I don't know if this is really a bug, or if it just concerns Luna only, but there seems to be a problem with exchanging the Weapon Exchange Ticket- the type of the weapon doesn't match the desired one. I wanted duals and got Two-Handed sword. My clanmate wanted a fist weapon and got... Two-Handed sword. Does anyone else have such an issue?
i had exactly the same issue in sayha server, i'm really mad >< i asked for dual swords and got a 2 handed sword, pretty sucked up i got +8 dragon slayer and had 1169 p.attack with it and with my +4 dama*tal (14 less p.attack than +8DS) had 1220 p.attack....
why is it 2h swords only? doesnt make sense.... sucks for any archers/daggers out there who have absolutley NO use for a 2h (at least SwS/gladi/tanks/etc might get away with using one)
We are aware of the issue regarding the weapon exchange for the Saving Santa event and are looking into it. Please be patient and we will update you when we have more information.
And it's very annoying. When you finally get Santa to visit... you get all excited and all, go there... choose a MAGE weapon (which doesn't even list a mage sword... I'm thinking that there's no real top mage sword, just blunts? -shrugs-), and he gives you...

yeah i hope they fix it too, got a gift on my SE but havent actually opened to save it for future advice on this.
by the way they should add any kind of anti-pk for killing the turkey, in sayha server when go in get your alts PKed by Lv.80s and see a lot of reds in there, maybe while its event turn it into a kind of safe area???

omg... When an event weapon is equipped it will give a temporary passive skill. The passive skill received will depend on the classification of weapon being used (ie: blunt, dagger, dualsword, etc...).
So what if you get another weapon?? have fun and stop complaining already! it's FREAKING FREE!!

You ask us to be patient, but I am disappointed :( I have just few days to have fun with this event. I got the christmas gift, and I have tried to exchange the coupon for rapier but I have got - two-handed sword. :/
I hope the developers not only will fix this bug, but also you will give correct replacement for this and it will be not limited by time. Just after opening this replacement, it can be 4-hours shadow again. Why? because some ppl are going to their family for holidays, where they will be not able to play and when they come back, they will have to be able to use this replacement.

the only 2 passive skills, which I got for Heaven's Divider, are:
Special Ability: PVP Damage 1 Increases damage inflicted during PvP.
Holiday Dream Weapon 1 = Max CP i sincreased. The rate and power of critical attacks are increased.

According to Kinslon only getting the 2h sword is a bug so hopefully when it's fixed you will be able to get the correct weapon. Maybe later rather than sooner though.

Then you should also be aware that ppl that aren't in combat mode and just standing/sitting outside peace zone also gets the gifts so you only need to meet one condition to get a gift.
Maybe the "combat requirement" can be interpreted as "if your group is in combat". I personally am very happy about the fact that Santa visited me twice on my healer. There is no way for me to be ever considered "in combat" unless I "trance" mobsies which in most cases is completely out of the question because I need to save my mp for heals.
It'd be lovely to get an update as soon as possible on the "weapon issue" so we can wait with opening our gift sets until it is worth doing so :)

completelly agree, should at least make them disappear either right after event ends or possibly give them more like 24 hour limited time (and make santa spawn more often, maybe if spawns in a party to give gifts to all the party and not just 1 person...) because most of us have things to do and as SecretGlow said, others going to their family for holidays and then when got free time and wanna play L2 to wait for santa to spawn its a pain (took me around 2 hours for first spawn and then more like 4 hours for the next spawn)

Sorry, I can't use a +13 Dragon Slayer on my NECRO.
It's completely useless. If I had a fighter class (maybe on my Glad, if I got a +13 DS, it'd be more useful), but on my Necro, it's not worth it. My Soul Breaker can't use ANY of his skills with a Dragon Slayer at all.
It's fun to look at, but it's a bug. Should be fixed. I hope it gets fixed soon.
Same for mine. But I am in Nightmare Robes, unless it's a REAL difference (it was only what? Mm... 40 more matk from the DS compared to my SoM), I'd rather have the acumen instead. Mine has an Acumen SA, so it wasn't worth it for me to use the DS instead.

If I were soloing (as usual), I'd agree. I was in IT last night so the acumen SA wasn't making or breaking me.
Well, yes, when in party, it shouldn't be a problem. But I was soloing IN VoS so you know... Acumen means my life (literally in some cases).
And also, Santa decided to visit me when I was about to go to bed. I should have saved the stocking but I didn't notice that the stocking didn't have a timer on it. Next time, I'll save it and open it only when I can truly use the gifts.

Haha.. I'm going to my partners family home for Christmas and her mother is an avid L2 player... I may very well be online during my break! Not much tho..
You know, as a dorf, at least you can use the two-handed sword (if it's better than your blunt, of course) with no problem. You even get a skill for it.
Now try using it on a Necromancer, or a Soul Breaker (whose all skills are dependant on the rapier). Not fun...
hopefully the fix will increase the drop rate for santa, cause ive been hunting a lot since the event started and ive not gotten ONE present, while all my friends and random people around me have gotten at least 2+ :( (one of my friends even has 11!)

yeah, hope they increase it too, i have been hunting for at least 6 hours and no visit >< (just 1 random visit then started exping like mad and no other visits) while other people have seen him 4 - 5 times

But what about kamaels? Is there a choice for rapier etc ?

i think sante hates SwS's. its tue, i've been exping my heart out since it started yesterday, and have not gotten a present still. while everyone else in the **** server has at least 3+. i swear he hates SwS's cause we sing "HoHoHo! Merry Christmas!" better then he does. :(
Do not feel bad Grimnar... I also have played for 12+ hours without receiving a visit from this mysterious Mr. Clause. I think if I do see him at anytime I will PK him just for the heck of it. I mean he got taken hostage by a turkey for crying out loud the guy can't be too hard to smack down.

Ofc there was already ppl hitting her.. Anyway, during the first hour santa visited 7 times. We were 4 ppl.
5 of the times he came to the same char, and the last two he gave one each to the other two guys..
And I still hadn't gotten anything this morning when i woke up :P
But i did get some though when i was hunting yesterday.
