Would it be nice to use your fame points to buy apella rather than make a clan and lvl a ton of characters from 1-40 then just deleting em and repeating it? Personally I like the idea of having people participate in sieges or fortress battles to get this unique armor :|
I don't know how others are getting them besides the obvious methods. (1) get a large mass of characters and lvl them all @ once (2) raid bosses (400-500).
Basically what am asking is wouldn't it be nice to use frame points instead of rep points to get apella armor? much like getting coins to get unique shirts?
I think they should just lower the price in rep points. People can donate their fame points into clan rep so it's not too much of a problem; just the price lol.. it's very high and low level clans will take a lifetime to even get the gloves!

Well there are other options to obtain crp (clan reputation points) rather than lvling academy toons, however I do think the 'price' for the apella set is quite dumb. But obtaining fames ain't that hard after all... unless they change that you have to be alive to gain fame rather than the current way.

They already lowered them significantly, I think too low honestly. To get the Improved Apella Heavy set, it's only like... 7k Rep Points, if even that anymore. I mean, just to give an idea how easy that is, I did 3 Academy characters last night from 1-40, took only 4 hours or so and +1950 Rep Points.
As for the Original Topic, a Big No. I would say at least 70% of people who are getting fame, do nothing more than stand around, or lay dead on some Siege or Fortress Field. Sure you can use Fame to get Rep. Points, but at least it's a low ratio considering how pathetically easy getting Fame Points is.
At the very least, laying dead on a field should start a Counter for Negative fame.

Ya Negative fame if your just afk on the ground while on the siege field (Hates those types of ppl that do that stuff)

In addition, why the hell does the apella have a 0% lost of xp but it doesn't say on the item it's benefits of not loseing xp?

I can see this being an exploit for stealing other peoples reputation and not dropping %. In fact I heard people already saying they can steal rep without loseing a single drop of xp someone wana confirm? (mind fixing this potiental exploit?)

Very Easy, and your Vitality always remains at level 4! Although, I would only recommend doing it if your after simply Reputation points, because there is little to no profitability in it. Also, will pretty much get heavily nerfed in the upcoming update.
Think about what has been said, and it will all make sense! :D
..back to the fame/rep point thing, the exchange rate for fame points to rep points is horrible. And as for the farming for fame point by being dead on seige/battle fields...someone suggested that to me recently after I made my initial negative response here regarding that idea...I was irritated. I'd rather fight for fame than lay around dead and farm it like a bot. But that's me.
As for levelling toons...wish I could do it that quickly. Your vit doesn't really stay at full that much, tbh. It *does* drop pre-40. Trust me. But oh well. To each his/her own.

I have thought about it over and over and I still can't understand what you mean, Jyrki. Unless it's about using higher level weapons on your newbs (like S grade fists or something), and that's out of question for me (since well, I don't have S grade fists).

I hate people that take credit for others, whether it comes to kills or "fame points", I believe when I get to a high enough level to do siege, the people laying on the ground soaking up fake fame points will be added as a friend so therefore later I shall stalk then lay waste to the useless ******** :]]
I got no problem with dead people getting pvp fame points. It goes in 5 minute intervals, so what about the people / classes that die alot..? Should sacrificing yourself alot for the greater cause not give you points..?
I think thats fine as it is :) You still have to be signed up to get points, what harm does it matter if someone goes and carcasses themselves for points, doesnt hurt anyone, whereas the negative or missing out on points will.
As far as cheaper apella, I had no idea they made it cheaper already. Is that for improved apella..? Last I knew was about 20k CRP for a heavy set.
Gee dont wanna see too many people in it... xp less pvp anywhere that would remove the feel of it, and a pain in *** to get changed everytime pvp comes up.
