding rude or anything but its just so you don't confuse me with someone who doesn't know what there doing with the class. was really just asking if the gracia patch etc really changed something or im overlooking something now than it was back in C4-C5.. i know theres alot of changes but daggers seem 10x more effective then they were before...
I'm just not used to these elemental Attr.these days i suppose but I really didn't think that they would make this much of a difference. and turns out the dagger had a BD dancing for him aswell..
lets put it this way, +150 fire attribute (or any attribute) spikes your damage output to around 1.7 or 1.9x cant remember the exact number.
so ele attributes help attack, but when each piece in your set get +30 att (might want to spread that around for each element on all items - i.e. 30 fire on helmet, 30 water on gloves, 30 dark on boots 30 holy on chest) and stack all ele resists you can get, youll be +100 or so ele resist and take really low damage.
get elemented splints. put pvp on them. this will instantly double your damage and give you a chance to chance your target when you melee them. dont be scared to zealot bison, it's lame but it's the easy button.
+'d Demon Splinters Health 150 Fire get it augmented
+'dDraconic Light, resistance is your choice
+'d Tat jewerly, jewerly can be augmented by getting 5 same type/level lifestones and combining them at a blacksmith for an accesroy lifestone. hope for a resistance augment like +10 dark, etc
Your primary totem is puma, attack speed>all, when your hp gets real low and your mp isn't looking too hot and your on your oponent, if you like, you can hit off a bison for some mad crits to make up for lack of skills
For being at level 78 you can get a skill that you WILL be using a lot
The attribute information was nice thank you guy's as for the skills etc as stated before i know what I'm doing when it comes to skills and totems :P...
My basic "Kill Order" is Force storm, Force Blaster, Raging force until one of the two (Storm or blaster) is recharged unless the opponent is close enough then after I used raging force back to 7 or 8 from the blaster i follow with a Hurricane + Soul breaker or Blaster.
It's just two bad i can't put stones on A grade armor or am i misinformed?
just returned player going to get all that? i have been playing like never taking break and i never able to get 150 fire/ +++ s fists, drac set. i do have S grade but i mean it too radical for new player.
thats true its sick. but why does ppl never mention crt.stun sa on splinters??? while on bison noone can resist it. at least i suppose so
Well it doesn't help that much in PvP. Actually it doesn't help much in PvE either except for poles who has that low chance of stun for multiple targets

try to use anti-stun as much as possible against high lvl daggers, u said u know he was 79, well actually..if u see S grade, i think they get bluff on 77 i did not checked now. tactcs on skills wont say and from what u say i dont think u need. anyway they are very hard to kill now. much powerfull skills and u cant do too much against them.
for knightofdarkness..u just say top gear there. top gear does not always win.
There... is no top S armor, there is one for each type heavy, light and robe.
Also S grade is the step into elemental attack and defensive which completely changes aspects of PvP and puts it way over the defense of A grade armor
Such as in fighting a Spellhowler
you would want to use your wind elemented S armor over your Majestic or you will feel the sting of that 150, soon to be 300+seed wind vortex, hurricane, crusher=dead

against daggers dont use ogre. the added pdef will do very little to their leathal which is the only way they will kill you. use puma all the way. try to land stun and use your skills, you should win unless the dagger lands a few leathals.
